    Just want to point out that he wanting revenge does in fact NOT prove that the allegations were true. Imagine if he's innocent but has his life ruined because of faulty allegations by Olivia. I'd want revenge in that case too :P Perhaps even more than if they were true! That said.. he's a scumbag XD

    First of all happy 2025 to you too. I'm glad to hear that we'll be getting a double episode reaction soon! One of the things that I love about Fringe is the intricacies and symbolisms, all those subtle details that take place between the cases and the personal lives of the characters, and how things from previous episodes affect future ones. Is like the essence of Fringe represented in the glyphs that they had between commercial breaks (the frog, the butterfly, the apple, the sunflower, the hand, the sea horse, the horn, the leaf, and smoke) For those who don't pay attention, that's all they are; but for those that DO pay attention, you have hidden details in each of them, and together, they form a character replacement code that spells a word in each episode giving you a clue about what the current episode is about, but in essence it is about looking at the world and things beyond the surface appearance of them, looking for patterns and connections that exist below the surface in order to understand the underlying nature of things.

    I don't think Spike was actually doing the disinfection. I think he was putting alcohol on his hand to numb the pain. I don't know if Spike actually knows what to do about burns, but he probably thought it would help. And it does, because after all, vampires have great regeneration, like Slayer, but it doesn't numb the pain. By the way, this book La Nausee is Joss Whedon's favorite book.

    They saved money on this since they hired the Ashmore twins instead of using expensive special effects to double the characters. You may recognize one or both as: Shawn Ashmore was Iceman in X-Men, Jake in Animorphs, Ged in Earthsea, and Lamplighter in The Boys (along with Joyce in the Quantum Break game) Aaron Ashmore was Troy in Veronica Mars, Jimmy Olsen in Smallville, Nate in Lost Girl, Jinks in Warehouse 13, John Jaqobis in Killjoys, and Duncan in Locke & Key.

    The actor who you told to clear his throat (Kirk Acevedo) just has a very low voice. It's not something he can fix. The acronyms: CDC - Center for Disease Control. They handle disease outbreaks. NTSB - National Transportation Safety Board. They handle plane crash investigations DC - District of Columbia (Washington, the capital, not the state)

    From what I understand, Glenn Quinn was still a positive and friendly person, just that his addiction caused issues like being late, or having trouble with focusing or consistency. It feels a little rude to say he "sucked" Please don't take this as me being angry, or attacking you, and I could simply be misreading what you meant(I'm not great with social stuff). I really enjoy your reactions and you've become one of my favorite reactors.

    In fairness S1 of Angel was very strong, of course with BTVS being the legacy show it was somewhat easy to create the alternative surroundings with characters from BTVS. Of course Aiden Quinn had a tragic death, not only in this show but in real life also. Doyle would have been a great character in later Seasons. Wesley being brought over as well just worked so well, as even though we see his slapstick side throughout, he is now very much part of the team with brilliant intellect and analytical skills. I understand why they had to have characters crossover characters such as Buffy, Oz, Spike, Faith etc, as this would bring the fans over from BTVS with a familiarity of much loved characters. Many episodes such as City Of, I Will Remember You, Hero, Five By Five/Sanctuary, To Shanshu in L.A. were brilliant, and as good as many episode from the legacy show. Angel in its own right is a great show, love the X-Files references again with Kate being called Scully by the Detective and of course she corrects him telling him Scully was the skeptic, it was Mulder who was the believer. The comedy moments in this show as well must be given great credit, as it can be subtle, but also blunt and slapstick that works so well. What's great about Angel, Cordelia and Wesley is their characters grow so much here, from being very one dimensional in BTVS. Gunn of course, the streetwise, street fighter, a brilliant addition as a character in the show. Enjoy S2 some great episodes coming up.

    Great reaction and great show. It's going to be interesting to see your take on the last season which was kind of divisive among fans when it aired. In my opinion, Fringe is one of those shows that benefits a lot from streaming. The long arcs tended to suffer somewhat due to the weeks or months long breaks between episodes and seasons. I watched it when it aired but my opinion of the show went up a lot when I binged it again last year at my own pace.

    This episode's title pays an homage to the novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" (retrospectively titled Blade Runner: Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? in some later printings) is a 1968 dystopian science fiction novel by American writer Philip K. Dick, that was the basis for the movie "Bladerunner". Seeing Peter and Olivia apart is though, maybe you should react to 2 episodes a week to see what is to come faster.

    The Muppets that play Jacob and Robert Marley (who doesn't exist in the Charles Dickens novel, he's made up so the two muppets can be used) are Statler and Waldorf, two old men who sits at the balcony at The Muppet Show and heckeling the cast, particularly Fozzie Bear for his "bad" comedy (hence Robert's line "leave the comedy for the bears").

  • @RebelCowboysRVs
    @RebelCowboysRVs 10 дней назад

    Yea, you miss a lot by not knowing more about the Muppets. Ms. Piggy has been chasing Kermit forever. So what would the kids look like was a question people had been asking for years. Gonzo has a chicken fedish. He looks at every one he sees. Sam Eagle playing the teacher is an American bald eagle an is an American patriot through and through. He is always talking about America. So thats why he said America an has to be corrected. Fozzy bear is a stand up comedian. Thats why the Marley's told Scrooge to leave the comedy to the bears. He also plays Scrooges first boss because his first boss in the book was named Fezzywig. There's only one Marley in the book. But they changed it to two. The Muppet show was a show done on a theater stage. In the balcony they had two old men heckling the show constantly. So they played the Marley's. Both because they are the only mean spirited Muppets, but also so they could have a young version of them doing their normal heckling at the Fozzywig party.

    "Muppet" is a cross between puppet and marionette invented by Jim Henson, who died suddenly in 1990. Disney bought the rights after he died. This was the first movie after his death, directed by his son Brian Henson.

      @TheMusicalBoy93 The British slang came from The Muppet Show, which Sir Lew Grade produced for ITV from 1976 to 1981. Henson's performers recorded the episodes at ATV Elstree Studios in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. They were syndicated to america from there.

    The two people asking for donations from Scrooge and his nephew were played by another couple of characters from The Muppet Show, Dr. Bunson Honeydew and his lab assistant, Beaker. By the way, that's all that Beaker ever says.

  • @ronfehr7899
    @ronfehr7899 11 дней назад

    One change that was done for the sake of the Muppets was at the very beginning of the story. In the book, Scrooge is partners only with Jacob Marley. There was no Robert. The two characters playing them, Statler and Waldorf, were hecklers on The Muppet Show, always deriding Fozzie Bear during his comedy act on stage. Fozzie played Fozziwig, a slight alteration from the book's character, Fezziwig, hence the reason for the past Marleys making comments at his expense.

    Michael Caine chose to play Ebenezer Scrooge as close to the written version as possible. Many movies do their own take on the famous story, sticking to its general spirit, but often alering details for modern audiences. This one is almost word for word just like Charles Dickens wote it.
