Ha, your son killed it. Nice work as always.
Thanks man! Blake did do an awesome job!
First thing...Blake, very impressed with your speaking skills, bro! 👊
Second thing....Awesome video again, Tyler! Glad to see you got your dad to try it and that he had fun with the headset, too. 😊
Love y'all tried it in public. 😅 Let people judge. 😂 I'm impressed with it because of this wonderful review. Viewing Netflix and RUclips in a virtual world caught my attention. Love features like that, but still really not crazy about gaming. Although, I do want to play that FNaF Help Wanted game, just because I'm a huge fan of the series. Anyways....great job again, Blake and can't wait to see the next video, guys.
Thanks Mauro! Dude we have played through most of the FNAF VR game on our Vive. It is soooo scary though no joke. The animatronics are ginormous.
@@GenerationGapGaming Haha...Nice! I saw that with a couple of youtubers I watch. It's gonna be the one reason I get a VR set soon. Maybe I'll actually pass night 6 on part 1 and night 7 on part 2. 😅
I've been desperate to get a VR set of my own since Oculus Rift came out but I've been leery about price and convenience. It looks like Today, with the Oculus Quest, I'm finally comfortable enough to take that first big step into the new age of gaming. Thank you 3G, you've satisfied my concerns and quenched my fears.
Glad we were able to help Chris!
I have tried to use an oculus rift with a laptop and it wouldn't work, so as soon as I saw the oculus quest I knew I had to get it.
@@samdedmon8674 So I have an Oculus Quest now. I gotta say, as a path into VR it's pretty much perfect. The only real complaint I have is the library of games is still kinda scarce, with some features stripped out of the Quest version of games (Pokerstars VR, for example, only has standard cash games available to Quest players where Rift players can access Tournaments, Sit&Gos, etc.)
I know it's still early so I'm not having any buyers remorse but I hope the library gets bolstered with haste.
Chris Waegelein I really do too!
Dude! I just got around to seeing this video because I wasn't flipping notified about it! But awesome video and thanks for rocking my shirt! That's so dope!
I already had this on my list to pick up, you only confirmed my suspicions and increased my enthusiasm. Blake, awesome presentation, young man. Awesome presence.
Thank you so much. I was thinking about getting one but wasn't sure until I saw your video
You're welcome Chris. Hope we gave you some helpful info.
Have had an Oculus Go for a couple years now. Just got a Quest 2 for my birthday a couple of weeks ago and I am in awe. 👍
Wow, this was a great review! Blake did a phenomenal job too! I like how this headset is wireless. I got the PSVR at a pawnshop without the extension cord, which made it hard to play. This is a very convenient VR headset. You have me sold!
Yeah Michael wireless and no PC for the Quest is a game changer. Definitely get a lot for your money with this one. Thanks for the great comment man.
Ps tell your son he did fantastic on his voice over! Nice work Blake!
I'll tell him man. Thanks so much!
If I ever branch out to VR I'll definitely keep this in mind! Blake did a great job! Hoping to see more of this!
Thanks Joey! I'll definitely tell Blake your words of support. I'm trying to get him involved in the comment section too lol.
Glad I watched this video! Haven't tried VR yet but now I know which one to get.
We're glad you watched too Anthony! Thanks!!!
Great video. Thanks for the info. I love the collaboration with your son. He is a natural in front of the camera. And is unbelievably intelligent.
Hey Tyler and Blake! You guys are doing great, man! I'm also from WV (Buckhannon to be exact!) Just wanted to let you guys know I love your content. Tyler, we played MANY of the same games growing up, and I think it's cool to see not two but THREE GENERATIONS playing together. Doesn't happen very often these days. "LETS GOOOOOO, MOUNTAINEERS" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome man! Buckhannon is a nice place. I actually played baseball my freshman year of college near there at AB in Philippi back around 2000.
I got sick after playing this and also that was my first EVER time playing VR and now VR is my favorite type to play video games.
*That NES Addict shirt tho*
It's such an awesome design. Jay's shirts are great. Did you spot my NES pursuit shirt too??
Pixel Game Squad dude that hyped me up so much!
