I agree with your comments on requiring less recovery running on the treadmill. I love the treadmill even though most people think it's the most boring thing ever. I use a 1% incline most of the time if I'm doing a targeted pace workout, because otherwise I can run a pace that is not representative of my actual outdoor fitness.
i got a question, when im using gps on my garmin, i know what a 9 or 8 min pace feels like, but when i go on tredmill, ill run at 10 min or 11 min pace and its feels like im running a 8 min mile pace and my heart rate is high like im tempoing, idk its weird, i run faster and its easer outside then on a tredmill
@@AlyssaAllDayVlogs But the monitor ABOVE the treadmill DOES! Duhhhhhh 🤪 You know the thing with buttons on it......ohhh maybe you never used one and/or never even seen one 🤪
@@AlyssaAllDayVlogs I do have a Garmin......duhh....doesn't really trust it, it's not precise, but it's a nice toy :) I also hate treadmill it's basically cheating! The ground moves for you, you just have to lift your feet....no point really....very few people benefits from long term treadmill use! Do your research you will see! At any rate everybody does whatever they want....but if you challenge me on Garmin or treadmill trust me I know more on these topics than you, and also 100% sure much better runner than you! DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
Can you totally use treadmill for your marathon preparation? The reason I'm asking, with kids at home, I only have time to run at nite and my hubby doesn't allow me to go outside at nite (caring hubby😊) therefore I can only run on treadmill. Thank you
I used to call the treadmill, the dreadmill as i did not want to run on those machines. Dues to adverse weather i ended up having to do two loooooong runs and ended up loving the machines in the gym.....watched a lot of TV shows in Gym :-)
Garmin not accurate on the treadmill? Hilarious. My Garmin 235 is spot on, at least it matches the data screens on all three treadmills I have used in the last year. It is so accurate, in fact, that I actually wonder how they do it - how do they measure my cadence, arm swing or whatever, and get so close? I think it helps that I entered accurate data on my stride length, etc. Having said that, when I wish, hope, pray and bullshit myself to a better performance when I haven't trained, eaten, or slept in a way that justifies that better performance, my Garmin 235 totally fails.

All you need is a foot pod on your shoe and you’re good. I’ve tested my foot pod on a track and it’s very accurate.
In my experience garmin watches (i use the garmin forerunner 230) are awful when it comes to treadmill running.
and i use the tredmill pace range also

Jesse Davis treadmills mess with your natural stride. It’s an unnatural way to run. Just run outside.
Why the hell someone would need Garmin when they have the monitor front of their face, duuuuuhhhhh!!!!!!!!
Shandy Torok the treadmill doesn’t save your data. Duhhhhhh 🤪

Shandy Torok maybe you’ve never seen a garmin to understand why people use them. They aggregate data over time. A treadmill does not. Duh.

yea when i run ouside im a min faster then on tredmill with my garmin, and i feel like im running barder on the tredmill lol, it sucks
I feel your pain. Always seem to run at a faster pace on the treadmill but my distances are always shorter........

You definitely can. I would recommend 1 run per week outside since you use different muscles outside and ultimately that's where the race will be.
