Honestly the easier and most straightforward explanation ever given about storage, GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE!! Oh and obviously PROTECT HIM AT ALL COSTS!!!
We appreciate the awesome feedback!
Totally agree
protect him from who?
2:33 THANK YOU! Been trying to figure out how to use my new ssd for storage, but every vid I could find assumes you're gonna want to use it for boot and only talks about how to install win 10 on it and format the old drive. You my good sir saved me lots of time and frustration!
You deserve a raise. I was about give up and take apart my whole pc, again. Thanks 🙏!
Exactly 🔥
idiot..
Lol why.

its been a while since i upgraded my storage, 2 mins of this video and my new m.2 was in and formatted. brilliant video, simple to follow and straight to the point with no waffle. thanks!
What 'chu got against Waffles? :(
For some reason my new nvme isn’t showing up on the disk manager
This video saved me from so much frustration! I'm honestly so so SO happy for this video, thank you so much! Easy, simple, to the point, no faffing around. I agree with everyone else: give this man a raise!!
Thank you so much for making a comprehensive, easy to follow and well-explained guide for this. Straightforward guides without bloated or ad-related content are so difficult to find anymore. Subscribed.
This video touches up on A LOT of questions that I was trying to figure out even BEFORE buying my new m.2. Amazing video and excellent application of a presentation by the gentleman in the video!
Yea totally agree 💯
Nicely done video, I am increasing my storage and naively thought I could just drop in an M.2 and locate it under my storage tab 🙈 was about to move on from this video until he said about replacing or expanding storage. Good man for covering it all 👍🏻
Oh my god. Tried searching for this info on the web and so many sties trying to sell you their sketchy software. Thank you so much for this vid.
I know I'm three years late, but thank GOD for this guide. If it weren't for this guide I would have wasted close to 100 dollars on a useless peice of plastic. The last part about disk management saved me an unfathomable ammount of stress. THANK YOU SEAGATE.
you literally touched every single doubt I have even before I could start typing it on google, you are amazing and definitely deserve a raise!
For anyone else curious seagate disc wizard only works for free if you have a seagate ssd. Plenty of other free software out there though to switch files from one to another. Great vid, thank you!
Probably one of the most useful videos on RUclips. Very simple, but also explains every options which might be different for everyone from hunded of users. Thanks a lot!
Thank you so much. I’m dumb with computers and I installed an NVMe drive onto my MSI Laptop. Not one of the many videos I watched on how to do it told me I had to format the drive. Thank you so much for this video.
fossthehoss samee here brother
Did you have to use a usb to ssd external device or how did you do it, I’m struggling with mine right now
@@Alex_A-oi4bl bro I’m so sorry. It’s been so long since I did that and I don’t even remember.

Great vid. Helped me through my install
This was seriously the easiest/helpful guide I have EVER watched. Couldn't figure out what was wrong and why it wasn't showing up. Thanks!
3 years later still helping people Thank you!
This guy doesn't look much but he made the video so easy to use, Respect...
A good point for anyone that doesn't have a static bracelet:
Turn off your power then turn off the power supply but LEAVE it plugged in. Touch something grounded to be sure then your pc staying plugged in acts as a ground.
I've built PCs on my lap and never had a problem.
good info. i always make sure i have one hand on the metal case, which should be grounded if it's still plugged in
Thank you. You saved me. I thought I had a defective drive. I didn't know I had to use Disk Management for Windows to recognize it. Thanks again my man.
Hi,

Very clean and efficient video. No filler to stretch out to a longer video. Much appreciated.
Thank you for your feedback, we are glad you enjoyed the video! 😎
Very informative and concise video! I just finished building my new PC and was wondering how to allocate my second m.2 ssd! Thanks for the great info!
Thank you!
Praise this man
Very helpful and straightforward, even 3 years later
*THANK YOU* Finally, someone made a short, concise, and informative vid on how to install and format an M.2 drive. I don't go into my computer like I did 35 years ago.
Thank you so much for this video! I’ve never done any sort of work on electronics, but with the help of this video and a few others I successfully installed an extra TB of ssd onto my gaming laptop! Thank you so much!!!
easy to understand took me 4 other videos to get to this one and this one worked perfectly, Thanks!!

