After everyone giving Noel grief for flying to Houston for a Longhorn Steakhouse steak. Noel says, "Hold my beer... I can do better, I will fly to Everest Base Camp to eat KFC." Love it!
Makes me want to go to Antarctica to see if I can get a McDonalds at the South Pole

dont tempt him he will do it.
Doesn't know much about mountaineering, so he starts with a ride to Everest. No need to start small.
Hmmmmmm . . . . . . . .
Walked up to base camp in 1993 with my friend Deborah. At that time Luckla was unpaved. The Everest view hotel was closed at that time. Afterwards we walked out all the way to Jiri roadhead then bus to Kathmandu. Then we got an unscheduled flight to Lhasa and ended up driving back to Nepal stopping at Rongbuk Monastery and walking to North base camp, also unpaved and inaccessible in those days. Like it was for you this was such an amazing experience. A few months later at Piedrahita in Spain I achieved my best altitude in my hang glider of 14300 feet. I remembered that I was still 3000 feet lower than the highest bed I slept on up near Everest!
I trekked to Kalar Patthar in 1990. In fact it was Christmas Day. An amazing experience. We stayed there for about 45 minutes taking in the stunning panorama of mountans around you before heading back down to Lobuje for the night. It is somewhere I will never forget.
For a brief moment I was worried, until the more logical part of my brain kicked in and said "he's narrating the video; that's something he could only do after the video's been filmed, so obviously he survived to be able to do that."
Makes me think of when I've just started watching a series and I'm nervous the main character is about to die.. then I remember.. wait this is the mc... he wont die
I went to all these place on foot when I was 18. Best experience of my life. The himalayans have some of the most beautiful views I have ever seen. Stunning glaciers, breathtaking valies and at night the most stars I have ever seen
I wholeheartedly agree.
Gabriel Traveler I must say I enjoy both of your videos
I 100% agree!
I travelled to the China side of Everest Base Camp in 2005- got to spent 2 nights there and to see the sunset twice at Mt Everest.....there are no words.
You are the boss of all aviation Vloggers. An incredible exhilarating film. You knock the rivals out of the park with this beauty.
Wouldn’t say boss..
Son, you are no longer a RUclips vloger. You're a legend! Amazing.
Noel, I'm glad the experience showed you humility. In away, if you hadn't experienced any issues, you might have come back assuming Everest is somehow docile. You proved no matter how easy modern life makes the journey, Everest is not to be ignored. Proud of you sir.

Never underestimate the power of nature again....
That was amazing
Wow, great video, it was almost like being there, the way you shared your experience, even the dizzy camera shots at Base camp, the look of trepidation as you flew through the cloud, the anxiety in your voice as you narrated the flight to Lukla from base camp. What an amazing journey for you and for us the voyeur. Well done Noel, great story telling.
The pilot knows where to fly but he can't go through the clouds because the winds can be extreme inside a thick cloud like that. He knew what he was doing.
That is definitely not the main reason why you do not fly into clouds in mountainous terrain!
I'm sure he's done this many times before. Still doesn't make it 100% safe.
@@johannesb. yup, thats true. If you for example lose control inside a cloud, you will most likely hit the side of the mountain.
Instrument meteorological conditions (IMC), which results in controlled flight into terrain (CFIT) is the leading contributing to helicopter accidents in mountainous terrain.
Kobe Bryant's pilot knew what he was doing too.
This is probably the best video I have ever seen, well done, sheer joy to watch.
This is by far my favorite video of yours, Noel. Fantastic quality and so captivating. Lets hope that if you do this again, you'll be able to get a few photos of Everest!
I've watched the majority of your videos, but never comment. This was amazing Noel
What a video sir, those are the ones that are so unique and you will never forget!! Amazing!
Noel, I think I have seen all your vlogs/vids, this one for me was the best, the expectation from your heading lived up to its title, the photography you captured was fabulous, your commentary was in your own way cool and calm but with effect, loved it in every way, thank you Noel. 🙏
I binge watch Noel Phillips like an addict. Love from Kenya 🇰🇪
Amazing video! Really. It was exciting, a bit scary, and a lot of beautiful views. This is probably one of your best videos to this date! Thanks for sharing and i'm glad you're safe.
At 14:45 the guy holding his camera open isn't even recording. He's either going to be very disappointed or is somehow streaming his screen lol
This is so epic! You chose the perfect music for it! I'd have been so scared up there though in a helicopter - they've always terrified me at the best of times!
