Every time I think of Oregon the first thing that comes to my mind: Gravity Falls. But it's not just because it's my favorite show, it's because Oregon has that suspenseful, mystery feel that I love. Woods, trails, waterfalls, rivers, beaches, everything. I think that's why I want to meet so much.

Oregon has been my home for my entire 28 years here. I’ve been to all these places and explored all the corners of the state. I have thought about leaving many times but can’t because the trees, mountains, and waterfalls keep me here. If you’re an outdoor person, you’ll love Oregon. And Washington. The Pacific Northwest is gorgeous.

I am planning to take my wife and kids there this summer for vacation. We love to see water falls, jungles, wilderness, coastlines and things like that. Can you tell me the best time to get there? we love warmer weather but not too hot. Appreciate your help.

@@homayoonwafaie6524 how long are you planning to stay? Depending on where you’re from and how hot. I would say late spring like may or beginning of June. It’s about 60-75°. Not as many spring showers. Getting into July and august, we have some 100° days. But usually only those couple of months. Spring and fall are perfect weather here for hiking and exploring. Fall is to die for here. The coastline is beautiful but there isn’t really a great time for the coast. Just go when you’re here lol beautiful sites, but can be windy and gloomy a lot. Which I’ve come to love. I love the foggy, gloomy, rainy days so I love the coast lol. But the Oregon coast isn’t for people who like to lay on the beach like Florida or california.

@@homayoonwafaie6524 the weather definitely changes constantly but typically between June- August are the hottest months ranging around anywhere from 60°-100° but the spring months are probably the best timing with less freezing temperatures even though it can still be chilly some days

Every roadside pullout has hidden views, little trails, snowy mountains, old growth forest, expansive river and ocean views, towering waterfalls, deep blue lakes..they are literally everywhere! I am convinced this is the most beautiful state in all of the lower 48 US states. I love it here. Good to point out though, that some places are not accessible in the winter months, and beware of the ocean. It is as treacherous as it is dramatically beautiful. ❤

Oregon is one of the most geographically diverse states in the U.S., marked by volcanoes, abundant bodies of water, dense evergreen and mixed forests, as well as high deserts and semi-arid shrublands. At 11,249 feet (3,429 m), Mount Hood, a stratovolcano, is the state's highest point. Oregon's only national park, Crater Lake National Park, comprises the caldera surrounding Crater Lake, the deepest lake in the United States. The state is also home to the single largest organism in the world, Armillaria ostoyae, a fungus that runs beneath 2,200 acres (8.9 km2) of the Malheur National Forest.

When you go back don't miss the Painted Hills, part of the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument. It's about two hours north of Bend. Listed as one of the Seven Wonders of Oregon. Happy travels!

Native Oregonian, the movie Stand By Me was filmed in the town founded by my family (Brownsville, maiden name is Brown), that, too is a great place to go. There is a museum with a converted traincar that is a small movie theater that shows silent movies. They have entire storefronts from the 19th century inside the museum. There are memorable spots throughout the town from the movie Stand By Me, such as the spot where the coin was picked up in the street, pioneer park where the pie eating contest was, etc. Very fun, historical, and interesting place.

Wallowa in northeast Oregon is my FAVORITE place in the world! On the backside of the lake (it dead ends) are cabins, river, horse rentals, lots of hiking, or horse riding into the blue mountains and several lakes. There is a beautiful camp ground on the lake and and a huge lodge. Before the lake is the small town of Joseph, and Enterprise. It's MAGICAL!!!

To see the angry Pacific in a violent storm is something you will never forget. And (If you're prepared for it.) Winter camping in the Wallowa Mtns. is more than just cool, its damn cold! Last time I was there it was minus 37 degrees in Joseph. Oregon is so beautiful you can live here for years and not see half of what there is. Thanks for part one, there's plenty more.

A great video tour of Oregon! Seeing people cliff dive into the Blue Pool was impressive, but people have died doing so. The water is so cold that it can cause muscles to seize up and a risk of drowning. That being said, the trail is fantastic and there is a rough path down to a rock platform for jumping in at the surface. It is considered a rite of passage and very entertaining to watch people react to the ice cold water!

I have to say that one of the reasons Oregon is so beautiful is because all of the Native Oregonians, me included, keep it a secret from outsiders. That's why you can be the only person on the beach. I was born and raised here and I have to admit that you did a really good job of showing off our state. The state's coastal region produces significant tourism as well. The Oregon Coast Aquarium comprises 23 acres (9.3 ha) along Yaquina Bay in Newport, and was also home to Keiko the orca whale. It has been noted as one of the top ten aquariums in North America. Fort Clatsop in Warrenton features a replica of Lewis and Clark's encampment at the mouth of the Columbia River in 1805. The Sea Lion Caves in Florence are the largest system of sea caverns in the United States, and also attract many visitors.
In Southern Oregon, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, held in Ashland, is also a tourist draw, as is the Oregon Vortex and the Wolf Creek Inn State Heritage Site, a historic inn where Jack London wrote his 1913 novel Valley of the Moon.
