This is why I love her so, so much. I watch other makeup gurus on RUclips (who probably learned to do their makeup from other youtubers themselves) and every look they do, even the supposed "everyday natural" looks, always involve multiple color, complicated smoky looks. And lashes. Ain't nobody got time for that and who wants to wear a smoky eye every single day while they're out and about? It's just not practical. Lisa is so versatile and attainable for people of all skill sets and preferences and even the more complicated looks she does she makes them very easy to follow and achieve. She's not trying to show off, she's trying to inform. There are looks where she only has one color on her eyes or even no color or liner and just mascara! That's more like it. And she still looks fabulous in the end. She's a true pro.

daytripper18 Yes, the others really do pack on far too much product on their faces! Way too heavy-handed! It makes me cringe! I love that Lisa's work comes from a very skincare-centric place. She's all about "let's take your skin and improve it every single day and let the makeup maximize your natural beauty", rather than "let's pack on layer after layer of greasy thick concealers to contour our faces to look like Kim Kardashian's!" I also feel that Lisa looks perpetually fantastic so the proof is in the pudding :)

I recently revisited this video and had to drop a comment for you guys watching and thinking "oh, this looks nice, maybe some time". No, do it now, seriously! When I saw it for the first time, when Lisa uploaded it, that was my reaction; only now, a couple years older and noticing some fine lines, I decided to actually do it, and OH WOW. After DAYS, my skin feels incredibly plump! Something really hard to achieve when you have drier skin, which has been my case for the last couple of years. I use simple extra virgin olive oil (a favourite of mine for a long time already), and I am seeing great results. Thank you again, Lisa! x

Hi Lisa. After a 100-hour working week I tried facial massage with simple coconut oil. Having watched the video I was keen to try it, but was skeptical about using coconut oil having oily skin and a challenging lupus-type ulcerating rash (but it was all I had in the house!). Twenty minutes later I caught sight of myself in the mirror and I was pleasantly astonished with the result. Two weeks on and four massages later, I attended a dinner party yesterday with my cousin who is a few years older than me (and in fantastic shape). I knew some people and didn't know quite a few others. Those that knew me thought I'd had work done. Those that didn't know me assumed I was my cousin's daughter (effectively making me at least 10 years younger than I am).
Using coconut oil to moisturise my skin has apparently controlled my own oil production. Its anti-fungal/anti-bacterial properties have reduced my tendency to break-out, and it seems to have an exfoliating quality as well.
    Very grateful, thanks!!

+Lisa Eldridge I'm hoping you'll see this comment, even though it's an older video. Question -- do you have a product recommendation for doing this on oily skin? I know it needs to have good slip, but at 54 I still have overactive oil glands and comedones. Differin has made a HUGE improvement, and my pores look so much better that I don't want to go backwards. A true, sincere thanks for this and all your videos.

Lisa this video was great! You mentioned you have problems with clenching your jaw and grinding them, I've also had the same problem for years. I started seeing a physical therapist for it and he told me to do this jaw exercise that really helped me to minimize the jaw pain and tightness. You just stick your tongue to the roof of your mouth and open and close your jaw gently 50 times and do this 2-3 times a day and this lubricates the jaw muscles and keeps them from being so tight. It has really been a lifesaver and hopefully this may help you also.

Hi Lisa, I just want to let you know that I did this with you just now. I was sitting by the bathroom mirror while I follow along you doing the massages, and it felt really soothing and relaxing (the fact that I was listening to you and massaging my face at the same time). This may be one of your longer videos, but you just going through the process is never minutely dragging at all. I love how it felt like just a me-time ritual where I can just sit there and maybe reflect. I used the Eve Lom cleanser by the way, and it glides amazingly on my skin. I'm combination to oily skin, but my face did just fine, no intense redness whatsoever. It's easy to take off as well and that's why I like it. Just wanna say thank you for sharing this, I feel like doing this more often now. Sorry for the long post though. Lots of love from Canada! :D

i think our skin naturally wants to be "touched". Stimulation is key so as Lisa said do it instinctively. However, please don't do a downward motion bec it can really sag the skin. Like when you clean, tone or moisturize your face, the best is always do upward motions..also patting

