I really needed to hear this ! :) I’ve had my heart and head settled in one guy from church and I always thought that he would be the one, that somehow God would put us together. Recently I noticed that this guy was striving for someone else and It came clear to me one service where God spoke to me and let me know that I needed to be patient that he would answer my petitions soon, to just wait on him. Later on that night we had a night service for the youth group and the word was so clear but it wasn’t something I wanted to hear. I really had set a whole future I would talk to God about this guy. But God later showed me that his plans where different that he has a different plan for both of us. And I had not noticed that I was putting my happiness and joy In this one guy but not God. THANK YOU ! ❤️
I’ve been single most of my life, just because I knew I wasn’t ready. Honestly I’m so greatful I’ve been allowing myself to grow and heal and learn more about myself. I think it’s very important for every person to grow through singleness weather that’s 5 years or 15. I think it’s a pretty wonderful thing.
Tony Rowan yes we do have some things to deal with in our personal life. I was trying to say just be aware that, that other person can never fix unless you recognize it and learn and heal from whatever. It’s a huge thing that God is in the center on it. Marriage is Not easy it takes a ton of work but it is a lot harder when you don’t have God in the middle of it.
Princess Tatyanna it can be super long but will you listen to God if he’s asking you to wait. I’m not saying say no to all the guys just beware of where you are at. I know what I’m looking for and I’m sure God when the time is right will whisper to me and say “hey go talk to him or whatever he says” Obey him and lean on him, understand his timing is everything. I don’t want to be person in a situation if I waited a little longer would I have mest up Gods plan later down the line where he could have given or blessed me with my future husband. Along this topic, I would HIGHLY recommend reading "When God Writes Your Love Story" by Eric and Leslie Ludy. It is super inspiring and has a lot of things that I had never though of but immediately implemented because of how true and amazing they are. Anyway, would highly reccomend, especially if you aren't in a relationship yet or are in the start of one because they talk about things that you should think about before investing your heart.

The pagans believed that people first came from a being that was both male and female in one body (at least for heteros). Christians rejected this pagan notion as they believed in the OT origination of man and woman, you know Adam and Eve. Of course, the early church also didn't throw birthday celebrations nor did they celebrate the birth of Christ because birth celebration was a pagan ritual. it's normal to feel lonely at first. but once you fully open your heart to let God in, He will fill in the gap in your heart. Remember we only need God to complete us really. Don't give up. In our weakness and lowest points, God is our strength
Just remember some people take a lifetime to find freedom in God that you have so much time to do! Some people have to go through so much pain and heartache just to realise that they never needed anyone and being alone in Jesus will help them ultimately find themselves. That’s okay because that’s the testimony they will have to minister to others. However, God may not have planned for you to go with all the wrong men at the wrong times pulling you further away from Him. The plan He has in you may be much more urgent because He’s giving you a period of singleness to focus on His calling for your life. Once you step into that vision and keep your eyes focused on the greater picture, I believe it won’t be too long before He adds someone to your life that is running in the same direction as you! Someone who you will compliment very well if it’s a desire He placed in your heart. Maybe the reason God did not want you to find someone is because He wanted to be the lord of your life first before He blessed you with someone who could help fulfill a similar vision to you! Maybe it took a little longer for the two of you to really grow into becoming who you are because you need to be very strong & independent mentally, physically, emotionally etc. in order to fulfill that calling! When the two of you get together everything will multiply so don’t worry about it so much. Trust that God never wants to hurt or dangle something in your face that you can’t have. He is actually trying to protect you from many things that would hurt you. He wants your heart to be pure for your future spouse as a testimony to other girls waiting in this season. I understand the hurt of waiting and what it can do to your self esteem & it can really change how you view God, others and yourself. BUT maybe God wants to work specifically in that area of your life - being content within yourself because he made you beautiful and you essentially don’t need another man to fulfill you. Trust and thank God for this time you have to yourself because when you get married it will be for a lifetime so there’s no rush or competition with anyone else, no timeline when or when not is the right time - the right time is Gods time!!
