I feel like there’s a new camera coming out every other week now 😶 It’s going to get to the point where people/companies want character and art over clarity and perfection. Invest just as much time in developing your artistic voicing as you do updating your gear, friends!
Competition is good , before they purposely gave only 4k 60 crop on 2499$ cameras both A7IV and R6. Now R6ii with same price giving 6k external , more megapixel, 4k no crop. We are getting benefited from the competition. Better gear for same price.
If people are wasting time on upgrading and learning new gear that’s their bad. If they have serious business plan they need to focus on what business needs marketing etc rather than upgrading gear. There’s no wrong in camera companies giving better products at lower or same price. 10 bit internal videos and raw recording videos used to be very expensive some years back. Now in small body and in a fraction or price we are getting better gear.

What Canon did with the R6 and R5 was already at technical limits. 8K Raw Video on a non active cooled 45mp sensor at full bitrate was already a miracle. but technology will progress anyway. But of course I agree, competition boosts that. Although I feel like Sony is heavily struggling since canons R system came on the market.
Quick note: You can program the m-fn (or other) button on the R5 to switch between video and stills. It makes switching modes easy and quick. Additionally you can program the shutter button to start recording.
With the R5 you can customize the FN button to make it where you can switch between photos and video mode with a click of one button. It works really well and I use that all the time with wild life and weddings.
i'm still on a 5dmk3. as of right now, if i am a photographer but want to learn videography and have a camera i can grow into, do you think the r5 is still the best right now? i was also looking into the sony a7rv.
@@tau_tv I started on 5D iii and the R5 is 1000 times better. I feel like the R5 is the best hybrid camera out there. The video is great and so are the photos. If you want a better video then go with Sonny. Canon glass is better than Sonny's but more expensive.
@@tau_tv Owned 5dmk3 for 6 years, switched to R5 (and R6 as backup) a year ago. Never ever going back to DSLRs :) Thought a while about Sony, but took a test ride and realised that I'm not ready for totally different menus and overall different work organising
I appreciate your candor pointing out that for hobbyist photographers this camera is probably overkill. I am mostly a hobbyist and I shoot a few paid gigs here and there. I currently have an R6 that I saved up for a long time to buy, and even though I would love to get this MK2 version the realty is my camera does everything I need.

It is incredible having this many features for $2500. I make my whole living as a videographer and photographer using an R6 and 5D4, now you can get allllll these pro features for just $2500. Even 5 years ago it was unfathomable to have all these features for like less than 5-7k. If you are just starting as a creator, any camera made like 2018 or later is viable, at this point the newest cameras pretty much have everything you realistically need for most jobs, and more
Yes, but the 5D MKII, just to be clear, was like $2700 new in the US upon release. Perhaps he was referring to fully kitted with lenses battery grip, etc.
As some one who is just getting into video work mostly, and mostly studio work. I've been eyeing up cameras for a while now. I truly go between cannon r7 or r6, any black magic designs, a sony fx30, and z cam. I like that they have a full sized hdmi port, and better recording specs, and have pretty munch unlimited lend choices.
In 3 years the original 5D will be 20 years old. That was my first big time camera as well and I bought mine used with a 35L. What an amazing camera that was.
This is perfect. I’ve been resisting the R5 because it’s a bit overkill price wise and feature wise. I’m still rocking a 6D Mark II ( I believe you got me on that one years ago Pete ) but this is the sweet spot. I wanted something a bit above hobbyist so i didn’t feel the need to upgrade again too soon.

same here! Was looking into the R5 but I think I'll jump to the R6 M2 instead... I love my 6D M2 but in 2023 it lacks the video features I need as a photographer.

@@royaltykidstv canon has been pretty much the only camera manufacturer left that unnecessarily forced memory cards to stop recording every 30 minutes which is an absolute ballache. Now they’ve made it so if you buy their most expensive camera you get this small feature.
I’m a hobbyist so your right, this camera isn’t for me. I bought the R5 instead 😂 But seriously it’s amazing how far technology is coming and to the point where you don’t need the flagship models, or even the mid range models to get a spectacular camera with a lot of features

