Good to know all this. My SD cards were giving me the write protected message and I should have followed your methods. I ended up purchasing an online system repair program which corrected all the corruption in my computer including the drive systems. It cured a lot of other problems my PC was plagued with too such as bad malwares. Anyway, I was able to format and load my SD cards again.
@@davewallace1209 It was Advanced System Repair. I was kind of spooked in that they can get info of your passwords and website visit history. After fixing my PC, I cancelled my subscription.

I have a flock of chips that have become write protected with my main computer. Do the methods unwrite protect the system (that drive or any sd card) or just that chip? I ask this because the same 'write protected' cards are not write protected in another computer.

I’m having the exact same problem, this is my second usb to do this. I use to laptops, as soon as I tried using it on my other laptop it started giving me problems.. went months without using my first usb and bought another one but here we are once more sigh!

Very confusing trying to follow tutorial, BUT after watching over and over and over, I did fix the problem.
Turns out, it was just dusty in the SD card slot, on my computer. Blew into the slot hole. Dust flew out. & it worked! Thank you

It can't be possible. We request you to retry each method one by one. Before that run a chkdsk on your device.