Total admiration for the helicopter pilot - Noel's vids just keep getting better - Doesn't get much more than once in a lifetime than this - Thanks for experience!!!🤗🤗
Amazing! Brought a tear to my eye. You’re a legend!
Glad you made it back safely, although this was very dangerous, It's experiences like this that make life worth living, well done, amazing video!
and I completely get what you're saying at 18:32, Although I haven't done anything like what you've just done, I remember coming back from Nigeria to just be sitting in my living room thinking, I was in Nigeria yesterday, IDK why I get so much joy out of that feeling
That was an amazing video!! Kudos to you for risking your life to eat KFC on Mount Everest!
And to think, this all started with mystery flights from the UK.
Wow! Just...wow! Another amazing video, thank you so much. To stand on Everest is something I dream of. Thank you for taking us along for the ride. I'm glad that you made it back down the mountain, and back home, safely.
Man, this is living! Recently you've been my greatest inspiration to take on crazy projects that no one else could ever imagine doing, hopefully I'll be in Lukla soon! Definitely at the top of my bucket list 🖊
Noel went to Everest to get high
no one like its at 69
His highness
Great video. That helicopter ride must have been once in a lifetime experience. That KFC probably didn’t taste that great though lol. Great pilot, the real MVP. Thank you for uploading. Thank you for visiting Nepal.
Great stuff. Been watching since the 10hr vids. This is one of the best.
Hello Noel, USA / DC here, This is One of your BEST Videos! Thank you for shearing your lovely adventure trips with us!🙌👍🙏🏻
This better be your most viewed and liked video ever! Hats off to you, the captain and those on board! It was heart stopping watching this on my laptop on RUclips and I won't lie saying I know how you felt when those clouds closed in on such high altitudes but the truth is I wouldn't tell unless I have experienced it myself!
Thank you for paying for, flying and uploading such an experience Noel! I'm a big fan and this video is up there with the best all time!
I wish to take this opportunity to honour the lives lost on mount Everest and to show respect to climbers who summit Everest or even reach Base Camp!
Absolutely fantastic trip, I bloody love what you are doing. Your channel is now the main thing I watch! You're giving me inspiration to get back into crazy journeys. Cheers dude.
I’m so glad you went to base camp (and made it back!)!! Great video as always!
I've watched a few of your videos over the last couple of weeks, but this one earned a subscribe button. Amazing footage, and I am jealous of the experience, however scary it may have been. Great stuff!
By far one of the most enjoyable videos I have ever watched of yours Noel, What a once in a lifetime thing to do! Very jealous.
Loooove your Nepal Series! It's been the best and most fun to watch yet.
What a stunning video! Thanks for taking us all to Base Camp with you!
Amazing amazing. Thank you for sharing!!! Kind of gives a glimpse on what those on Kobes Helicopter confronted when they were encompassed by fog (RIP). Erie how the sky was blue above and the clouds came rushing in below. Bravo!
Your a very lucky guy to able to do stuff like this. Really enjoyed the video, watched a few of yours now and enjoyed them all. Keep it up!
Your unforgettable Experience of base camp Mount Everest the views and the helicopter flight
And your fantastic Narration , was so enjoyable and of course envious, well done Noel 👍 Ivor an Irish
Simply WOW.
After testing positive and confined to my bedroom away from my family, its videos like this that really gives you a boost. This has to be one of the best, the music that matches the moment's, Simply epic.
If you ever have a spare seat 😉
It took me a while to get to this vlog. If I could give you a thousand likes I would. This is one such trips I wish I had taken in my younger years and watching this made me yearn to travel again. This Vlog is wonderous and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. The views through your eyes and the narration from your heart, for me, makes it the best vlog in many years that I have watched. Thank you NOEL
Wow, thank you!
I’ve got to say, this is my favourite vlog so far, it had it all, only bad thing is it wasn’t longer.
What an experience.
Wow! Noel! This video clip is a hell of the best clip I've ever seen. I feel like I was on the chopper and mountains myself. Thanks massive for sharing though👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍
One of the best vids ive seen on youtube in the last 12 months.
Thanks for sharing your trip, absolutely amazing to watch I'm still shaking with fear x
I've climbed to that height a couple if times, if you do it in 2 or 3 days the altitude can still get you, so going straight to that height in a helicopter must feel weird....would love to take that trip.
This is your best content yet Noel, incredible!
Wow, wow, wow. Stunning scenery, epic vlog. I want to go to base camp!
I just discovered your channel and I’m loving it!!