Other than the low 20mp from my r6 i have no other needs… i really miss my canon 5d mark iv… that camera is a beast… aside from eye focus i’d choose that camera over anything
Current RP shooter who's spending most of my money on higher-end lenses atm rather than upgrade the body and not lenses. But I've almost got the lens library that I want. So I was planning on bypassing the R and R6 when upgrading bodies and going for the R5 even tho it has more than what I need. This new R6 Mark II has everything I want in a body and saves me quite a lot of money as well. This is definitely what I will be upgrading to for my next camera body.
No point, RP is more than enough. If you’re shooting stills, portraits or automotive. The RP is legit the best bang for buck camera. Paired with good lenses, it’s basically a top tier camera. Only downside is videography. If you care for 4K, then the RP will struggle a bit.
I don't know why they never put some optional 2.5k video on those cameras, like in 120p or 150p. That Will be great for people Who want to upscale nicely to a 4k timeline.
This is "The Camera" for me. I wanted the r6, but in this version EVERY SINGLE PROBLEM i had with it is fixed. Like everything. No joke it's a perfect camera. I would take this over the r5.
Curious what your issues were with the R6? I've been thinking about getting it, even now moreso since the Mk2 is coming and I can pray for a price drop on the original.
@@reecord2 Issues as in negatives? MPs are a little low, but for what I shoot it hasn't been an issue. The original R6 has been a great camera for me. It's a real workhorse. I just like the added MPs, the improved AF, and the burst shooting mode on the MKII. I may keep my original R6 as a 2nd body, but that remains to be seen.

I love the prospect of a Stills / Film switch, fantastic. And to be able to record for 6hrs, as opposed to 30mins, is great. But I’m not a pro, simply a mere amateur, so it goes into the ‘don’t need it, hard to justify, perhaps one day’ box. But it is great that it exists and is out there ….
This is a great video Peter! I was torn between buying a used R6II or go with the R8 that is about to drop. There is a $1000 price difference but almost seems worth it.
@Step bro Do you know of any method to fix this issue? There is a distinct difference in my HD shake to 4K. The 4K footage appears to become distorted as I move rapidly and even from minor movements

A high percentage of cont creators who do camera reviews like to start their video with a drink. Is this part of the culture or do they not watch each others videos?
What makes me want to buy this is the fast subject tracking, left/ right eye focus, the ISO is higher than the R5 204,801. It's only 670 grams with battery (I like!) The quick switch between photo and video is important for my work. I'm interested in the burst-mode to have more options to choose from. The battery life is better than the R5 with 760 shots compared to 490 shots. But... the resolution is 6000 x 4000 (compared to 8192 x 5464pix in the R5) and I would like to crop in on photos if necessary, I don't know, maybe it's good enough. With the R5MK II coming out, I'm doubting on this one, because the R5 MK II will be more pro-level!
Jared Polin's video said he was recording all day in southern California heat at 4K 60fps and has no problem with overheating. Tho you could check is video for a bit more detail than what I described as I've of course never touched the camera.
My only question is does it have improved color science from the original R6? I know the original had more of an orange color temp compared to any other canon camera.
every canon sensor is a bit different and has a different colours. even the 5dmk4 compared to R is different and they share same sensor with some little tweaks on the R. I think the same goes for all camera brands. I have both the R5 and R6 and I prefer the colour of the R6 so I guess that is also subjective.
im thinking about selling my r7 for r6mk2, but im slightly worried about the lower resolution. but the image should be cleaner right? so maybe the total image quality is still better at 24megapixel

I really like that 6k raw update!! I think that overheating was always a problem while shooting 4k with these canon cameras, i hope they fixed it, otherwise filming for more than 30 min is not valuable..
@@royaltykidstv about 40 min 4K 60fps and 6 hours 4K at 30fps nonstop… Given you got card space and battery. So in regular 24-30p it probably will never overheat under normal use
That won’t happen. Canon’s job is to make lots of cameras and lenses and make you buy lots of cameras and lenses. If it makes sense to upgrade go for it, otherwise make great pictures with what you have. New features will always make you want it and that’s just life. There’s no excuses with any modern camera, they all do a good job.
THIS R6 MKII IS FAR BETTER VALUE THAN AN R5 OR R3. 70%OF CANON R5 PHOTOGRAPHERS DO NOT NEED 30% OF ALL THE R5 OR R3 FEATURES. THEY GET THESE CAMERA BODIES AS SYMBOLS TO SHOW OTHERS ‘’HERE IS WHAT I CAN AFFORD’’.
Interesting thoughts on this. Sounds like some great updates, particularly the increase in video recording time, and the oversampling. I'm loving my original R6. The R6, R5, and R3 are fantastic choices for pros and part time pros. This newest update isn't quite a big enough technology leap to upgrade to yet - but it's great to see Canon making some long requested changes.
the EOS 5D Mark II was 2.249€ (probably roughly the same in $) when it came out. The original 5D did cost 2.150€. After a few months u could get one for way under 2k. So either ur memory is way off, or somebody scammed the heck out of u. Also u could buy it anywhere, where they sell cameras, at least here in Europe.

