You've been helpful for me. I have a son and have had many health issues over his 6 years and I've always beaten myself up. You tell the truth and I loved how you "I was the perfect mom before I came a mom" in a previous video. It's true. Thanks for encouraging other moms. ❤ Much love and blessings.

God bless you. I feel ya. I have three children, one of whom has special needs, a father who needs my help, an aunt who occasionally needs my help, a husband I love taking care of, a part-time job, and church.... and with all that I have a lot of joint pain... especially this time of year. I always feel like I'm not doing enough because I'm always sore or tired. Isn't it great that God gave this world Kristina to encourage us?

Do it on a Dime sent me- I say the most vile, hateful things to myself. I not only would never say it to anyone else, if someone else said it, I would stand up for the person they were saying it to, and let them know what I think about bullies. I've been fighting this my whole life (I'm 47 FFS!)-oops-did it again. I've never thought to use the photo. What a powerful tool. Thank you!

Beautifully heart wrenching! I need to get a picture and put it on my desk. That’s when I tell myself I’m horrible, not creative, zero talent, messy slob who won’t amount to anything.
I would never dream of telling anyone those awful hateful words.
    Thank you for this 🙏🏻👏

Kristina, the World's-Most-Precious-Gift Kristina, for years and years, I never felt proud of anything I achieved or did, I constantly berated myself almost daily and was literally my worst critic.
I'm in my early twenties, and I've never felt more depressed, alone, and numb.
This video made me cry, it not only inspired but SHOWED me how I could love myself and eliminate these negative thoughts. This exercise is amazing! Absolutely revolutionary (as simple as it is). And hey! I'm 1994's sweetest, most adorable baby!

This made me cry, and the situation you speak about has for awhile now ... mother of 2 both girls 7 and 14 months a wonderful hubby whom I've loved for 10 yrs now ... a student and a fulltime mom/house wife .... I feel this everyday, shame, emptiness, loneliness and not enough ... I am never good enough, can never do enough ... this is me talking... I set my self up for failure more than I think anyone realizes ... I take on more everyday than I could ever accomplish at one time... and hate myself for letting me down, I talk horribly to myself inside ...
Example of over doing it ....
like having our daughter in between midterms and finals for my calculus and biology classes ... milk allergy at 4 weeks left me holding my poor little one the whole week I needed to study for finals ... I cried and eventually (not from Callisee or my oldest) I hit a massive postpartum depression that kicked my normal depression and anxiety to a level that felt like a war raging inside ... I bombed both of them... passed the classes but barely, was so upset I couldn't do it all ... So as I am in the middle of learning how to love myself to be a better mommy to our girls, and somehow trying all I can to handle the wounded & traumatized little girl inside ... after the loss of my mom to cancer 2 yrs ago ... I and my hubby are changing day by day for our girls, we are good parents but who couldn't be better right?! ... my mom ... Oh how I miss her ... she would be telling me ... "baby ... one day at a time that's all you can do" ... it's hard dealing with her loss ... we were so close and it was so fast ... I've learned 2 things since she left this earth to fly with angels like herself ....
    1st ...
even though she didn't leave on purpose, my heart still doesn't understand it ... it feels like abandonment, torture even though my mind knows this my heart doesn't ... So that's something I'm trying to work through too ...
2nd ... "It's not her death that's the hardest ... it's learning to live my life without her in it." ~ Callie
I know it's just a post ... but it really helps sharing ... it helps me feel not so alone ... thank you sweet girl, you have no idea how much this means to so many of us 💗

This is absolutely needed and amazing! The Lord put this very thought on my mind after a long fruitful season of counseling. About 6 months ago not having seen this I put my 7 year old picture up on my fridge in an effort to help me lose weight and say to myself “ would you feed her this?” . It actually helped a little but THIS covers many reasons for my negative self talk ! What a huge layer of healing this video will be to my own healing ❤️‍🩹 Thank you for pouring your life out for others to learn and heal from 🤗 Blessings sis !

I used to tell myself that I should have been a better father when my wife left me with four kids. I could have spent more time and worked less, I should have listened more, not felt so sorry for myself. That was nineteen years ago now they are grown with families of their own. Now they tell me that they wouldn't be who they are if it wasn't for me. ❤️🙏

I try to remember that I am someone's daughter and need to give a little slack to all children. On the other hand I also need to encourage all children to try until they fail (especially me). That failure is just a sign that you tried. Either you try again or try something else.

Tears. I say negative things to myself all the time. “Im ugly. I’m annoying. Nobody likes me. My kids deserved a better mother. Im a bad Mom to teenagers. I’m hard to love. Im hard to like.” Man, I really don’t like myself. Yet when I look at pics of myself as a little girl, I always feel a lot of emotion. I was so sweet, innocent. I had no idea the hard things I’d go through. It’s hard. I’d tell myself, “You will be okay! You’re going to make it! Choose a different college! God is with you always. Spend more time with Melissa because she’s not going to be here forever.”

Kristina I am under my husband's account, but my name is Amber. I want to tell you how much your videos, especially this one, have touched, inspired, positively motivated and influenced me... I have 6 children, the oldest being a 18 year old high school senior to the youngest being a 5 year old doing her first year in kindergarten. Lately, I have been torn and drowning myself in my own yuck... depression anxiety and an insane amount of self loathing. We recently had to pull our kids out of public school and I am homeschooling the 7th grader down to my baby.... between trying to be the perfect mom and comparing myself to other moms and especially wives, given certain issues throughout the marriage, I have hit rock bottom. I started diving deeply into the Bible with my kiddos in our morning basket and gaining a lot of faith and momentum there but still lacking something. I literally have shut everyone out due to not wanting to project all of my negativity on others and so alone I sit obsessively picking myself apart. Becoming an antisocial freak of nature lol I just had to share with you the way you have somehow reached something insiide of me, somehow I don't feel so alone, pathetic and hopeless. I love your truths and your inspiring stories. I hope to see s lot more bc I have decided to make you a part of my daily morning routine to help me stay focused and positive throughout my day. I just want to say thank you for bei ng a glimmer of hope in the dark tunnel I have found myself to be traveling through. Keep on keeping on... please.

This one made me cry. And when you pulled out the picture of the younger selves l couldn't respond the same way because that has always been the message. Not good enough, polite enough, thankful enough, why couldn't I be more like fill in the blank. Which is why I was always striving for perfection and never attaining it. And so with emotional bat in hand the inner tape continues to play for another segment of Mommy Fails. But God and reason is teaching me a new way.

Because as a little girl I learned to hate myself. and not think I am worth anything better in this world than the bad that happened to me as a child. that as an adult I somehow deserve nothing better than struggling I have always had. We learn this things from our childhood. (good or bad life we learn). It was a odd kind of freeing week, the last of the males in my family that abused me passed, it was an odd kind of release. my mom thinks I should be sad as the others in my family but she doesn't know the abuse that happened from diapers to 10years old. she cant or wont remember(I pray somehow the doctors are right that she is in pre-dementia so she doesn't know/remember) now maybe I can heal knowing they aren't around to hurt other family members. there are a handful of us girls that know the truth and we know and support each other. WE know and accept that we have to move on and become what they told us we couldn't. That small mean voice still haunts us but we try not to listen.
xoxoxo thank you Kristina for being a voice that most of us have lost and yearn to hear.
