Kreepy Pasta Yeah. You coudn't turn Dimebag loose on a poor, innocent, untested guitar. Too cruel. Poor thing wouldn't know what hit it. Would just disintegrate. Jeez, one of the SICKEST ever.9

Don't think he was on drugs. I think that's just how he is. I have heard multiple people that knew him personally say that he his one of the nicest people.
I met him in 2000,very nice guy, and I am a huge fan of his, he was incredibly humble and kind, one of a kind guy! I don't think he knew he was so respected and admired! treated me like I was his friend! Easily the best metal moment of my life!
Xavier Sánchez I wouldn't say that it's about the speed. I just feel that, if you listen to the bass-tracks of Cliff's songs, they don't sound too good, at least not to me. If 'Anesthesia' was Jason Newsted's song, it would probably not be as "good".
A man with such passion and heart for a playing the guitar is amazing to me you could tell he really loved playing man and all of a sudden it was taken from him it's sad and he was such a cool guy I wish I had a chance to meet him
I give Pantera major props for sticking to their guns and staying heavy when so many metal bands wimped out in the 90's. Pantera basically said "fuck that" and got heavier with each album, so kudos to them! And those signature grooves, tones and whammy bar tricks just made Dime that much more unique as a player. It's all the more reason he is sorely missed. Lord knows Pantera would've reunited and gone back to putting out kick-ass music if Dime were still around.
That's What a Real Rock Star looks like with his fans! Dime knew who the importance of his fans and made sure to show them just how grateful he was for the support that made it all possible. I couldn't imagine a better life. Influencing, and inspiring millions of fans and musicians a like in the pursuit of self expression thru the evolution of music. He forever seared his mark on the Rock/Metal world! In other words..... That Dude can Fu[k!n Shred!!!! R.I.P. Dime
7:27 Honestly even more than the ripping I'm impressed with how genuine he was with his fans. Even as that one guy that was talking for a long time, the fan still had Darrell's full attention and interest, and not the fake kind either. Now I see what people are talking about when they say Dimebag had a golden heart. Truly genuine.
There's Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Darrell Lance Abbott. These men stand together as pinnacles of greatness in their fields of music. I'm so blessed to have seen him and Pantera live.
I miss you Dime! Feel like I lost a brother I never met, years later the gaping wound still hasn't healed, even when I'm watching you on videos and listening to your albums, it'll never heal, hurts more now than the day you left cowboy from hell for life!
Holy fuck, he could absolutely rip those harmonic squeals into existance. I can *barely* get the highest one to sound out 5% of the time. What a legend.
Embrace Dime for all he offered. Such a rare breed of guitar player. Better yet, such a quality down to earth guy. I miss him so much! ROCK N ROLL will live on. Thank you DIMEBAG!!! \,,/

Will never be another like him or even another capable of making sound like him or having playability like that or even charisma he was not supposed to leave us so soon
The audience is standing there like, "OMG, seriously!" with their jaws on the floor. Dime as always effortlessly delivering some of the sweetest sounds to ever come from that instrument. I am sure that day is forever etched in their memories as a day when they basically stood shoulder to shoulder with a musical genius. What a lucky bunch.
I never got to see pantera live. I did get to see dime and vinnie with damageplan maybe 4 months before we lost him. Unreal...they came back out and played "a new level" and "walk" for an encore. I'll never forget it.

What an absolute legend in all respects. I was on my way home from work on the freeway when news came over the radio that he had died. I cried man, I cried. Shame, damn shame. Too soon, and too long ago. Still today so many years later, each time I press play on any album gives me that same feeling as the first. Not many albums can do that.

