This is the best binding tutorial I've found on RUclips by far! Thank you for such an easy, clear explanation and going back over some of your steps. Thank you to your "long-suffering" husband who always gets roped into filming your videos! He's such a gem! 😉

As an seasoned sewer of clothes and a newbie at quilting - this RUclips is valuable and easy to understand. I too prefer to machine stitch and I've just completed my first quilt with machine stitched binding and will never go back to hand stitching if I don't have to. Thank you.

Thank you! Everytime I make and attach binding, I watch this video. You have such a nice way of explaining it that makes me unafraid of it not being perfect. In other words, it relaxes me and assures me that it will be okay even if it's "wonky," as my quilts often are! Very encouraging!

I have made about 5 quilts so far and I can tell you that I will NEVER do my binding any other way but the way you have shown on this video!!!! Thank you for taking the grinch out of the ending to beautiful quilts. I could never get the ending of the binding to look great but I can now and I love the no ironing on the binding ! This is only my second quilt that I have completely sewn. I always did the hand sewing on the backside but I will start doing total machine binding thanks to your tutorial ! You have given me the tools to improve and I thank you for all you do! God Bless!

Excellent, time-saving tutorial with nice, clear instructions and visuals - thank you so much. It was most helpful to see how you begin the binding on the back with the fold and sewing that down - then skipping to several inches from that to begin stitching the binding on; also that you don't need to press the fold in the binding. Now I can keep my hand sewing to the hand embellishment stitching that I enjoy - machine binding is so much more practical.

This is the easiest by far way to finish the binding using a machine. The fold in part at the end saves all that measuring and trying to get an exact length joining. Just tuck it in and press before sewing the binging down from the top side. Make sure thread matches to binding color on top and bottom fabric in bobbin.
