Could you just make a whole video of how bad smoking is for skin and health please. It’s very hard to quit, but I listen you for every thing else Dr Dray!
Janet Rose I knew a couple of ladies at work who smoked/vaped. Well one coworker ended in the hospital w a blood clot on her leg and almost died. I constantly would hear them huffing and puffing for air even just walking. And the other one massive wrinkles especially around her mouth. Substitute a bad habit with a good habit. Thank you so much for your honesty, and for actually caring for my hard earned peanuts! I watch other dermatologists on RUclips, one especially, whose office is in NYC. She was pretty good in the beginning, but I noticed lately, that’s she’s more interested in promoting her own products rather than helping those of us who just can’t afford her brand!!! Again thank YOU! 👍🙂
Dr. Dray I can't thank you enough for this advice! I came SO close to taking the Crepe Erase plunge and now I'm just gonna save my money and go grab me some Eucerin! 💗💗
I was going to do it, too. I read the ingredients, though and decided not to buy it. Just didn't see much in the way of active ingredients that have been proven to work.
I was beginning to see my skin going in that direction. I noticed on my chest and since I started following Dr. Dray, I have seen remarkable difference. I no longer tiwel off my skin after shower or washing my face. I think just stop toweling and using the right moisturizer has helped in a short amount on time. I can't thank heat enough!!! I small using sunscreen daily, properly moisturizing and will never stop.
I will try your recommendation for Eucerin body repair. My arms and legs could use this cream. You are wonderful to give out this important information. Thank you Dr. Dray.
I love this doctor. She give us so much knowledge about skin which for me it's the single most important thing we need to take care of our skin Second, she teaches us us that we dont need to spend lots of money to get a beautiful skin. Thank you so much. I love you.
I really appreciate how practical your advice is. You are not encouraging us to go buy a slew of pricey products and that is why I watch all of your videos and value you your advice. Thank you!
I think you are smart and kind and obviously care deeply for people. Or you wouldn’t take the abuse of this industry and continue to put great information out there for us. Your inside beauty since through to the outside. Love yourself first don’t give it all away.
I only buy what Dr. Dray “prescribes”. Cerave has saved my skin and my bank account. As an asthmatic, mostly controlled but needing several Medrol dose packs each year, I never knew prednisone added to the crepey skin that I cycle through. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.❤️
Fruit which is fructose has the same effect on the skin as sugar which is sucrose. Berries are lower in fructose and can help balance the glycemic index in the body. Berries contain antioxidants which are good for the skin.
So grateful I found your channel, saving me money on expensive creams and lotions and helping me find better and affordable options that I will consistently wear, thank you!!!
Excellent. Informative video. Lots of information I didn't know and I am a product junkie. Quite honestly, I thought "what does this 20 year old know about crepey skin?". I try to stay on top of the latest ingredients and especially all natural ones. She gave information I hadn't heard anywhere else. I am eager to watch the rest of her videos! Thank you Dr Dray!!
I’m shocked you didn’t mention lack of hormones in causing crepeypness cause I feel since I cut back on my HRT that my skin has a bit of crepeypness but using a dab of Vaseline has helped with it’s appearance by 98%.
No no no please don’t use Vaseline, its petroleum based 😣 blocks water and there is no benefit to it. Use natural oils after the shower (when you’re at your most moist) like argan oil, avocado, almond, grape seed oil, Shea butter (viva natural makes an organic creamy one that’s divine), jojoba, or a combination of all of those. You’ll get various benefits from these oils, it will seal your moisture since oil doesn’t go as deep as oil in the skin, and if you want less deep moisture but still great moisture then just use Shea on dryers parts of th body or only in the winter.
@@geewiz8253 I didn’t mean to use Vaseline as a moisturizer, that is a big no no but what I do is I barely put it on my finger and just barely dab the area that is crepey on my cheeks. It really does take the crepeypness away.
I use the Eucerin pH5 Shower Oil and I swear my skin is softer than ever. I cannot use normal shower gels anymore as they all leave my skin itchy and dry. It all starts with a mild cleanser and you won't need heavy moisturizers.
Alpha body lotion was a life changer for me, I had bad skin on my legs, crepey & super dry. After using Alpha for a year the skin on my body/legs has done a 180, my skin looks great now.

At 60, the majority of skin laxity can be contributed to a loss of estrogen. Estrogen is a precursor to elastin and collagen production in our skin. UV damage can contribute to laxity in the skin. If you are comfortable with HRT, for its many benefits, perhaps seek the advice of a qualified doctor.

Will I see a benefit since the derivative is different or will it be the same since they are both from vitamin A? Hopefully my question makes sense.