Amazing. Thank you.. That’s something for a bucket list
Your content is absolutely amazing! I'm inspired.
That's your best video. I'm currious how your family reacted when they realized what you went through. Holy Crap. BTW- the pilot flew from the hotel to base camp twice, and probably does that the next day.
Absolutely amazing. I appreciate your personal feelings about what was happening.
Noel your videos are awesome and they just keep getting better! Congrats
Really cool video Noel. You don’t generally get trip reports like these - a unique trip reporter! Keep up the great videos 👍
Amazing video. I trekked to base camp as a student, a guy passed us on his own without taking the altitude very seriously. The weather changed near base camp and his altitude sickness got too bad, helicopter couldnt get him out and he died. Altitude is no joke
Really enjoyed this Vlog! Amazing!
Such an epic video... thanks for posting!
Very good video. Thank you. Love the scenery.
*epic music in this video it was like i was watching a movie* 👍👍
One of your best videos Noel. Great watching.
Awesome Noel! Loved the epic music and mountain views!
Thanks mate 👍
One of your absolute best. Well done!!
Loving your channel recently Noel. Thanks and please keep bringing us more of the same.
Wow what an adventure!
Some scary moments but it's something you'll never forget..
Fantastic Video!
Another fantastic vid from Noel Phillips. I’ve made my way through about half. All well worth watching ✅
Another amazing and genuinely interesting video Noel. Love your work.
What an amazing background music with that nature
so awesome Noel, can only imagine what that was like!! Great video!!
EXCELLENT VIDEO NOEL!!!! Thanks!!!
Amazing. Thanks for the great video!!
Stunning video! What an amazing experience. A truly once in a lifetime trip.
Noel hat was incredible trip! I want t thank you for providing this video, you rock mate!
That was great, most enjoyable, i appreciate you sharing that. many thanks
This must rank as one of the best, if not the best, youtube video I have ever seen ... great pictures and great commentary.
I am surprised you were not given an option, so it seems, of an oxygen bottle !
Seing your other passengers companions and their smart phones ... I am always amazed that they are filming in portrait mode in such a wide open landscape ... they are certainly no film makers or photographers.
Thank you.
Genuinely got goosebumps watching this.. absolutely beautiful scenery especially at base camp. Can’t believe how blue that sky looked. Would really love to see this entire journey (from Low Cost challenge through Lukla to Base camp and home) as one long film as I have thoroughly enjoyed the whole adventure. Music was superb accompaniment too.
I get strange feelings when I see Lukla, it’s almost like I need to go there as it feels so familiar.. hope I get to go there some day.
Not sure how you will ever top this Noel, but what an adventure. 👍👍👍
Absolutely loved this one!! Breathtaking but notably terrifying at the same time!!
Wow!!! Love your videos! Just breath taking
Tremendous video. Really glad you're ok after that unnerving experience of the low clouds.
Absolutely awesome video !!!
Hi Noel - what a life changing experience! Thanks for the video! I too had my thoughts circle over to Kobe when viewing it. Sad and exhilarating at the same time!!
In a helicopter, the pilot sits in the right seat. The look of relief was on the passenger's face, not the pilot's.
As a mountaineer, I can tell you that un-acclimatized exposure to high elevation (hypoxia) produces effects very similar to severe alcohol intoxication.
Wow flight of a lifetime so pleased for you sir, love your channel keep them coming.
Once again OMG what an amazing adventure. How could one not be moved by such an experience. 😱😀
that was a very good video and tour, that is one you can tell your grandkids of your journey to everest, amazing Noel
I love your regular videos, but this one... this one is really special 👍
I think this beats Barra and North Norway....what a way to discover yourself with loads of emotions. Great video again Noel
Amazing! Thanks, Noel.
I hope one day you get to climb mt everest! Smashing video dude
It's one of my dreams to go to Everest Base Camp. Amazing video.
Thanks for another AMAZING! video!
Loved the drama. I'm sure a life-changing adventure. Love the comment "the face of the pilot said it all" (as you were sitting directly behind him)
Love your video's Noel, your down to earth and real and I enjoy the adventures, I'm starting my own soon but I'll be sure to mention yours when I start. :)
Great video Noel. As always.
I have enjoyed this video. Wonderful scenery. Himalayas are amazing. Thanks for this video.
8:54 classic ‘Brits abroad’ !😂
I love and watch all of your videos, but this one was exceptionally good! Thank you for bringing us along on the journey!
Great video you deserve so much more subscribers