I have been doing it only for 3 weeks and what a difference !! Honestly, if I knew this I would have started years ago... my cheeks and lips look more plump, my eye line has visibly lifted and my forehead is so much smoother... the skin feels firm and smooth and nice to touch. I have followed the advice in this video, bought a range of different products discussed here - they are all amazing for different reasons and I enjoy it so much I can’t wait to take my make up off and go through the routine... I have done everything over the years- light antiwrinkle creams, scrubs and moisturisers, drinking litres of water and all that, but nothing came even close to the results I’m getting now.. The skin on my face is somewhat naturally soggy and I laugh a lot so even before my 30 I have quite visible lines in certain places, but they are already disappearing! I can’t wait to see what I will look like in a year !! Now, rather than dreading getting older, I am actually looking forward to this! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU !!! Love the video ♥️

My three-year-old daughter watches your videos with me and all though she can't understand you (she speaks only Russian for now) but once she asked me: "Mommy, do you want to be as beautiful as this girl(!!)" =)) I said yes, and then she said: "I see... I want to as well, when i get older" )))

I was waiting for this video since you mentioned it awhile back. I tried the massage & it's so relaxing! I occasionally suffer from sinus problems & made it a habit of massaging those areas during a bout with it, but I never realized the benefits of a full face massage. At 56 years old, I'll be doing this often to make up for lost time. Thank you for sharing this Lisa. ~Susanne

Lisa thanks so much for making this video! I love your channel but unfortunately most of your make up tutorials are hard for me to try being a young woman of west indian decent! This however I could try! I have just sat here and followed your routine with my regular cleansing oil (Muji own brand) and I just had to come back and comment!! All I can say is I saw an immediate improvement in my skins brightness tightness and also on my bags which I have struggled with for many years. I was speechless. hopefully in time this will help with my old scne scars and general tone of my skin This is going to be another essential step in my nightly routine. Thank you :)

Hi Bilqees N, I just used the oil I cleanse with everyday. It's the Muji own brand and I think its a mix of jojoba, glycerine and a few other oils. it works really well. and is formulated for sensitive skins. My skin combination and blemish prone.

I luckily inherited my mum's wrinkle free skin. The sun is the main thing I'm sixty now and I move from carrot seed oil, coconut oil whatever I have but sunscreen is a must. I do a variety of things but I don't stick to things. Luck, a good diet and genetics along with totally avoiding the sun on face neck shoulders and hands is what does it for me.
I am such a tooth grinder too! This is great! I have this in my list, you have a very calming voice and watching this makes sure I do it at least for the length of the video every evening if I have the time... it's very addictive and I have one of those things that excercise the jaw and neck.... I really appreciate this!

I did this today after disregarding my skincare routine for a few days which resulted in breakouts and heavy droopiness (a trait I got from my father). And after doing this I was so surprised to see that most of the droopiness was gone, and my face looked so much tighter and lifted! I knew it was gonna be good, but didn't expect such an instant effect! I'm 19, but I'm sure it's never too early for this treatment, so I'm gonna do this once a week. Thanks so much!

Lisa, I had an argument with an absolute SOB and you just helped me relax by simply watching you. Lol This was great, but I would add that this method would be very acne friendly in heavy-handed young girls (although they think they are being light on themselves) because of the heat produced by rubbing oil on the face and the overstimulation of the sebaceous glands. That is something that I learned from my MUA teacher who was also a skin expert. Greetings from Argentina! I'm always watching you and learning. xx

Depends on whats going on with work, family and life! I do the 20 second version around the eyes pretty much every morning and then longer versions about twice a week (sometimes more).... but I dont beat myself up when I have no time for it (very important). For a beauty routine to be really affective long term, it needs to be adaptable to fit into your life! X