As always, great video!
Thanks my man!
Thx u for the tips I will buy one and sub
Shout out to Jay and the tee! Glad to see how you guys support each other!
Awesome and thorough video. I have a five year old niece who would be blown away by this when she gets a little older!
I love to see the interaction of your entire family!
Thanks so much man! I love that NES Addict shirt for sure. I am glad to see Blake back in a video too.
7th AngelAD 🙌
Thank you, GenerationGapGaming, most appreciated review(s) of these VR headsets.
Thank you, Blake sir at G3 for the spec break down its appreciated.
If only Overwatch: Dva would be understandable the first to play, the Oculus Quest would change the dynamic of the game for sure.
You're welcome Spider. Blake did a great job for sure.
Lately I’ve been researching the Oculus Quest and all I’ve heard was great things! And now I have locked my next gaming device to be the Quest and nothing else!
I’ve had mine for just a week, and it’s blowing my mind!!
I’m hoping for more mainstream games in the near future as it becomes more popular! Great video!
Thanks man. I have been surprised by the Quest in so many ways. The fact it is Oculus and owned by Facebook definitely means they have the financial backing to possibly support licensed and mainstream games.
Shopping cart scene had me rolling!!!
Lol thanks Ed! Glad you enjoyed it. We got some weird looks in the store 😂
I really want this but I don't know if I will get it for Christmas because it's $400 and my budget is probably $200. Thanks for this great video anyways though!!! Keep up the great work, I am definitely subscribing.
Thanks so much Colton. Hope you can get one this Christmas. Welcome to G3!
Dang, I didnt even know this existed. Thanks for the heads up on this
Nice work fellas! Man, video gaming has came a long way over the years.
Dude I completely agree. I am shocked how VR has evolved over the past few years. Thanks Slappy!
Just subscribed , cracking channel you have here ,shocked there's only 31k subs, keep up the good work, from Ireland.
Thanks so much and it's great to meet you. Welcome to G3!
Reason 3 is nearly enough for me. I'm seriously looking into this.\
Plus, that shopping cart scene killed me! Hilarious!
The shopping cart scene was very embarrassing to do. I even checked to see if any of my friends were around😂 - Blake
It's true he made sure his friends weren't around lol. Michael is really is a legit VR headset. Let me know if you end up getting one.
@@GenerationGapGaming Well, you still did it for our entertainment and I thank you!
@@GenerationGapGaming I will do that. Thank you again for your videos.

Thanks for uploading this video, now I know which VR headset to get!
Hey man! Great to hear from you again. We definitely fully endorse the Quest.
GenerationGapGaming Is the oculus quest compatible with Steam?
As far as I know, at this time it only supports the Oculus store. Not Steam.
You and your son did a great job making this video you earn a sub 🙂😀
Thanks so much man! Great to meet you and welcome to G3!
Great review! I love mine
You’re a good RUclipsr. But more importantly, you’re a great father.
Well dam, while I can't afford it right now that price point for this headset combined with your guys recommendations is enough for me to put this on my list. Great video guys!
It really is a great value man. Great to hear from ya dude!
@@GenerationGapGaming you too man!
Wow those reasons are great you have me sold. If I buy one, will you push me around in a shopping cart too please! Awesome work Blake, good to see you back on the channel.
Of course I'll push you in a cart....right into traffic !!!! #soviolent
@@GenerationGapGaming think the oculus quest cant get any better.... reason 11 hold my beer!
Great video, guys! I’ve honestly never had any interest in VR but I think my interest is now officially piqued!
Awesome Matt! If you ever decide to step into VR, I think this is the way to go.
This channel deserves more that 40k subs
We've already invested in PSVR but this does look like a good alternative! Awesome job as always y'all, and good to see Blake in a video again! 🙌🏻
-Ratter Tatter
Thanks Ratter. And you would be happy to know that Moss is available on the Quest!
@@GenerationGapGaming what??? That's awesome!!!