I was sitting through the video to hear that wobbling on wide angles is fixed. Seems that is not :( If IBIS is still not fixed, I have to trade my eos R and 15-35 lens for Sony. Not sure I can wait for a few more years for camera upgrade.
So glad they added the switch between a stills and video. Hopefully making hybrid shooting a bit easier. I hated not having the ability to set custom video settings on the 3 custom dials on the R6.
@@34crustydemon from what I can tell from videos, I’m not sure if you’re able to set custom video settings to the dial. But since you have the photo/video switch, it should still be a little easier to switch between video and stills in an instant. What I am hoping is that you can set your custom dials in stills and video mode separately.
Hey @Peter I know I am not a wizard but just a muggle and like most of the muggles we mostly watch RUclips on our tiny weeny 6" mobile screen and I dont see any difference between 720p or 4K. Yeh I toggled your video between 720p and 4k, and nothing happened. So then I switched to my home PC which is a Dell 24" SVGA monitor and I could not find any difference between 1080p and 2160p. Are we just pixel peeping (spelling??) for marketing or there is really something I am missing? Tell me how many of us muggles watch Peter McKinnon and Casey NiceTat (jk!) on 95" 8K monitor. Damn I am getting old.
The question is......does it overheat? because all that goodness is useless if you can use it for only 20 minutes! Here in Thailand both the R6 and R5 overheat after 20 min in 4k IPB. Not good!
Ive been a hobbyist landscape photographer since 2008 when i bought a 50d for peanuts. I still use that today but its really showing its age now. Id like a new option to go for that isnt multiple thousands without a single lens. No idea where to look for aomething thats both good and budget. Im ok spending around $1000 if i can still use my canon lenses. Any suggestions?
What’s sad is seeing all the camera companies basically following Apple’s business model on I phones. New models have a few different features….sell sell sell. Someone needs to be bold and produce “THE NEW CAMERA” and everyone else can quit the feature hypes. 😂

Why are all of these new cameras judged on their video specs, when all of these brands now have cameras that are specifically designed for video first. I dare one of the top three brands to produce a photo-only camera that has the best processor and sensor ever and sell it for $1,000. Id buy two in a heartbeat!
Interesting how Canon always lags in body controls behind Nikon... That photo / video switch... And that FLIPOUT screen is junk... like any, it's reminiscent of '80s camcorders, every serious Sony and Nikon have different hinge.
I don't know who they made it for, but one thing I know for sure that for now, it's not me. I need third-party affordable great-performance glass to go with an affordable Full Frame body. Even Nikon has great cheaper glass now! WTFs Canon thinking? We go out and buy an R6ii and jump straight to a 28-70 F2 or 85 F1.2? That is a huge barrier to enter Canon, in my opinion. BTW the 85 F2 Macro is BS, 16 & 50 primes are overpriced cheap feeling junk and the 35 is the only one starting prime acceptable. I'd rather pick-up an 90D and enjoy my full options on the EF mount if at all Canon was the one and only. God, I used to love using Canons.
Potential Dealbreaker Warning !!!! R6 MKII - Card Recording not supported with clean HDMI out :( Canon has done it again. removed a basic feature that existed for 15 years since in the 5D MKIII that (with MagicLantern) that seems to be still the only Canon camera that can Livestream and Record internally (as backup) a long video session like the full day conference that im streaming at the moment without stopping every 29:59. i havnt checked the R7 R10 R50 R3 R8 yet, but i have the feeling that this is the case on most if not all new - continuously recording canon hybrid cameras. i am completely bewildered by this move and very dissapointed to say the least. I am giving up on the hope for a proper all rounder from canon at this point. just don't trust them anymore. im also quite surprised that nowhere is this mentioned in all the many reviews praising this camera. maybe no one streams multicam with Canon cameras, but if you are - be aware. 📸💥🔨