I assume there's part of this guitar clinic that wasn't on camera where dime was actually teaching and showing...maybe then would be excused not to be fully throwing down but to stand there with a clipboard and a dumb look on your face in unexusable. God’s getting a band together, and Dime refused to join without Vinnie. I still remember June 22 like it was yesterday. I cried, but at the same time I was happy that you could be reunited with your brother in a better place. RIP Vinnie Paul RIP Dimebag Darrel
I took lessons from Darrell 1983 - 1984. It was the time he was recording Projects in the Jungle. Sitting right there, and watching him was an honor. He played the Ride the Lightning guitar before it was painted (sunburst) through a little amp called a "Mouse". How he would make that little thing scream. I would be like "Play over the Mountain lead, Eruption, etc." He could do it all. RIP Bro.
Nope! Its devastating that hes gone but there are still many other amazing players out there today! Some of which are relatively new to the scene. Tosin Abasi is definitely a guitar hero within his own rights. Same with Jason Richardson, Nick Johnston, Jairus Mozee, Jabari Johnson, Andy James, Plini, I could keep going on all day with amazing new players. Sadly though, despite all of that, we will never be able to hear anything new from Dimebag and his beautiful soulful, emotional music. RIP to legends like Dimey, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Allan Holdsworth, Paco de lucia, Roy Buchanan and many more. Their timeless contributions to the music world will never die.
Well..I read both differently, semantics I know but bare with me. In Alex' statement the point of view is there WAS room in Megadeth for both, but Dave just didn't want Vinnie. Simon says (sorry had to do the pun) that Vinnie coudn't join because there was no room for him at the time, as Nick Menza was already in the band.
I cant believe how cool this guy was... seems humble and easy going.. for being one of metals' most influential musicians in the history of the world... i like him even more.
i hope that guitar was 18.
phahaha I laughed at that nice joke man xD
+xXxCodemasterxXx Hell yeah. getcha pull
Kreepy Pasta Yeah. You coudn't turn Dimebag loose on a poor, innocent, untested guitar. Too cruel. Poor thing wouldn't know what hit it. Would just disintegrate. Jeez, one of the SICKEST ever.9

Al Young, Very well put. RE-SPECT 👊
A TRUE METAL HERO!!!
Uuuh I am actually really fucking annoyed that I never got to see him live. Was only 3 when he died. Annoys me more than anything else. Now Vinnie as well. I really want to see Rex and Phil so I can at least have seen half of the band.
The background is warping as he distorts reality with the power of his metal.
Thanks to the internet, Dime will live forever!!!
You don't need the internet, just the music and you can get that from any music shop.

Epic guitarist, yes...but above all, he seemed like a staggeringly good dude.
Blessed to have met him, one of the nicest people ever.
Marcellius Tiongco Wow...very lucky indeed, my friend.
me too, incredible man! met him in 97, never forget it!

I'm sad that I was only a young child when dime died, I really wish I could have seen pantera play live.
Every time I hear his solos it blows my mind. This dude was insane. I wish I could've seen Pantera in concert.
Vynyster It was hard work :D
i seen them before i know who they were , and thought wow that guitarist can play!
I got to see them in Nola & In H-Town.Saw them about 4x’s I think.Amazing Show Every time!!The absolute greatest was In Nola at the State Palace Theater.Prong opens & then Sepultura,Pantera headlined!!Amazing show & you could tell Sepultura & Pantera were friends.During Sepultura’s set they had About 8-10 Tribal Drums across the front of the stage. All but Igor Cavalera put down They’re instruments & started doing this amazing tribal drum Jam in between songs.Pantera joined them & they were all amazing that Night!! I went to the tour in 1994 when they came around to STL and got a pick.
Every time i hear his solos, my God, not even close to petrucci alternate picking 😂
My favorite part was the way he interacted with his fans while signing autographs. Very cool!
Looks like on drugs....
Don't think he was on drugs. I think that's just how he is. I have heard multiple people that knew him personally say that he his one of the nicest people.
THat is genuinely how the guy was to the end. Whether he was drunk, stoned or sober. Always a great guy to fans. Always.
I met him in 2000,very nice guy, and I am a huge fan of his, he was incredibly humble and kind, one of a kind guy! I don't think he knew he was so respected and admired! treated me like I was his friend! Easily the best metal moment of my life!
Probably one of the coolest people ever born on this planet
The greatest metal guitarist ever imo!
Morris Kramer he truly was
Right after zakk wylde
GreyCigs so wrong, lol
not even close
Matija Cale who's better?
It's the little things he adds and such a personality he was, what a dude.
MackdiddleGaming
I want to belive that Dimebag is jamming with Cliff Burton on the other life, two dead gods.
Hell yeah!
Yeah, but I have to say that Dimebag was 100 times better with the guitar than Cliff was with the bass.
I don't think so, Cliff wasn't so fast because the Bass strings are stronger, so, he couldn't play as fast as him.
Xavier Sánchez I wouldn't say that it's about the speed. I just feel that, if you listen to the bass-tracks of Cliff's songs, they don't sound too good, at least not to me. If 'Anesthesia' was Jason Newsted's song, it would probably not be as "good".
I was thinking the same thing.
A man with such passion and heart for a playing the guitar is amazing to me you could tell he really loved playing man and all of a sudden it was taken from him it's sad and he was such a cool guy I wish I had a chance to meet him
Marcus Segura if he was your friend you would never have a dull day and i wish i got to see him
he died doing what he love at least
Marcus Segura don't worry, he can play all he wants in metal-god heaven
I met him in 1993 after Pantera show in the U.K he was a lovely guy,i am just glad i saw him play i was living in Brazil when he was killed.
Mysterywhiteboy78
This is phenomenal guitar playing. I watch this video all the time and there are just no words. It’s so perfect.
Still to this day, I shed a tear watching videos of Dimebag. 12 years now.
its hard no to man.

