I have a NVME drive that I had my OS installed can I use it for my second drive for games, if yes,do you have a video link how to completely wipe it like new
Your pc may be like mine and may not be able to support two SSDs. If your intel chip is version ten or less you can't add another SSD. So you''ll either have to replace the current one with one with more capacity or add a SATA SSD instead@@frankdedvukaj8767
Don't you love it when you watch a RUclips tutorial and you follow it and everything goes the way it should be. Thanks my man, now I can install more games!
Had this exact issue couldn’t figure out why my 2nd m.2 wouldn’t show up followed this video and bam doubled storage thanks so much got a sub outta me great tutorial
I didn’t know you had to do all this with a second m.2 and thought my harddrive upgrade came faulty and was about ready to return it. Thanks for a clean, easy to follow guide!
Thank you for a very clear and precise explanation. This was my first time installing a "fancy" drive and I truly expected Win 11 to automatically detect it, with me having to format it like normally. When it didn't show up in the file manager my heart literally stopped, because I honestly thought I had ruined it with static or broke the connector (MP600 Pro XT drive, so cheap...). This video saved my sanity, thank you.
got a 1tb SSD for Christmas that I had been procrastinating on installing for over a month because I didn't know what I was doing and was worried about breaking something. This video was super helpful, thanks!
Dude you are a godsend!!! Just added a 1tb nvme 2.0 to my MSI laptop for gaming and your tutorial help me format it! For some reason my computer initially didn't recognize it and I thought I did something wrong but now now thanks to you, I've got 1.5 terabytes of memory to play with! Thank you so much for posting this!!
Two years after the video it’s still helping people. I had never used M.2 drives before and didn’t know what to do to get a second one set up and running. This video was exactly what I needed. Thank you!
Absolutely wonderful walkthrough, I completely forgot needing to reinitialize and your instructions perfectly handled every step needed. Thank you so much!
New guy to upgrading a PC. Mine was a pre-built, but it does what I want it to do. I just want to say that this video was beneficial. I was watching the other SSD video you made and didn't realize there are two types of SSD connections, and watching this video helped me get a two TB drive to work. Thank you so much for this video, my dude; it saved me a headache!
Unfortunately for me, my drive isn't recognized at all. Not in bios or disk management on bottom slot. If I put it in the top slot, my computer freezes at the boot screen. I updated the bios and this still happens. The drive works in my laptop. And if I use my laptop nvme the boot screen won't freeze (but it does kick me to the bios and won't boot)
Amazing, after building my perfect PC 3 years back I started to dread opening it up to update and upgrade. You made the second .nvme super simple to install. Thanks again
What do I do if the NVME drive won't show up in disk management no matter what I try. I have Uninstaller, reinstalled, changed which port it is in on the motherboard, and various other solutions I've found online. I have two 980 pros and the first is my C drive but the second will not let me use it. It shows up in the bios, the device manager, and various other places but I can't get it to show up in disk management and so I am unable to initialize it or anything.
I had this same issue. You need to set your BIOS to UEFI and then when you turn on your pc, go to drivers, scan for driver changes, update it if necessary and your second ssd should appear in disk management
For those who dont have initialise, just right click in the unallocated disk and hit create simple volume, then follow the steps and dont change any setting in the wizard till your done and it will be created and show in THIS PC
One of the best guides I have seen on here, very informative and did not go into unnecessary detail. I followed the same steps and it worked amazingly…THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!
I was afraid of installing a 2nd M.2 SSD incorrectly. I'd say I'm new to custom/PC building, and your explanation did so much justice for noobies like myself! Bless your soul
Your videos are honestly a blessing! Everything from installing a new NVME on the X570 motherboard to formatting it have all saved me a ton of headache to me as a total novice to this type of stuff! I can’t thank you enough for your videos! ❤
Around 4:30, you show that we can select the Unallocated Disk option to install a new SSD. What do you do if an installed disk doesn't show up? Thanks for the video!
Thanks so much for this guide, decided to finally go for some more space on the pc and installed my very first NVMe M.2 ssd into the computer. I was worried but everything went super smooth with this guide and seems to be working perfectly.
Thanks for this vid. It's been 5 years since I installed a drive. I quickly got my new MSI SPATIUM 4TB set up while following along. I have liked this vid and subscribed to your channel. I also did a drag and drop of everything from my old drive to the new one. It took about 15-20 minutes and that includes my entire STEAM library. Much faster than downloading it from STEAM. Again, thanks.
My man! Ive been stressing trying to figure out how to get my new crucial 1tb m.2 showing and this was quick easy and straight to the point. Well done bro! And thank you!
I'm happy this video is Google's first recommendation when googling. I came here one year ago, for my second NVMe drive. Now I'm here for the 3rd & 4th one (and don't remember the steps). Thanks. :)