What would yall choose between Sony A7IV and this? I have the A6300, for photos it sucks but I do both photo and video. I’ve only ever used Canon cameras for event photography, so I’m not sure how video does / if between the Sony 7IV and this, the R6mkii is the better option. I like cinematic PM style videos

fuuuuu.... I've bought R6 in Dec 2021 assuming that Canon will not push R6MKII soon, and if R6MKII will eventually come it won't be much better for my needs. MKII was made so fast with all major issues of MKI fixed. I feel like Canon shouldn't put MKI on the market at all.
Just bought the first version of the R6 to be my second camera to my R5. Honestly I love the duo so much but the only thing that sucks so bad and is a huge limiting factor and almost made me switch to Sony is the 30 minute time limit. Will they please give us an update to at least allow one 4K mode and frame rate that will let us record longer than 30 minutes?! It looks really unprofessional shooting an interview sequence when I have to cut the person off every 30 minutes to restart my cameras!
I honestly don’t see a difference between this and maybe a 5DII. Something about all of the footage I have watched is just dark and old (2015 old?) looking. Nothing special looking to me.
Bro I don't know you personally but I can truly a brother and a friend... This camera has been my dream camera. for the past year or so. Gods willing this make come through some time very soon . I am a professional photographer who I getting into video and productions for youTube and otherwise. I wish Canon would come out with a newer full frame camera at a more mid range price point. Something 2k or under. Something not so heavily focused on video. Just give me 24mp, and IBIS, and I'm all set. R6 and R5 are out of my price range, and R and RP are too outdated at this point in my opinion. Make something in between those. Not in between R7 and R10.
When shooting video, how do you create a custom white balance? - oh ....you have to switch to photomode then take a picture and then do the WB and then get back in video mode 🤣- that's ridiculous and overpriced for 24MP micro HDMI camera
1:20 why? why not incorporate the 2. make "on" a looong way from off & then having photos & video close so you cant accidentally turn off. otherwise its a camera i want. please also canon bring out some L f1.8 prime lenses. not everyone wants the godzilla sized f1.2 offerings. HFIF is a format more camera makers should be embracing. go canon!

@@royaltykidstv canon has been pretty much the only camera manufacturer left that unnecessarily forced memory cards to stop recording every 30 minutes which is an absolute ballache. Now they’ve made it so if you buy their most expensive camera you get this small feature.

But seriously it’s amazing how far technology is coming and to the point where you don’t need the flagship models, or even the mid range models to get a spectacular camera with a lot of features

Other than the low 20mp from my r6 i have no other needs… i really miss my canon 5d mark iv… that camera is a beast… aside from eye focus i’d choose that camera over anything

Current RP shooter who's spending most of my money on higher-end lenses atm rather than upgrade the body and not lenses. But I've almost got the lens library that I want. So I was planning on bypassing the R and R6 when upgrading bodies and going for the R5 even tho it has more than what I need. This new R6 Mark II has everything I want in a body and saves me quite a lot of money as well. This is definitely what I will be upgrading to for my next camera body.
No point, RP is more than enough. If you’re shooting stills, portraits or automotive. The RP is legit the best bang for buck camera. Paired with good lenses, it’s basically a top tier camera. Only downside is videography. If you care for 4K, then the RP will struggle a bit.

I don't know why they never put some optional 2.5k video on those cameras, like in 120p or 150p. That Will be great for people Who want to upscale nicely to a 4k timeline.

This is "The Camera" for me. I wanted the r6, but in this version EVERY SINGLE PROBLEM i had with it is fixed. Like everything. No joke it's a perfect camera. I would take this over the r5.

@@reecord2 Issues as in negatives? MPs are a little low, but for what I shoot it hasn't been an issue. The original R6 has been a great camera for me. It's a real workhorse. I just like the added MPs, the improved AF, and the burst shooting mode on the MKII. I may keep my original R6 as a 2nd body, but that remains to be seen.

@wood ofw The fluctuations of the market only affect those that hodl coins, but traders makes money on both sides, when it's bearish they go short when it's bullish they go long... I love the prospect of a Stills / Film switch, fantastic. And to be able to record for 6hrs, as opposed to 30mins, is great. But I’m not a pro, simply a mere amateur, so it goes into the ‘don’t need it, hard to justify, perhaps one day’ box. But it is great that it exists and is out there ….

