I don’t understand why people say season 5 is terrible. It’s really not, what it is, is different. It’s a wonderful season and nearly everything from 1-4 pays off.
I agree. Season 5 is very tightly written, the episodes much more tightly entwined with each other than other seasons, and Season 5 has emotional depth that other seasons don't have. It's a great send-off for the series, executed better than other series tend to be able to do.
I love season 5!! It is divisive (honestly so is season 4), but I'd say more people like it than dislike it. And while S4 could have been the end if needed, S5 really gives a beautiful ending to the series. Also glad you jumped right into S3 today! I love this episode. And Henry. And Anna is just amazing as Olivia is slipping between the two sets of memories.
Season 5 was their plan for season 7 (which they had loosely planned a 7 season show), so they basically jumped to their final season, because they KNEW it was their final season. Instead of straight cancelling the show, a FOX exec and WB exec and a car company petitioned to the network and studio to at least allow them to properly close out the series with one last season. So they essentially skipped 2 seasons of story arc, had to give a bit of exposition for the important details those would have built had they told those stories. Also, every season finale from s2 on, they wrote as a potential series finale in case of cancellation. They'd film an extra bit of scene to add in case they got renewed (such as Fauxlivia crossing over into the Blueverse)... Remove that scene and you have a happy "we made it back with Olivia!" ending.
8:10 it’s actually the other way around, what red is doing is an retaliation against blue. Our Walter is the one that started this war, he was the one that punch a hole in the universe that would leading to the decay of red universe; it doesn’t matter if it intentional or not. What Walternate is doing is trying to find a way to heal his universe, retaliations against Walter
season 5 is great. and also necessary for the story. so yea, they definitely didn't just make it for no reason. my only complaint would be that it's a bit shorter.

I agree. It’s unfamiliar and strange but ultimately very rewarding.
Season 5 is fantastic and should definitely not be missed! But it does have a different tone.

You must watch season 5: RESIST!
Stop right there - I Love Season 5!
I get how it is a love it or hate it season, but I am on the love it side 🙂
I really like Fauxlivia. She really brings out how emotionally stunted and wounded Olivia is by comparison.
Great opportunity by the actor, to be able to play two different characters.

Season 5 is almost like a different show, but I personally still love it.
Don’t let people put you off season 5. It’s worth persevering with.