I accidentally connected the SSD at 30.1 degree angle
🥺🥺🥺😢😢😭😭😭😭😭😭
My whole computer blasted
Clear and concise - This world needs more of it! Thank you :D
We are happy you enjoyed our video, Jiva!
Ok so i bought a new ssd nvme, and I thought it was just a plug in and use, so I was freaking out when I couldn't find my "new storage unit". After following the steps I understood that a "New simple volume" had to be added and I thought I would leave it at that because I did not want to format the games and the system in my main drive to install in the new one, and BAM! you go in and not only mention Seagate DiscWizard as you explain how to use it. I cannot be thankful enough!
We are glad you were able to successfully upgrade your storage using Seagate!
Wonderful man and the only video which tells users about Bios settings(which is the most important part while installing m.2)
Thank you very much, I had my new SSD formatted and configured by time 2.:27
You dont know how happy this Video made me
When installing Windows, I'd recommend having ONLY one drive connected, the one you want as your boot & OS drive. I've had Windows decide to create a system partition on another drive that I used for general files, so now I disconnect everything but the drive I want to be C:, then reconnect the rest after Windows is installed.
Nice mate this is what I'm about to comment. 👍👍👍
Microsoft said you can install both m.2 ssd and when you load windows 10 it will adk you which one do you want as C drive
That’s good advice. It can get a little confusing for sure!
I have a question i have an hdd for games and a sata drive with windows on it installed today i installed a new m.2 nvme ssd and my system powers on but the screen is black it doesn't show the boot up or anything do you think i should try copying all the data from the sata to hdd remove the sata then install the m.2 ssd?
@@MMTT7sALd Check in your bios for the boot drive, it should be set to your current SATA drive. This should allow you to boot normally. Then you can use a program such as Macrium Reflect to clone your SATA Windows drive to your new M2 drive. Go back into your bios and change the boot drive to the M2. I usually have a fresh install of Windows whenever I change my boot drive, then copy across any additional files I need from the old boot drive.
Love how he has an esds strap laying on the table that's not grounded and he's handling the drive like it doesn't matter. It's like he flaunting the fact he doesn't need to be grounded whatsoever. Then a little later in the video he says you need to use some type of grounding strap or method before handling it.
Holy moly how can be a Tutorial so good !
Exlained every scenario in the best way possible..
If I could I would give 1000 thumbs up !
Thank you ! Just purchased a second NVMe as a BU. This helped me a lot. Thank you taking the time to share this.

I just bought a new M.2 NVME SSD, it's hard to keep enough space because these games nowadays are huge. I already have 2 ssds and 2 hdds, it's hard out here for a pimp like me.

Thanks for the video! 2:20 for those who already have an SSD and want to install another for games or photos...
I have an existing windows installed on an hdd. The nvme doesn't show up under disk management. it does show in bios. Wd installation instructions say to disconnect the old hdd and install widows on the nvme. I put this computer together few months ago with just an hdd and am just trying to get the computer to recognize and boot off the newly installed nmve without losing files. Gigabyte b450 mobo wd black sn750. Will I lose files if i disconnect the hdd install windows on nvme and then reconnect hdd after the windows install on nvme
THANK YOU SO MUCH, this video helped me so muchhhhhhh i can't express my gratitude to you guys

Does the DiscWizard only work for SeaGate SSD's? I've gotten a Pny NVMEe, will it work for that as well?
Yes
Thanks buddy I can now use my second ssd couldn't find it..now it's working.

Easy and usefull tutorial. ThankYou very much.
hi bro..do you have issues when open it? I can't open it after complete install it
@@kofmighty No, sorry bro. I just did as the tutorial with the same exact options he showed, also I install a fanxiang S500 Pro 1TB NVMe SSD M.2 But just in case before following this tutorial i check if my board recognize the M2 in the Bios, and it did, even allowed me to run some test(dont remember the name). So i could only advise you to check if its hold right in place.

Awesome explanation. I just built a new tower and was HOPING to install the OS on the M.2, and this is gonna be my go-to once I reformat and redo the installation (I couldn't get it to work so I did the install on the regular HDD...)
Congrats on the new tower! We are happy to hear this was helpful.
Hello there. I have an issue I'm running Windows 10 with an M.2 as boot and 2 HD as storage, I tried to upgrade to Windows 11, but for that I need to turn select "UFEI only" on my bios, however when I do that the M.2 is not visible and the machine can't boot. What could be the issue(s)? Thank you very much.
in one video you answer all my questions, truly thank you

Thank you so much just got a new NvME ssd and was confused why it didn’t show up
With this new form of SSD, going straight to the MOBO and all rather than SATA cables, how can I tell if a MOBO has the proper fittings for it? I'm currently in the market of doing a bottom-up rig because Elden Ring DLC is coming in June and I want myself a decent machine to power through two uninterrupted weeks of play (as I had plenty of PTO to spare).
Great video guys.
I did run into some areas with the free softwares. I got around them. Do not do the trial of the pro wizard. It asks for a key after trying to move your stuff around in wizard. Just do the normal trial. Thanks for the help brother!!
Thanks for the tutorial. 😁
Thanks so much you saved me so much time.