Doubtful. They are limited to the amount of heat generated at various recording qualities and modes and have to have limits.
This is a great video Peter! I was torn between buying a used R6II or go with the R8 that is about to drop. There is a $1000 price difference but almost seems worth it.

@Step bro Do you know of any method to fix this issue? There is a distinct difference in my HD shake to 4K. The 4K footage appears to become distorted as I move rapidly and even from minor movements
@@gavintheghost5494 That phenomenon is called rolling shutter. there's some effects to reduce it in post but there's not a lot you can do about it.

A high percentage of cont creators who do camera reviews like to start their video with a drink. Is this part of the culture or do they not watch each others videos?
What makes me want to buy this is the fast subject tracking, left/ right eye focus, the ISO is higher than the R5 204,801. It's only 670 grams with battery (I like!) The quick switch between photo and video is important for my work. I'm interested in the burst-mode to have more options to choose from. The battery life is better than the R5 with 760 shots compared to 490 shots. But... the resolution is 6000 x 4000 (compared to 8192 x 5464pix in the R5) and I would like to crop in on photos if necessary, I don't know, maybe it's good enough. With the R5MK II coming out, I'm doubting on this one, because the R5 MK II will be more pro-level!

I hate to be the guy to ask, but how is the overheating when shooting 4k? My R6 overheats all the time and it’s genuinely the worst.
Jared Polin's video said he was recording all day in southern California heat at 4K 60fps and has no problem with overheating. Tho you could check is video for a bit more detail than what I described as I've of course never touched the camera.
My only question is does it have improved color science from the original R6? I know the original had more of an orange color temp compared to any other canon camera.
clips shown on video were ungraded, if you have R6 or had a chance to use it, please do compare and let us know, if you see any difference
every canon sensor is a bit different and has a different colours. even the 5dmk4 compared to R is different and they share same sensor with some little tweaks on the R. I think the same goes for all camera brands. I have both the R5 and R6 and I prefer the colour of the R6 so I guess that is also subjective.
im thinking about selling my r7 for r6mk2, but im slightly worried about the lower resolution. but the image should be cleaner right? so maybe the total image quality is still better at 24megapixel

I really like that 6k raw update!! I think that overheating was always a problem while shooting 4k with these canon cameras, i hope they fixed it, otherwise filming for more than 30 min is not valuable..

That won’t happen. Canon’s job is to make lots of cameras and lenses and make you buy lots of cameras and lenses. If it makes sense to upgrade go for it, otherwise make great pictures with what you have. New features will always make you want it and that’s just life. There’s no excuses with any modern camera, they all do a good job.

THIS R6 MKII IS FAR BETTER VALUE THAN AN R5 OR R3. 70%OF CANON R5 PHOTOGRAPHERS DO NOT NEED 30% OF ALL THE R5 OR R3 FEATURES. THEY GET THESE CAMERA BODIES AS SYMBOLS TO SHOW OTHERS ‘’HERE IS WHAT I CAN AFFORD’’.

Interesting thoughts on this. Sounds like some great updates, particularly the increase in video recording time, and the oversampling.
I'm loving my original R6. The R6, R5, and R3 are fantastic choices for pros and part time pros. This newest update isn't quite a big enough technology leap to upgrade to yet - but it's great to see Canon making some long requested changes.

the EOS 5D Mark II was 2.249€ (probably roughly the same in $) when it came out. The original 5D did cost 2.150€. After a few months u could get one for way under 2k. So either ur memory is way off, or somebody scammed the heck out of u. Also u could buy it anywhere, where they sell cameras, at least here in Europe.

If IBIS is still not fixed, I have to trade my eos R and 15-35 lens for Sony. Not sure I can wait for a few more years for camera upgrade.
So glad they added the switch between a stills and video. Hopefully making hybrid shooting a bit easier. I hated not having the ability to set custom video settings on the 3 custom dials on the R6.
This is also the most annoying thing about the R6 for me. Has this been fixed on the R6II?
@@34crustydemon from what I can tell from videos, I’m not sure if you’re able to set custom video settings to the dial. But since you have the photo/video switch, it should still be a little easier to switch between video and stills in an instant. What I am hoping is that you can set your custom dials in stills and video mode separately.

