You should disable eco-mode, my mercedes mechanic told me that it puts great pressure on the transmission chain each time it restarts, for a very limited petrol saving. I also had the wheel speed sensor issue, twice. And it costs around 350€ to get both replaced, twice (in a 5 years period). Appart from that, no major issue.
I have C200 1.8L 2014 AMG which has clocked 340K kilometres, and i love it. Soundless engine without any issues... I replace engine oil at 4000 miles and transmission oil at 30,000 miles. Coolant every 2 years. Brake fluid every 2 years. Differential oil every 3 years..Also, i run vehicle for 5 minutes in idle speed for turbo charger to cool down everything before switching off my engine.
I have a 2013 C350 with original 85k km (53k miles) and the driver seat is already slightly torn on the bottom bolstering just like in you vireo. So yeah, seats give up quick on these.
Did you notice a drop in mpg when you had the leaking fuel hose? I get a smell of petrol outside the car and even though mine is a c250 I only get low 30’s for mpg even on motorway.
@@Hamish767 I've noticed the smell as soon as I bought the car and got it into the garage, sorry I didn't check mpg at the time. Mine on motor way is about 45-52mpg
Which one do you have, a C300 or C250? Mine is a 2013 C250 with 104k miles. Bought it with 36k miles and I only had to replace the alternator and just regular maintenance of course. And for the subframe, mine is great. I did get a warranty for it but I don’t need it. It probably depends where you live such as a place where it snows. I’m here in cali so that probably explains why mine is in great condition.

#11 -- Seat belt buckle. The wire that provides the signal to the SRS controller when the seatbelt is latched breaks. The solution is to replace the buckle. Search RUclips on how to replace the buckle. This was a problem with the W203, as well. The symptom is that the airbag light comes on. Rear subframe has 20year unlimited miles warranty. Thankfully mine broke when guys at repair shop checked suspension with pipe. One corner broke right off😅 Dealer changed it for free but scamed me out of 2 controlarms and 1 or 2 hours work for it. Just say you are afraid of your safety or just brake it yourself
You are best to get the wax or oil protection. Something like fluid film and give it a good coating because the rust will not only be confined to the rear subframe. Get the car on a ramp and get all the plastic covers off. Almost the whole underside is covered. You maybe shocked at what you reveal. Even the wheel arch liners are hiding all sorts of nastiness. Look out for brake pipes too. These rot in places where they cannot be seen by your mot tester. Same with the subframe. Mercedes have said they are going to continue replacing subframes on all cars under 20 years old. I haven't heard of any refusals of this warranty work. But no point replacing the subframe is there is nothing left to bolt it to!
Elv engine lock failure is one of the worst failures that can happen to your life. Imagine this on a mountain top in minus degrees. I can't understand how Mercedes didn't think of this.
If you had a m156 with that mileage, you'd be looking at a lot more than 600 pounds lol just 1 camshaft is £700, not to mention camshaft adjusters, lifters etc. Good video, you missed rusted break lines tho, that will need doing sooner or later due to poor material choice from factory.
I'm not entirely sure as this has been done by independent mercedes garage, but it was one of the feeding into the engine close to the cabin air box as it was strong smell inside
I have the wheel speed sensor error, I checked with OBD and also with the secret menu, it's the rear right. I replaced it, and deleted the error code. The error comes back. I noticed if I drive very slow, (walking speed), all four sensors show a reading in the menu. Only after I speed up the rear right shows zero. Could it be the magnetic ring, on the hub? If it is, it seems like a big job, the part is cheap, not sure if I should attempt it myself. Any thoughts?
@paulthilwind8492 Sounds like the abs ring. If you never changed the brake discs it might take you a while. There's plenty youtube videos on how to do it though. Before you do that I would try to double check the ring. Get a q tip and put it in the wheel speed sensor area to clean from any dirt or grease. Then get a phone camera in there when you spin the hub and record if there's anything obvious you could see so you can have 100% that's it's abs ring. You will see if it's damaged. Good luck
