Modification to Roland Cube Street Ex

- Sound was kinda wimpy sounding. This is what I had to do.
As an added footnote to this. I tried numerous searches about the speakers in this guitar amplifier. They are Roland speakers with part # Roland W0804-045A. 4Ώ - 15 watt.
The tweeters are wired in parallel with the 8" speakers & there does not appear to have any sort of crossover. Wait a second isn't this amplifier 25 watts, x2 for 50 watts total output?
Since making this video I have replaced the speakers with a pair of WGS 8" speakers. However, with the onset of winter, it is simply too loud in an apartment to put it thru its paces.

Ive done this for 1 Year and is soo much better now. But thinking about changing the Speakers.. after 3 Years they are making lot of noise
I'm doing this mod asap.
Seems like I would rather make a new screen and preserve the original one... which is a good idea for any new amp... anyway 😮😮
Can't believe the Engineers at Roland actually covered the sound port.
The engineers know what they do but that guy doesn´t.
Really, the amp is supposedly rated for 50 watts stereo, 25 per side & the speakers are only rated 15 watts.
@@Twobeers1 That is mind blowing, for a moment I was thinking they were being deceitful but they probably count 30 watt stereo for the main speakers, and the 20 watt difference is probably in the tweeters. I will try removing the cube logo, I think that it will help with the sound port, would have been nice to hear a demo difference but gonna try myself :-).
How about maybe using the line outs to record direct to the zoom?
I have used both the built microphones & a line out from the amp, recording on a total of 3 channels. Maybe you can explain to me why they don't sinq on playback? Anywasys, its a learning process,
would a celestion EIGHT 15 work? Since I am in Australia and I can not find the Jensen anywhere but Celestion is available, and there is a question no one seems ask was, is the roland speaker guitar amp speaker or PA, HIFI type speaker?

You can tell the difference when standing about 10 feet in front of the amp. A little bit more boom boom.

@@croonersunrise6241 Yes the rock wool inside is important. It for the lack of a better word, makes the speaker think it is in a bigger enclosure.