Hey @Peter I know I am not a wizard but just a muggle and like most of the muggles we mostly watch RUclips on our tiny weeny 6" mobile screen and I dont see any difference between 720p or 4K. Yeh I toggled your video between 720p and 4k, and nothing happened. So then I switched to my home PC which is a Dell 24" SVGA monitor and I could not find any difference between 1080p and 2160p. Are we just pixel peeping (spelling??) for marketing or there is really something I am missing? Tell me how many of us muggles watch Peter McKinnon and Casey NiceTat (jk!) on 95" 8K monitor. Damn I am getting old.

The question is......does it overheat? because all that goodness is useless if you can use it for only 20 minutes! Here in Thailand both the R6 and R5 overheat after 20 min in 4k IPB. Not good!

Ive been a hobbyist landscape photographer since 2008 when i bought a 50d for peanuts. I still use that today but its really showing its age now. Id like a new option to go for that isnt multiple thousands without a single lens. No idea where to look for aomething thats both good and budget. Im ok spending around $1000 if i can still use my canon lenses. Any suggestions?
What’s sad is seeing all the camera companies basically following Apple’s business model on I phones. New models have a few different features….sell sell sell. Someone needs to be bold and produce “THE NEW CAMERA” and everyone else can quit the feature hypes. 😂

I went from m50 mk1 to r6 mkii as well and it's night and day difference for me with the kit lens I had on it

Why are all of these new cameras judged on their video specs, when all of these brands now have cameras that are specifically designed for video first. I dare one of the top three brands to produce a photo-only camera that has the best processor and sensor ever and sell it for $1,000. Id buy two in a heartbeat!

That is a huge barrier to enter Canon, in my opinion.
BTW the 85 F2 Macro is BS, 16 & 50 primes are overpriced cheap feeling junk and the 35 is the only one starting prime acceptable.
I'd rather pick-up an 90D and enjoy my full options on the EF mount if at all Canon was the one and only. God, I used to love using Canons.

removed a basic feature that existed for 15 years since in the 5D MKIII that (with MagicLantern) that seems to be still the only Canon camera that can Livestream and Record internally (as backup) a long video session like the full day conference that im streaming at the moment without stopping every 29:59.
i havnt checked the R7 R10 R50 R3 R8 yet, but i have the feeling that this is the case on most if not all new - continuously recording canon hybrid cameras.
i am completely bewildered by this move and very dissapointed to say the least. I am giving up on the hope for a proper all rounder from canon at this point. just don't trust them anymore.
im also quite surprised that nowhere is this mentioned in all the many reviews praising this camera. maybe no one streams multicam with Canon cameras, but if you are - be aware.

What would yall choose between Sony A7IV and this? I have the A6300, for photos it sucks but I do both photo and video.
I’ve only ever used Canon cameras for event photography, so I’m not sure how video does / if between the Sony 7IV and this, the R6mkii is the better option.

fuuuuu.... I've bought R6 in Dec 2021 assuming that Canon will not push R6MKII soon, and if R6MKII will eventually come it won't be much better for my needs. MKII was made so fast with all major issues of MKI fixed. I feel like Canon shouldn't put MKI on the market at all.
Just bought the first version of the R6 to be my second camera to my R5. Honestly I love the duo so much but the only thing that sucks so bad and is a huge limiting factor and almost made me switch to Sony is the 30 minute time limit. Will they please give us an update to at least allow one 4K mode and frame rate that will let us record longer than 30 minutes?! It looks really unprofessional shooting an interview sequence when I have to cut the person off every 30 minutes to restart my cameras!

I wish Canon would come out with a newer full frame camera at a more mid range price point. Something 2k or under. Something not so heavily focused on video. Just give me 24mp, and IBIS, and I'm all set. R6 and R5 are out of my price range, and R and RP are too outdated at this point in my opinion. Make something in between those. Not in between R7 and R10.
When shooting video, how do you create a custom white balance? - oh ....you have to switch to photomode then take a picture and then do the WB and then get back in video mode 🤣- that's ridiculous and overpriced for 24MP micro HDMI camera
1:20 why? why not incorporate the 2. make "on" a looong way from off & then having photos & video close so you cant accidentally turn off. otherwise its a camera i want. please also canon bring out some L f1.8 prime lenses. not everyone wants the godzilla sized f1.2 offerings. HFIF is a format more camera makers should be embracing. go canon!