I agree with everything in this video besides the recording in headset thing. It’s really hard to get audio with the gameplay and if you want audio with it then you need to buy like 5 adapters, so I was wondering if you guys have a fix to it
I want an occlus strictly for the app bigscreen, it looks really sweet to watch movies in a virtual space with your friends. Wish it was on psvr
Cool video dudes thumbs up👍
Thanks so much man! Glad you enjoyed it.
Great video. The company better send you an additional unit for this one!! ;) you deserve it for this love letter. Rock on boys! Edit: Blake, you do one badass voiceover. You need to get into radio or at least doing voice overs for commercials and stuff. You sound like a pro my man!!
We would take another Quest for sure lol. Thanks Reagan. Blake did a great job and I know I would have been too nervous to do this at his age.

Hi , thank you for the video
I want to buy a Oculus quest but my brother thinks I should wait for the next gen console VR and I really want to take advantage of snatching one on black Friday , can you help me out what I should do ?
Very interesting. I'm guessing the games are downloadable? These are out of my price range, even at $399, however, if there is any way to play Skyrim in this, I'd definitely save up.
That dinosaur game looks cool. I like the fact that you don't need to buy other periphals for it and you map out the playing area. That's pretty awesome.
Another great video guys, thumbs up. You got my interest on the VR from a no to a probable. 😎
Yeah you download the games from the Oculus store in the headset. Very easy to setup. At least we have you considering VR now Mark lol.
Great video.
Thanks so much!
Did I get the right Timestamp (1min10sec) for the great Mull!!!? It’s on the black shelf between Dragon’s Lair and Rygar. My last comment was deleted so I assume there is an auto delete since I put the timestamp time on the post. Anyways I’ve never considered VR due to migraine headaches but I may power through the pain after watching this. Awesome review video, high 5s to both of you.
Guess it wasn’t right😭
Mullet Boy at 2:54 in the battletoads poster!
I posted this first (as in first comment too) but my comment is gone!! I edited the time and then it was gone... thwn i posted again, and gone again!
Yes sir! Shout-out next video!
hey can you ask your son if during gameplay if he saw the lenses like you do in phone vr or is it like the htc vive where it is all immersive and does the built in sound touch your ears or no and is it easy to where a headset
I love your posters
Thanks Vinny! You talking our movie or gaming posters???
Yes I am
Iceland again wall of the time when I was a kid I know how to get the most overpowered weapon it's in the second castle I think it's like lion claws I think it's called lying close man they are so overpowered you take down any enemy
Way to go blake....welcome to hosting....family friendly is gonna reel in the subs. Now how bout some switch lite
Thomas we are intrigued by the Switch Lite as well. You gonna get one?
@@GenerationGapGaming preordered.....sept 20
Can you preorder already??? Where?
@@GenerationGapGaming ebay and amazon
Well, a year has gone by since you made this video and I'm watching it for the first time. I'm curious to see how your opinion has changed based on two factors. First, if you have purchased an Oculus Quest 2 or not, and how you feel it compares to the Quest 1 of you have. Second, whether you still think this headset is worth buying considering you're now required to lock your Facebook account into sync with it, thereby putting more of your personal data in the hands of Facebook. I'd love to see a video about that soon if possible. Thank you! FYI, I own both headsets and feel like the upgrade to Quest 2 was worth the money spent, and personally am not bothered by the Facebook requirement, as I have nothing to hide. but I understand that not everyone feels that way and that requirement is turning off a lot of people...
Yeah man we have the Quest 2 as well. I've only played a handful of times and I definitely can tell the increase in resolution and the headset is a bit more comfy. I don't get too bothered by the Facebook stuff either. I think we would all be a little naive to think that our information isn't shared in other ways than just facebook in this day and time so I agree with you than the Facebook connection isn't a big deal to me.
Hey Blake, great job on the intro... you sound a little more sophisticated than your old man. Sorry Tyler I had to. You definitely peaked my interest, however, I'm currently paying for college. I'm taking a computer system technician course and it is not cheap. After all is said and done I could have bought new car instead. The good thing is, I'm actually a really smart guy. So once I'm done I want to get into game design and maybe even game hardware design. I've been going to school for 3 years now (I'm 35) and I have 2 to go. So Tyler you're right, I truly am a complete smartass. Take care gentleman. Stuart out.
