@Vic Don't worry, nothing was spoiled for you. The naked men that wakes up in the forest in fetal position, jumps into the water and it is rescued by a Chinese fishing boat is a different TV show called "John Doe" and only had one season.
Thanks for the upload Vic! I came for Firefly and will be staying for Fringe...I think you'll like it. Lots of mysteries that don't get answered until later in the series, but they do all get answered eventually. And the characters are very likable once the show gets going - lots of humor too. On to the next episode...
The word "fringe" refers to the outside or edge of something, and in this sense refers to "fringe" events and ideas, which are on or beyond the edge of what we normally think of as possible and credible. The term "fringe theory" is often used for crazy ideas. Fringe is great... it takes you on a wild and at times heart-breaking ride but I think the ultimate resolution is very satisfying. John Noble as Walter Bishop has some fantastic lines. The plot takes many strange turns.
Bienvenue à Fringe! I'm glad to see someone reacting to this. I hope you stick with this one. The second season is when you start to understand the bigger picture and glimpse the overall story that connects everything together. The characters really get fleshed out and become more and more endearing as the show goes on. Also, I would stop trying to remember whatever you saw on TikTok. I don't think it was that big of a spoiler, in any case.
OMG! I have been suggesting this show to people for years and I am so psyched to see a reactor for it… I just came off watching your Firefly reactions, which were great and led to my subscribing to you’re channel and are again awesome which I’ll say here if I didn’t comment on any of them… Anyway, this show is absolutely fantastic and though it got a longer run, unfortunately towards there were some higher ups doing stupid things like they did with Firefly. But this show and its cast is another one that just clicks together with great chemistry from the get go and I’ll stop myself before I say too much, enjoy the ride. i should say thought that there are lot of hidden things in this show, discovering them is half the fun of it.
I watched this a long time ago, and then watched a few episodes. Since John Noble was Walter, it took me a few minutes to figure out that this is the same actor as Steward Denethor (Lord Denethor) from Lord of the Rings (Return of the King). The pilot was filmed in Toronto.
Props to your mom for helping you choose this series! I watched this when it was new and WOW!! It was freaky! xD lol, just jumping in now and from the look of things you've finished season 1 and are in the middle of 2, I think. I'll totally be stoked to watch this with ya! :D
SWEET! Fringe is one of my favorite series that has completed it's run (Along with Travelers, Warehouse 13, Eureka, Continuum, etc) And to think I was thinking now that Firefly is over she will probably do some drama or comedy show that isn't my cup of tea
Your Mom is a very smart person cause this is one of the best and most underrated Sci-Fi shows out there. Joss wasn't actually involved in this at all, but it's a fantastic show that you will certainly love if you can get into it. Much like Buffy season 1, the first season of Fringe takes a little while to find its footing but it's enjoyable the whole time while it's getting there. Hope you keep going with reactions for it! There aren't nearly enough on RUclips!
One of the best sci-fi TV series ever made. Thanks for reacting. Btw... Joss Whedon was not involved in this show. This one is created by J. J. Abrams who also created LOST.
I watched Fringe back when it first aired, really enjoyed it. I thought it was cool that two of the main characters were Australian (Anna Torv who plays Olivia, and John Noble who plays Walter), since I'm also Australian. So one day, I don't remember exactly when but it was sometime during the original run of the show, I was at the local supermarket, I turned the corner into an aisle and there's John Noble carrying a basket of groceries, walking the other way. I recognised him immediately, but decided not to bother him since he's just there to get some food or whatever, not to meet fans. Turns out he has family in the area, and evidently he was visiting them between seasons. Anyway, I'm glad you like the show already. It's been a long time since I originally watched it, so I'm looking forward to re-watching along and seeing what you think!
A really good podcast for this show is The Fringe Podcast... It found its legs around the second season, but they had an actual theoretical physicist as one of the main hosts, and they would discuss the actual "fringe science" (unproven yet hypothetically probable science) behind each episode. Most of the episodes are based on actual scientific theories that are on the verge of proving or disproving, and the show really does its work!
NICE! I love Fringe and not many reactors do it. I still have to finish the series myself (started the last season, but didn't finish it), so this might spur me to finish it.
Great choice, Vic. I watched this when it originally aired and remember thinking at the time the last two seasons were weak compared to the first three. I binge watched the whole series again last summer and it had been so long since I watched i had forgotten most of it. I enjoyed it all the way through. John Noble is terrific as Walter Bishop.
That’s because they had to wrap up quickly after getting canceled, especially with the last season. Things that were supposed to happen over a longer multi season arc got crammed into one. So they sped the plot along to get where they were heading, but took shortcuts and the season suffered because of it.
I remember that. I was just saying even the last seasons played much better than I rememberd. Watching week to week with long breaks made it seem worse than it was on second viewing. Being able to binge watch it improved it a lot.
Hi 👋 It’s my first visit to your channel so, it’s nice to meet you. You seem interesting so I’m going to stick around, at least while you watch Fringe. This is a really good series and Walter Bishop is one of the greatest tv characters ever created… well, he has a truly great actor as well. The character might not work so well with a lesser actor. I think you’ll get a lot out of the series and I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Good luck.
J.J. Abrams, not Joss Whedon. Also, happy to see there are is cloud overlay over the video. I tried your channel with Sandman, but had to stop when I could not see or hear it. Happy to be back with Fringe. And honey is not a bad word.

@Madbandit77 I listen while driving. I don't watch. I only reply when stopped. I drive for a living, so even a minor accident can be a big problem. I'm careful. My typing isn't as careful as I'm going for speed over accuracy.
Really good show. I've watched the whole series at least a couple of times. The last season got kind of out there and probably wasn't necessary. Still, you should like this.
Fringe also in this context means the edge or on the edge. You should also check out. The 1967 british series. The prisoner. Witchblade. Nowhere man. Orphan black. The 1st season of. The man from uncle
Walter Bishop is not in prison. Much worse. He is in an asylum for the criminally insane since that was the charge that was levied on him when his graduate student assistant died in a fire in his laboratory.

"Fringe" has some really wacky stories, but that's deliberate. It's the style they chose, and they execute it well. There are five seasons.
