  • In this video I explore the reasons why I started running in the first place and ask the question what motivates you to run?
This was recorded 1 week after the sudden death of my dad who sadly being pretty sedentary his whole life and a lover of cigarettes and food was my main motivation for starting running 6 years ago.
This is an honest reflection on how my parents way of life motivated me to run, but also my guilt over not doing more for my dad in his couple of years :-(

Thanks West really appreciate your comments. I found this a useful exercise to come to grips with lots of thoughts and felt sharing my regret was honest and might help others.

Losing both parents within 5 years has been tough, but 6 years ago they were my motivation to try and lead a healthier life, so I ask what motivates you to run? Also do you believe in the afterlife, what has helped you grieve for any lost loved ones?

Sorry mate. Don’t agree with this video, truly sorry for the loss but using the death of your parent should be a personal and close experience with your family not to post and put in the public domain. Shallow.

Appreciate you taking the time to comment and respect your opinion. Not sure I agree that my 15 minutes of honest thoughts are shallow though, thought it was pretty deep to be fair, but hey ho. Take care.