Dr. Dray, Can you please offer a few instructions on application of vitamin A and/or retinol products to body? I want to address legs (thighs) and abdomen, crepey skin. Do you suggest exfoliating first in the shower? Retinol before or after moisturizer? Love your videos, thank you!!!
Hi Dr Dray! I am confused about adapalene. You have said in your past vlogs that adapalene lacks data about its anti aging benefits. Do they have sufficient study about it now? And can Eucerin Lotion be used on the face?
Most fruits have too much sugar in the form of fructose to be healthy. Fructose has unique drawbacks. Fruits have been modified to be big and sweet. Vegetables offer more nutrients with less sugar.

As far as wrinkles on the forehead & crows feet I get Botox for that. But the crepey skin is the worst!! Omg
Thanks Dr. Dray, as a 50 something I've taken your recommendations for products; specifically Eucerin advanced repair lotion and Neutrogena rapid wrinkle repair. Much appreciated!
How did the products
work, for you?
@@yolandahoward1099 Ugh- I wish I could give you a good answer. I'm hit and miss with this stuff...mostly miss. And I should give them a deliberate try...was just looking at my increasingly crepey arms! : (
I bought eucerin upon your suggestion and I am so happy with just eucerin. In less than 2 weeks I could see a difference on my arms and legs with my crepey skin. I also have eye bags which are very distressing to me for which I have used many things to no avail. I also have been using eucerin on my face and under my eyes with gentle massage and it has made a difference. Thank you so much for your videos they are all very helpful.
I brought eucerin too, I’m hoping it helps reduce the crepeyness near my thighs .
Hi Brenda, I have been using the eye treatment of brand names and I wake up with more eye bags bec,I think the eye cream irritated my eyes. Could you pls tell me how much improvement you have seen with using Eucerin on your eye bags?
Thank you.
Brenda, I’m reading your comment that Eucerin is helping your crepey skin is gone. Do you still have that opinion? Eucerin has numerous different lotions and creams. Which are you using? Thanks. Terry
As always sensible professional advice and love your product choices that don't break the bank!!

Crepe erase is garbage and it smells
Made it worse.
Dray.
I love Eucerin and the one she shows in the video is awesome...and not pricey, either. My husband's dermatologist always told him to use it.
I love this doctor. She give us so much knowledge about skin which for me it's the single most important thing we need to take care of our skin
Second, she teaches us us that we dont need to spend lots of money to get a beautiful skin.
I lost 100 pounds! My skin has somewhat improved when I improved my hydration and started taking alpha lipoic acid.
I LOVE YOU Dr. DRAY!! Keep doing what you do!! Your simple skin care routine is GOLD!!!
My mum is a long term user of prednisone. It wreaks havoc with her skin.

Does it not bother you that create tests their products in bunnies??

I'm asthmatic as well but I take only the formeterol and Budesonid inhalers. Does this also cause crepey skin?
Dr. Dray, I would like to give you my heart felt thank you!!! It’s so wonderful to listen to a doctor who is honest!!! You are a rare gem!!!!
I have been using the Alpha Care 12% AHA body lotion and I love it. I can’t believe how inexpensive and effective it is.
You are helping so many people!!!!! I absolutely love your advice and thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us!
I didn't realize she was a Dr until she started giving such excellent information. Seriously, I'm in my 50s and have been using beauty creams since I was 16. I try to stay on top of the latest ingredients and especially all natural ones. She gave information I hadn't heard anywhere else. I am eager to watch the rest of her videos! Thank you Dr Dray!!
Thanks YOU Dr. Dray for all your expert advice . Which product will be safe to apply on neck area?
Well I'll just keep using my Eucerin thank you dr. Dray
Love the sunscreen you are wearing here. Your skin looks fantastic!
Thank you for your suggestion. I have the Eucerin Advanced Repair lotion for my legs. Didn't think to use it on my crepey thumbs! I will now :)
I’m shocked you didn’t mention lack of hormones in causing crepeypness cause I feel since I cut back on my HRT that my skin has a bit of crepeypness but using a dab of Vaseline has helped with it’s appearance by 98%.
Wow!
Probably because she relies on scientific studies. You may have cut back on HRT but you also got older.
So much advice seems to ignore older women, unfortunately they will learn one day, lol.
Please send our love and prayers to your mom. Hope she is doing well.

I use the Eucerin pH5 Shower Oil and I swear my skin is softer than ever. I cannot use normal shower gels anymore as they all leave my skin itchy and dry. It all starts with a mild cleanser and you won't need heavy moisturizers.

I love my NuFace device. I’m a gadget person. Over the past year of use I haven’t noticed a tremendous reduction in crepey-ness, but I have noticed that I have virtually no breakouts of cystic acne.

