When I see you upload, I grab a cup of tea and watch. Who knows if behind this painting there is a love story. I think it's quite possible judging by the look on his face. Such a nice study! You managed so well despite the colour variations in each photo and blurry image. And the painting of your mom is beautiful too! Your mom must have loved those tulips! Your brother eating eggs in the car - haha:D. That's something that my younger brother would do if he was 10 years younger;). Have a good day!
Oh I absolutely love this master study, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, it’s going to help me tremendously ❤ I can’t wait to get started. What a beautiful love story. You had me giggling over the small vase, your face was a picture 😂 I enjoy your videos so much. Hope your back is getting better, have you heard of block therapy, may be worth a little research. Can’t wait for the next video. Thanks for sharing your talent with us 🥰
I’m so glad you found it helpful! Thanks for the suggestion and have fun with your painting😊 Oh I haven’t heard of that I’ll definitely look into it, thank you 🙌
Hope Easter was relaxing. You have done well with this study of a Sargent painting. By the way, have you been to the Sargent exhibition at the Tate in London? I am going there in June. Really looking forward to seeing his paintings in real life. Looking very much forward to your next video. Keep on creating 😊
Thank you, hope you had a lovely Easter! I am so excited to go and see it! I am just waiting for my back to get a bit better before travelling to London. Hoping that I’ll be able to go in June too:)
I'm really surprised you haven't painted a BUNCH of Sargent studies. Your style and his seem to overlap quite a bit. Looks like you had no problem capturing that abstract-looking red background. You captured the guy, the hat, and the scene really well. I learned a lot about Sargent and that painting watching this. I was surprised he was linked with the dude in the hat and not with Madame X. The pic of your mum looks great where you guys put it between those windows. So you're set up for making prints in-house huh? Nice!! Way to go with the family dynamic, everybody pitching in and getting along, including the dogs being excited to see each other,...and of course, dogs are weird.
I spend a lot of time looking at his work but always felt too intimidated to copy it! Yes it was really interesting to read about. Madame X absolutely has that sensual energy but I guess we’ll never know truly know the details of his love life. I’m set up for taking and editing the photos and use a local Giclee print shop to print them😊 haha never fails to surprise me when dogs behave like… dogs 🫣
Had a few chuckles watching this 😊 Great seeing the process of how you translated your graphite sketch of the portrait into the oil painting, as well as the source of inspiration for the gorgeous bathroom painting you did. Thanks for sharing snippets of your family too - it adds a really nice touch to the vlog!
My Granny is very artistic, but she mainly writes now. And my Aunty (@kathrynbakerart on ig) is an amazing illustrator who now paints animal portraits. And my cousin does too! 😊
