I lived in a house on the Rogue river on the east edge of Grants Pass for about 10 years, lots of people kayaking down the river there, beautiful place with the mountains in the background.
We are two retired Texans. We are planning to do this hike next June. I have reservations at Farewell Bend just to the north of your 1st stop at the gorge.
Untouched by man! - That has to be a rare thing! That scenery is gorgeous, but I would expect no less from Oregon! 😁Love all those mossy rocks! Beautiful pics! Jaw dropper is an understatement! Thanks for sharing this amazingly awesomely breathtakingly beautiful video! Whew, that is a lot of ly's! 🙂🤗🤩No cute bouncy ears this time, but I will deal!
Hahaha I know right wish we had the ears in every video!! You will just love Oregon can't wait til you're enjoying it as much as we did. Thanks for watching along 😀
At 18:36 “it ranges from 30 to 60 degrees like throughout the Rogue River.” Maybe above the Lost Creek reservoir, but not below Grants Pass. Not in the hot part of the year.
I should’ve gone to this area when I went to crater lake from Medford. Watching this makes me wants to get out there again but on a motorcycle. One day I want a camper for my pickup to do what u guys do. Great video and thanks for the inspiration. Cheers!
At 4:10 “designated wild and scenic for the whole river.” No. There’s a huge dam at Shady Cove. You camped on the reservoir last night. Above that reservoir there is a smaller dam called the North Fork Diversion Dam. Wild and scenic designation is from above that dam’s reservoir up to the National Park Border. Below Grants Pass the Rogue is designated Wild and Scenic from the mouth of the Applegate River to the mouth of Lobster Creek. Within the category “Wild and Scenic” there are three subcategories of “wild”, “scenic” and “recreational.”
I love going to nature and pretending I’m still a part of it. I hate cities and people(abundant and or nasty people) Oregon has so much mOre to explore than what posted online too. You could go up any mountain with a little bit of sense of direction and still have a blast. Hope you guys are being safe where u go
We pretty much took him everywhere with us. If he wasn't on the trail with us and if the weather was cool enough (pretty much always was) he would just sleep in the truck.

In UT we say H2O as knife, wind as sandpaper.
Can I ask what you do to keep your dog safe, when you go out for your day trips without him?

I got the oompa loompa joke. No need to apologize.