I’ve noticed this most recently under my arms, now that I’m 60. Thanks for the info, it’s really helpful.
Stephanie seek the advice of a good hormone specialist! Most MD’s don’t understand hormones, and follow “Standard of Care” imposed by big Pharma.
@@totallychillgirl2895 I have one. My Obgyn works with me. So many women are opposed to HRT. They do not understand that it comes with also many benefits. I was writing that response to the poster speaking of the skin on her arms.
I believe creepiness is from lack of muscle - you used to have muscles but they shrunk, therefore your skin “scrunches” to the new muscle mass.
Miss Viking I workout regularly and do strength training with dumbbells. I’m afraid my post gave the impression I had a big problem, when actually it’s slight. However, I agree, even with toning, age has an effect.

Thanks so much, Dr Dray for all the useful information you continue to give us.

I'm glad you addressed this as I was really wanting to know if the whole 'Crepe Erase' was a gimmick or not. I am going out to simply get some Eucerin and go with that instead and ultimately solve the problem and save some 'dough'! Thanks again Dr. Dray for your truthful analysis!

Hello Dr. Dray! Thanks for this video with all the information as usual. Very helpful. What about crepey skin especially under eyes.. would any of these products be safe to use under eye? Day time use with sunscreen would be ok?
Same question
Really enjoyed this. I have lost weight, always had good skin and all of a sudden it is crepey! I am going to try these!
How important is water for the skin in general and if so how much do you recommend.
Thank you Dr Dray. Question, will using the topicals mentioned on a long term basis, correct existing creepiness or just maintain what we have? So glad I found your channel!
Hi Dr. Dray! Thanks a lot for the tips. You look absolutely gorgeous in this video!
would you be able to provide a step by step as how to use these products in our skin care routine?
I was wondering if it would be a morning thing. After the shower on with the lot of it?
I thought more at night lol I don’t have crepey skin but will use it anyway and I will put on parts that would have crepey and the rest of body cerave but idk
The crepey skin I have is on my legs, arms & hands. I've been using Alpha Skin Care Intensive Renewal Serum 14% Glycolic Alpha Hydroxy Acid; Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 30%; Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel-Cream in the morning (CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 30 if going outside. I stay away from windows inside.) At night, I've been using Alpha Skin Care Intensive Renewal Serum 14% Glycolic Alpha Hydroxy Acid; Olay Regenerist Retinol 24 Max Night Face Cream; Origins Make A Difference Rejuvenating Hand Treatment. I'm starting to see some results. What few age spots I have on my hands are lightening. I don't expect to see good results for the crepey skin in a while.
Wow, thank you so much for this. I have severe asthma and have been on prednisone for a couple years. I am only 23 and noticed a patch of crepey skin has developed near my mouth, glad to know that there are ways to combat this. I try not to get too down about it as it isn't super noticeable, but I always know its there.
Miranda Kinsley There are so many other medications for severe asthma I’m shocked they would keep you on Prednisone. It has the potential to be quite dangerous when used long term.
@@LinA-it9vd I do go off it for periods of time, but whenever I have a bout (which is frequent) I get put on a course of prednisone (I also take three controller medications). Is putting the gel out of a vitamin A capsule on your skin safe and/or effective?
Great tips! Thanks. So I am a NuFace user. I used it on a regular basis for years, but during the Pandemic I had no where to go and got lazy with its use. I noticed my jowls getting deeper and deeper. I am back to using NuFace on a regular and am amazed at how my skin is bouncing back with texture tone and lift. It is a bit expensive by I have had mine for over 5 years. At 53 I think it is a great way to exercise your face.
Can you use tretinoin for the under eye area? What’s the best product for under eye crepiness?
My mother has used it under her eyes for over 30 years and has beautiful skin and no crepey under eyes. It dose work. Start out slow under eyes and use it every several days at first and build up. Also can mix it with your moisturizer there so any adverse reaction is reduced a bit.
Yeah I use it under my eye but along the orbital bone. Once that skin is improved the neighboring skin improves a lot. I’m using on my eyelids too. I have not had a problem. .01% for two tears now.

I have read that ceravae has changed formulas on many products. I would love to see your take on the reformulations.
most brands change formulations around constantly..it does not make a difference, aside from consumer preference if they select a different thickener/opacifier and consumer does not care for texture of the product
mars81700 they replaced the preservatives! They used to use parable a witch would never cause stinging but now they use the phenoxyethenol with stings my skin. I’ve had to switch over to vanicream which sucks because it doesn’t contain ceramides or hyaluronic acid.

Studies have shown that topical application of formulas with dill essential oil may help to reinforce skin elasticity and firmness, thus improving the overall appearance of skin. Hi dr! New subscriber here, I just binged a bunch of videos. Thank you for all the in-depth information! You’ve saved me from purchasing more harmful, perfumed, high-cost products. Will I see a benefit since the derivative is different or will it be the same since they are both from vitamin A? Hopefully my question makes sense.
I don't have crepey skin but it is extremely dry. I can vouch for eucerin alpha hydroxy (AH) body lotion and the ceramide one but I always choose the AH lotion over the ceramide one. Only brand that has helped my body.
