Just a tip for any of you having trouble getting the bolt back in, even if the hammer is in the fire position as it should be, you may have to depress it a little farther using your finger or a screwdriver in order for it to go in all the way.
1st and last time I took it apart no one mentioned about safety or dropping the hammer. Love my Sub2000 but since I dropped the Hammer its useless! Could you Please create a video on what to do if you do pull trigger while dissembling, my next option is to throw it in the trash!
Correct solution for me as well to push the hammer back with the barrel folded back to get a long "soft" tool to put the necessary pressure on the hammer to get it to cocktail. Then still had to push it a bit to get the bolt assembly to move forward into position. This was my first field assembly.
That recoil spring came apart today as I was cleaning it. That spring is almost impossible to get back together. I spent 15 minutes looking for the spring and almost an hour getting the spring back together. A dental pick, lock wire, vise grips, and a vise helped.
My spring has too much tension like I literally almost lot an eye trying to hold the spring down nd put my stock on with the little screw that holds everything together im trying to figure how can u just use one finger or is it that im doing something wrong you made it look so easy btw my kel tec sub 2000 gen 2 is brand new only fired one time
When putting in your bolt head & bolt back into the tube push the hammer down with your finger & continue to push the bolt down till everything lines up. Then install your charging handle. Spent like 20 mins trying to figure this shit out 😂. Hammer had too much tension since it’s pretty new, (cleaned at 500 rounds)
Hey Chad from Keltec.. I have an older Sub9, the all metal grandaddy to the SUb-2000. The bolt assembly seems to go in the same way, however I think I made the mistake of not putting it into safe and now I can't get the bolt back into the Sub9 trigger assembly. I've tried various pokers and dowels to reset the trigger so I can get the bold past the trigger.. but no go. Local gunsmiths don't even know about the Sub-9 and don't want to touch it. How do I get some help with this thing?
It DOES NOT MATTER which end of the recoil spring goes into the bolt after the charging handle is placed in the bolt. When reassembling, you will find resistance after placing the charging handle into the bolt and trying to slide it forward a little before reinserting the recoil spring. This resistance is caused by the cocked trigger sliding under the bolt as the bolt is slid forward. If the trigger is accidentally fired while it was disassembled, here's a video on RESETTING THE TRIGGER. ruclips.net/video/2Mx-wN7l3DY/видео.html Hope this helps.
Okay, what do I do if the hammer fell while the bolt was out? I found it impossible to place the bolt back in with the hammer back or dropped. I'm kind of stuck.
How in *THE HELL* do you get the spring lined up with the depression in the folding latch? Mine is impossible to reassemble currently because that mf will not line up no matter what I do.
I think it would be worthwhile mentioning that particularly on new guns you have to apply some pressure to get the bolt past the hammer, even if everything is aligned and the hammer is cooked. Took me a bit of frustration to figure it out.

You are sooooo right about that. Thanks.
Thanks a bunch. Struggled to reassemble after first field strip without your tip.
Very helpful comment
Thank you! Couldn’t figure it out
This one comment saved me, thank you.
What if you dropped the hammer already? How do you fix that?
Love this gun. Great backpack gun for outdoorsman. Can also easily pack in my Yak.

same here.I was able to push hammer down with screw driver to get bolt passed
@@joeheckman3255 thank you for this! I'd dropped the hammer also, easy fix once I read what you did here

Can you lube the outside of the bcg? Sounds really rough when you put it back in
Понятно, доступно и по делу. Даже при отсутствии хороших знаний английского языка. Спасибо.

@@Solo76239 This ^. Hammer position during disassembly is unimportant, but it has to be down when you put the bolt back in.

what do you do if you drop the hammer?
I was able to push my hammer back down by reaching in and pushing it with my finger.
I cznt get the bolt assembly back in the gun. After 15 minutes pulled the trigger. re setting the hammer does nothing. this sub 2k. is un shot
Taylor Kutlass reach in where the hammer is and push it down while also sliding the bolt in
I did that. Needed to push the hammer down a bit to clear the bolt
@@marti9442 thank you for the tip!!! Tried to assemble three times before I saw your comment 🙏

I accidentally dropped the hammer and it now appears to be impossible to get the bolt assembly back in the gun. I'm exasperated... What should I do?
Use a long flathead screwdriver to push the hammer back down. A bit tricky but doable.
Thanks! Just what I needed.
Do you guys have a replacement or install video on the feed ramp?
if you get an answer on that one, please share...i can see my PLASTIC feed ramp wearing out
A velociraptor with an RPG7 riding a great white shark. I am not even a little bit surprised.
How do you know if the hammer is down/dropped?
Bold tip.......wear safety glasses 😂almost lost my eye a minute ago, that spring is incredibly difficult
just helped a guy with assembly. that's a different monster, almost done

I had the same thing happen. Working on a fix now.
I managed to do it with an 8mm allen key. 3/8 might work or one step smaller.
Holy crap. I too had the same problem with hammer. No way I could get it down with finger. Finally used a section of gun cleaning rod. All good now.
I used a hard plastic gun scrub brush - other end from brush had a flat head (also plastic) which worked after a dozen tries.
Does the recoil spring direction matter at all?
Did you ever find out I need to know
@@Chapodadon It doesn't, its identical on both ends
Chad is so cool! please make more in G19.... thanks

Have the m&p variants shipped yet? I've been wanting one since before they were announced.
How do I get it on if hammer is down
Fold in half, using a big flathead screwdriver push hammer down and using the op handle push it home.
Intense whip at the end!

Going through that now.
Me too
Hey, KT, make PMR30-alike in 7.62x25!
Your P15 is a complete fiasco!
you fail to address the orientation of
the charging handle. it is notched.
How should you lube it bro? It can't stay dry? You skipped a step!!! DO A LUBRICATION VIDEO!!!
Funny ending...
Chad wtf man. You are doing all the manipilations away from the camera. Nobody can see what you are doing.
