- Why Manor Lords is one of the Best Games in History
Manor Lords has recently released in early access on Steam and on Xbox Game Pass for PC which has been met with a lot of positive reviews and I fully understand why. This game was created by a single developer known as Greg, a lot of passion and effort went into creating the game and because of that it absolutely smashed his expectations when it came to wishlists and now sales with it being rumoured the game has sold 1,000,000 copies in the first 24 hours.
Greg's girlfriend estimated the game would get around 7,000 wishlists while Greg himself estimated 14,000 and just before release the game had 3,000,000 and has just reached a peak of 173,000 concurrent players on Steam alone. So why is it one of the best games in history, I'll let the video explain and I want you guys to let me know your thoughts about Manor Lords in the comments :D

Is this a joke? Like seriously. Go play Farthest Frontier or Ostriv bro. Nothing Manor Lords is doing is new. What an absolutely wild take.
In it's current state calling it one of the best games in history is wild. A lot of the things you are praising are fairly standard for colony sims, the graphics seem to be the only thing really propelling it above other similar projects. BUT, I agree that it has massive potential, it has a solid base and with enough work it may become one of the greatest games out there, just that it will be way down the road.
It's very odd to call what is basically a tech demo to be one of the greatest games in history. It appears to be 20% done.
If you listen to what he says, you'll understand the reason for his opinion. It's more about what's been achieved so far, how it's being developed, and impressions on what's to come.

Definitely one of the best games ever made. My Minecraft-obsessed 12 year old son hasn't touched it since Manor Lords released. He and I both played literally 14 hours or more hours straight Both Saturday and Sunday, and stayed up until 11:00om Friday night.
This was his first game we had to talk about how to control the addiction, so to say. Even in its current state, it is one of the best games I have ever played, and I have played games for 40 years.
@Mhantrax it is quite addictive even to people who aren't into this genre. I think the camera and the ability to be a part of the village really do set it apart.
It’s great game but theres not much to do. After the 50 hour mark I found myself bored and not really willing to start again knowing the outcome is exactly the same.
Not just in gaming but with all products you can feel if the producers are driven by money or a passion. And thats what you can feel in this game.
I only play on a standard/non gaming laptop, and I love the game so much! Even if I'm running at low settings. As a kid this would be my dream game.

DAmn after Stardew Valley, Manor Lords, heroes alone are making history in videogames
I think it’s just too early to tell atm. I’m enjoying playing it fs, but the main thing holding it back imo is UX design (which features do what, where information is, etc) niddy gritty stuff. If we can get castles, bigger battles, cooler maps, cavalry, and a few other things like that then this game definitely will be in the running for one of the best of all time. For now, all we know is it is a VERY impressive and enjoyable city builder with great atmosphere and skirmishes

hm, judging by the title of this video, I'm assuming this dude havent played many games in his life. THIS, is one of the best games in history? How long is that list, is the game like listed at position 9999 on a 10000 long list of games that's "the best" ? Because you can seriously tell us that this game is one of the top 5 best game EVER made. If you truly believe that, well, good for you, I wont fault you for having your own opinion. But this isnt a video titled "WHY *I* think this is one of the best games in history". You state it as a FACT, Manor Lords is simply, whether people agree or not, one of the very best games EVER made. FFS, what are you smoking mate, and can I have some?
Red dead redemption 2. Baldur's Gate 3. Mass Effect trilogy. Several of the Final Fantasy games. And the list goes on and on. And you're basically saying THIS, unfinished, BUIGGY *early access* game is one of the best games ever? I'm completely serious here, and not 'hating' on ya dude, but what the heck are you smoking? What games have you actually played in your life? Super Mario and Zelda, and that's it? Then of course if you played a FEW games in your life, it's kinda easy for ANY game to be 'the best'.
This was a super hyped game. Of course there's a lot of people playing it on the first couple of days. You referred to the concurrent players on steam. Now please, go check BG3's record, CSGO, Leage of Legends. Red dead. etc etc etc. You did after all claim this is a great game because it had just over 100k concurrent players.
Amount of wishlisted means NOTHING dude. It doesnt automatically make it "the best ever". I wishlist a lot of SHIT on steam, so that I dont forget about a game that might come out late this year or next year. Doesnt mean THAT Game will be the greatest, might even be crap.

I even wasted time watching this entire video. Yet I couldn't hear a solid reason WHY it's one of the best games *EVER* . All you list is things that's true for HUNDREDS of other games.

Games great but it needs proper ai lords on the map that build their own settlements, or even just the baron needs to be on the map
I find the mechanics very solid so far and the graphics are excellent but there's no denying it's EA. Perhaps a little premature to call it one of the best game in history.

No game looks or plays like “next gen” games, not even the “next gen” games themselves and that’s not what makes a game good. This game was created by 1 person and you can see it’s made from passion. The game wasn’t rushed, the gameplay is solid, it looks good and they have the community in mind, something you rarely see these days
