@Mr DejavuKing Only if you watch this channel do the R5 and R6 look bad. Every other review shows these having the best IBIS, AF and image quality of any full frame mirrorless camera. In fact, I watched a video last night by a pro wedding photographer who shot the R5 along with his C200 and BMP6K cameras and he showed/said that the R5 image quality was the best of the bunch. I'm just think Kasey and Canon are like oil and water and just shouldn't mix.
@Mr DejavuKing I watched on my 5K retina screen (about double the resolution of your TV) and the R6 looked more detailed to me than the XT4. But, it was pretty close overall for sharpness, colour and dynamic range. I find the sharpness levels on the XT4 and A7SIII look more like cheap video than film while the R6 image looks more cinematic and natural. For overexpose test, the Fuji had the advantage because CLOG is meant to be underexposed as its strength is in shadow recovery; this was evident in the underexposed comparison where the Fuji colour fell apart when recovered and the R6 looked much better.
@Mac I prefer buying enough camera to get the job done and nothing more. I'm in the midst of cashing out full-frame gear for a lighter Fujifilm set-up (and the 50mm f/1.0)...

I actually prefer the Canon image much more. And I'm not even a Canon fanboy, I'm a Nikon stills shooter converting to Sony for both video and stills. The Fuji appears to have far less dynamic range and his skin tone seems slightly off.
@@RobinHood948 The Fuji is definitely more contrasty but the shadows look closer to being crushed and the highlights to being blown out. It's much closer when he's outdoors... I made my first comment while watching the indoor segment.
I have no money or intention to buy any of these cameras but seem to watch every vid! And I just noted who you are - and I watch your watch reviews, too. Small world.
True but Canon c-log isn't very good. When they add c-log3 it will do a lot better on DR it's almost 2 stops better, but Canon has never sorted out reds, although 5DsR was ok.
Both looked good but I like the Fuji better (color and dynamic range wise). To make it matters worse for Canon, the Fuji w/ 18-55 is $2,000. Canon w/ 15-35 is $4,700. It’s more than twice the price (and weight) and yet it can’t even compete with it.
Good God, that interpretive dance AF test was unbelievable. I had become very sad in my belief that the Internet had nothing new to offer, but boy was I wrong. Smile back on face. 🙂. Thank you.
The autofocus seems to have improved greatly on the XT4, the heavy focus hunting issues are very much reduced, so much so it's competing and even beating the Canon (not something I thought I'd ever say!). The highlights (when outdoors especially) on the Canon look really unattractive & unnatural, it makes you look half dead at times! The Fuji might have slightly harder shadow on the shaded side but it has a more natural pleasing look to the eye. The XT4 is turning into quite a special machine, as an APSC to be going round for round with advanced heavyweight full frame cameras like the R6 on focus, dynamic range, IQ, I doff my cap to it!
The colours, dynamic range and auto exposure of the fuji is overall more pleasing. Kinda disappointing when you realise the price and weight difference.
I think the Canon lens has better light transmission and hence it's brighter at every setting set same on both cameras. I'd recommend the T stop values for the lenses used in this comparison.
All I can say is I LOVE my Fuji. Its just fun to use. I considered a few times to get an additional full frame body+lenses but in the end it was not worth it.

Ok so: in your tests, the Fuji has a very noticeable better dynamic range. The Canon seems to ‘white out’ on your facial highlights. I am also shocked at how easy the Canon kept loosing focus. I also found the colours better on the Fuji, the grass was more natural in the Squirrel shot. Overall, the Canon seems to have a slight pinky/red on facial colours but the Fuji was way better with skin. Still though, none of these two cameras compete with the Sony A7S III. In my own opinion. 13:57 - What's going on with the R6 and green? Just really odd that in the RG footage, the grass looks like it's near death, but in the Fuji, it looks lush. Different locations, I guess, or the color grading. Fuji wins dynamic range again... and weirdly, it won the autofocus challenge consistently.
Surprised at the hunting on the Canon and the Fuji colours are in another league - Eterna rules... Canon slightly sharper but, on the HD screen, Fuji seems very polished. Love the videos.

Fuji has a very pleasing image to look at. Skin tones especially.
Fuji with the KO!! These videos are informative and hilarious!!!
Im dissapointed in R6 autofocus, I already did some work with it and its not reliable..
R6 AF is slow in 1080p, but ok in 4k. lmao. nonsence.
That's been the biggest surprise for me, it constantly hunts outside, and gets super bad in low light. Even the G9 beat it in an upcoming video lol.
@@cameraconspiracies exactly!
@@cameraconspiracies but firmware updates will improve that. i'll still pass on canon for a while, even though it is superb in some ways.
Should make sure to take off EYE AF for video. It’s not reliable in complex or low lighting.
Camera Conspiracy mom. The lore keeps expanding!
was watching your Nikon Z50 video and got the notification. Waiting for my shirt... love your channel.
Surprised at the hunting on the Canon and the Fuji colours are in another league - Eterna rules... Canon slightly sharper but, on the HD screen, Fuji seems very polished. Love the videos.