You're not alone

The crazy thing is when they first started their music was different and became heavier. More of the power metal in the beginning.
Almost another year without him. Fucking sucks that he's gone.
Mike Lariviere dimebag was a fucking shred machine
That's What a Real Rock Star looks like with his fans! Dime knew who the importance of his fans and made sure to show them just how grateful he was for the support that made it all possible. Psycho Holidays solo is so badass!!!
YES, my friends say that Psycho Holiday is the worst song off of Cowboys From Hell, but its my favorite :D
Get new friends.They haven't got a clue.
I know, I should get better friends
One of his best solo ever

Stevie ray vaughn is pig music don’t put him in the same category as pantera
I miss you Dime! Feel like I lost a brother I never met, years later the gaping wound still hasn't healed, even when I'm watching you on videos and listening to your albums, it'll never heal, hurts more now than the day you left cowboy from hell for life!

he was a precise beast for playing the guitar. Sublime, fast, creative and generous. He was like a Hendrix of heavy metal.
Holy fuck, he could absolutely rip those harmonic squeals into existance. I can *barely* get the highest one to sound out 5% of the time. What a legend.
Tears in my eyes watching him signing dude

RockTheSix 73 i would argue it was his humility and down to earth quality that he was given his godlike abilities.
He looks like Jesus for a reason.

Miss You from Brazil!
Something else I admire about him is the effort he put in even the smallest things like this for his fans. Godspeed, Dime!
That there is a full on assault of the guitar and maximum deliciousness on every note played. Not many guitarist can make the instrument talk he was one of them.
Will never be another like him or even another capable of making sound like him or having playability like that or even charisma he was not supposed to leave us so soon
This his why he is the best guitarist that ever lived.
Very humble person... interacts with the fans so well... very down to earth despite his status... i wish he lived more
The audience is standing there like, "OMG, seriously!" with their jaws on the floor. Dime as always effortlessly delivering some of the sweetest sounds to ever come from that instrument. I am sure that day is forever etched in their memories as a day when they basically stood shoulder to shoulder with a musical genius. What a lucky bunch.

People in the crowd are probably in awe that they're within 5 feet of dimebag darrell. There's no way they could be bored by this.
Epic musician, beautiful human being, it just isn't right he is gone, the world needs him.
You know it must suck to be famous and I'm sure that shit gets old, but the last 4 seconds of that video you really saw his sincerity and genuine love...remarkable...

Thank you so much Dimebag (RIP) for the joy when I listen your music.
The Pick is a tiny part of the Beast, and so it has supranatural qualities, a whole other level above super.
That simple pick was enough to give us awesome music.

He played the Ride the Lightning guitar before it was painted (sunburst) through a little amp called a "Mouse". How he would make that little thing scream. I would be like "Play over the Mountain lead, Eruption, etc." He could do it all. RIP Bro.
You can't kill a god
Zakariah Lafreniere exactly
I hope all those people there who were that close to him appreciate and cherish that moment since not everyone's so lucky
Ahhh the Dean from Hell, Love you and miss you Dime R.I.P brother
He ripped so hard and he seemed like the coolest nicest guy. RIP.
the last guitar hero.
of the 20th century
The Cantrell Project wrong
Dave Mustaine is still alive
@@drewpeterson9236 Not a Dave Davidson fan, eh?
dime and dave mustaine are my two favorite guitarist...they both has such a unique style that is fun to hear

Dear Friend👍🌷🎊💥💥💥💥
Imagine a Dime and Mustaine in the same band... S:
Well..I read both differently, semantics I know but bare with me. In Alex' statement the point of view is there WAS room in Megadeth for both, but Dave just didn't want Vinnie. Simon says (sorry had to do the pun) that Vinnie coudn't join because there was no room for him at the time, as Nick Menza was already in the band.
Jeffrey Dohnger for real wtf
Let's all just be thankful he didn't join Megadeth. Metal would not have been the same without Pantera.
JamesLR Lol Dave would kick him out because he doesn't know how to keep a lineup.
Austin Perrelle the level of roast right there was astonishing my friend
I cant believe how cool this guy was... seems humble and easy going.. for being one of metals' most influential musicians in the history of the world... i like him even more.
quick, whose better at guitar, dime or God?.........trick question fuckers, dime is god !!!
Aaron Davis I pray to Darrel every night for a portion of his skills.