Lol you crack me up dude. Blake definitely has a more sophisticated accent than his dad. Stuart that is awesome about your computer and design education. That is the smart move for the future in my opinion. I feel Blake is gonna take the same path. I would love to learn how to code and create. Best of luck on your last couple years of school man.
Thanks man.
Yee haw
I am interested but I never played in VR never in my whole life
My comment keeps disappearing, 2min54 MUllBoyy.. anyway, so funny u posted this, i qss just looking at which awesome VR thing to buy and this video really helps, thank you.... i take your word seriously cuz ur from the same era of gaming as i am..
So if u say this one is good, then this will be the one i probably focus on and eventually buy!
Dude I saw your original comment and then YT automatically deleted it. I happens sometimes when people just say mullet boy and a time stamp. I think the algorithm may think it's spam or something. I would never delete you comments man.
@@GenerationGapGaming yeah that happened to me before.... so weird! As long as i "win the mullet boy challenge (official name)" its fine hahaha
@@GenerationGapGaming but yeah, really, so coinkydink-y that u made this video..on tuesday i was looking into this stuff, cuz i have the whats it called, not VR but augmented reality i think, Jedi Challenges thing and i love it (mostly because i get to "BE" a jedi and use a light saber lol), so i wanted to take the next step and go full on VR...
You and Soapy did it at basically the same time so I will give you both shoutouts next vid!
@@GenerationGapGaming wellllll if you wanna get technical, i checked and i was the ONLY comment lol...BUT, im not a doucheNozzle, i dont mind AT ALL getting the dual shout out..it'll be cool, the first TIE in THE MULLET BOY CHALLENGE history.... and im sure it wont be the last!
All of these years I still know how to get it
If you got the Xbox one I can't remember if you got one Castlevania symphony of the night is for free
XBox Gold FTW!
I have an Xbox one but not sure about the Symphony of the Night offer Nate
@@GenerationGapGaming It's the free game of the month for XBOX Live Gold members. :-) Download it ASAP!
How’d I miss this one?
Your son favors you bro 💯👊
Thanks man. He looks like me every now and then lol.
@@GenerationGapGaming you're welcome
I would like to know how well it would work for someone in a wheelchair like me. I have to use my hands on my wheelchair so no use of game controllers for me??
Not sure I get you here but you’re obviously not going to be wheeling about as you play. Most games don’t require you to actually spin around. Most of the movements will happen because of the controllers. I hope that helps you!
Josh you bring up a very good point. I know the Vive has accessibilty options for wheelchair gameplay, but I'm not seeing specific options listed for the Oculus based headsets. I can send an email to Oculus if you like and see?
@@GenerationGapGaming thank you and that would be interesting. I only have used Google cardboard to try vr since it's passive and no joysticks.
the quest is a mistake due to when it crashes you have to wait until it ran out of charge plus you cant see everything as a pc vr on vrchat
Do you think it’s worth the extra 100 for the 128gb or is 64gb enough?
It's according to what you are using it for. For me I think the extra 100 was worth it because I need the extra space to record game capture footage on the headset for videos and such. But if you are only using it for play, I feel the 64 gb is reasonable. Hope this helps.
@@GenerationGapGaming that does help, thanks for the reply! Awesome channel man!
I wish my kid spoke like this...☹
I wish my dad liked VR...
hi
Have you tried VRChat?!?! I heard that is really good !
1 question how does it work with people who wear eyeglasses?
Great question Randy. There is a special spacer device included with the headset to support people who wear glasses. We should have mentioned that actually lol. Glad you asked.
... I GOT A OCULUS QUEST btw my dad was going to buy me a oculus go
Just wanted to let you know I know it's not about the video
Blake, as smart as you are, try out vrchat. Or don’t. Your dad might condone it...
"impressive physics of the oculus quest" What does the hardware have to do with the physics to do with the hardware??? it has nothing to do with the headset like look up all the facts. and thats like a basic fact. Do you think the physics is difrent in switch, pc, xbox and playstaion in the same game? like what.
