This brand has been on my radar for a long time. I tried one of their moisturizers years ago and loved it. I also have mild SH but dry skin. I'm going to check out the lytic lotion best suited for dryer skin 😁
I have sebaceous hyperplasia all over my face. Plastic surgeon did the needle ablation. Super expensive $1200 and got 20% if issue. Drunk Elephant BHA/AHA pink topped formula works great. My new derm prescribed an oral medication to help dry up the over active oil glands and after 6 weeks worked beautifully!! This drug worked. So does accutane I hear.
Ive been to 4 derm. and a plastic surgeon. Only the last derm. actually could tell me what i had, sh. she has attempted twice so far to get rid of it with no success. 1st time cautery, 2nd time lasor and cautery. Came back. I just cant understand why these are so hard to get rid of. Seems like a small enough skin issue to fix.
Melanie, do you still use it? I tried a sample a couple of times but didn't like it. I should have given it a chance. It does contain emulsifying wax, rose oil and citrus oil which can irritate or clog the skin. I felt I slightly tingling after I put it in and it looked oilier than the BHA 9 so I simply stopped using it. I will probably add it again just to give a chance. Use the BHA 9 every other night and the Lytix every other night instead of the BHA 4 from Paula's Choice.
Oh I LOVED the Lytic Sport TX. Worked great for me. I finished the whole container. Have not repurchased because I am trying to finish up some backup stock but I would absolutely buy this again. I really felt like it was effective.
I didnt want to pay the price for the PC BHA9 so I purchased a 10% salicylic acid peel on Amazon and it has dissolved the bumps after a few weeks. This product only has the salicylic acid and propolene glycol as a presevative. I think I will order the 20% peel next time. There really is no reason to spend a lot of money.
I like the lytic tx but it wasn't earth shattering for me with the bumps, but does help with my acne. It sounds scary but I use the DE framboos night serum and retin A .05%, and a little of the bha 9 on mine. They are all but almost completely gone in less than a month. I think your skin is tough as nails and could handle the retin A...I don't use it every night but it's made such a difference in my skin! Love your videos Miss Melanie!!
I've been using over-the-counter retin-A (differin gel) on mine for the past four weeks or so and several are gone entirely and others are much reduced. Retinol and bha helped a little but not nearly as much. They're great for the rest of my face though.
I ordered a 10% salicylic acid peel on Amazon and dot it on the bumps and they have disolved. The peel solution was about $20.00 for 1 oz and will last forever.
I was viewing Brianna Stanko's latest video regarding SH. She is using the Epionce in the am, and a product Pel Basics Redness and Blemish Control in the pm. Are you familiar with this cream?
I watched a vid that said its caused by candida in the body. Idk.. ive had this sh on my forhead for years and it drives me nuts. I dont think anything works.
I had two sebaceous hyperplasia "zapped" at my dermatologist and they came back. :( She said most of the time they will come back. I wonder if using oils on my face caused them, I never had them before.
mirageyorkies I’ve never used any type of oils in my face (I have very dry skin) just regular moisturizers and I think I might have SH under my eyes. I started getting them when I became pregnant with my 2nd child. There getting worse. People think I’m always sweating under my eyes. It’s so annoying and I cannot find a Dermotologist in my area that will get rid of them.
Would you recommend this for under the eyes? I have very dry sensitive skin. I’m not sure if I have SH under my eyes. I’ve seen 2 Dermotologist and there not sure what it is & couldn’t help me. But under my eyes I have this flat shinny dots. Lots of them. People think I’m always sweating under my eyes but I’m not.
Do you have milia under your eyes? Your Derm could help remove those. I am not sure I would use this closely under my eyes but I have heard people use an aha type product on a qtip in that area very carefully.
MrKongsMom Dermotologist ruled out milia & cancer they’re not sure what it is. There very flat and you cannot feel then when you touch them. It looks like I’m sweating all the time but I am not sweating at all
Very informative video. I have milia on occasion, is that the same thing? I've been making you tube videos as well, I'm a newbie. If you'd like to check my channel out I'd be flattered!! XO, Dawn🌸
Thank you for the excellent review Melanie! You're quite the skin expert. :)

What is the drug? The only drug I ever heard of to treat this is Accutane. The problem is once you stop, they come back.

Nunya Bizzz been there!!!! I hate them!!!! People tell me I'm sweating because they think they're sweat drops!

Ohhhhh I might try your technique and see how that goes for me! I don't have retin A but I do have the 1% retinol booster from PC. I will update you!

I do actually have it ;) I am testing it out now. I heard about it on some natural skincare blogs I was reading.
I am interested to hear your take on it. My jar should arrive this week. I'm excited to give it a try.....

How do you treat Candida?

Ugh. That sucks. I am not sure if it would be the oils. But I will research that and see. I hope not.

@@MrKongsMom i think i was suggested the tx sport for milia.. is that right?
@@davidgalban1235 It could certainly help to prevent them. I have always had to have milia removed by my derm.

Milia are not really the same as sebaceous hyperplasia, but this may help. It's worth a try :)
