6 Ways to Delete or Format a Write Protected USB

Disclaimer: please make backups of any information deemed important. I am providing this in good faith, hoping you can format your write protected USB. Unfortunately sometimes it is not possible to easily fix the problem. This video is intended for conventional USBs, not necessarily microSDs or others

So many thanks for the great video. My USB was not working at all, windows would appear the message to format the disk as soon as I plugged it in, and could not format it in any way.
I did all I could but none worked. The only useful method was using the software you mentioned, formatting, and then re-formatting using windows. It fixed the problem and now the Flash Disk works properly.

So these usb drives just "write protect" themselves aye? I tried 1-4 no bueno; im assuming 5 and 6 wont work either. I suppose usb drives are not a safe place to store data if the useability changes from just sitting. Not getting this whole write protection thing. I own it. I didnt write protect it but now its protected from me? Gotta love it...

I was not actually sure if that solution would ever work if the other methods failed (I had a theory it could be a solution but have never tried it before, hence why I put it as an 'extra solution' rather than a main one). I thought already the USB stick is dead ... write lock and no option to change it ... solution 6 and a small program formated the disk and its free to write agan ...thank You man!!!

Your solution 6 helped me but with a little modification:
- Click on your USB (when running the program) just as in the video, but then copy your "Chip Part-Number"*.
- Search for results on your browser with your "Chip Part-Number" + the word "format".
- Now you should find some results/tutorials/Company production help.
I tried to remove my USB drive's write-protection for hours without success, but with the info above, i got my drive working.
* If your "Chip Part-Number" has a "-" (hyphen), don't use the numbers on that hyphen's right side, just use the numbers on that hyphen's left side.
