- Part 90 - Making our way to Midgar where Diamond Weapon decided to launch an attack!
Now you have to just wait on land for quite a while there while he SLOWLY makes his way over there...
I obviously cut it so you don't have to wait for me so long.
Anyway, Diamond Weapon is not hard at all.
The only dangerous thing he has is his countdown attack which you can so easily be ready for since you see ' 3 - 2 - 1' .
A Big Guard will prevent enough damage from that if you didn't kill him before he was able to launch it.
He can protect himself from physical attacks, but when he's ready to launch he will be opened for attacks.
Before then, just spam some summons and preferably lightning attacks like bolt 3, trine or whatever as such.
Before you go into the battle, I recommend putting on various Materias you'd like leveled as he grants 3500 ap which is quite a lot.
Even more so if you're a bit of a daredevil and uses scimitar for triple gain or something with double gain!
Of course, they do have few slots^^
Also, don't forget you can steal from him ;-)

Also the underwater area is just another thing that makes me believe this is probably the best ff world map ever imo
No probably about it. Why they moved away from this level of options to explore I will never know. All other ff after 7 just felt like they were missing this experience making them a downgrade.
I remember when for some reason I couldn't fight Emerald weapon in the water and got it confused with Diamond weapon. I was like "Oh this isn't so tough." then I went underwater again and seen Emerald weapon in the water and was like "Shouldn't you be dead?" then got wtf pwned.
Lol what’s funny is that they could’ve easily made the other weapons just as difficult or made emerald and ruby just as easy as diamond. It’s all in the programming. I wonder if you’ll fight all the weapons in the remakes.
@@maxmatte7649 Of course we will. I’m quite sure they’ll even go so far as to add Sapphire and some Remake OG WEAPONS in part 3’s enemy roaster.
The Final Fantasy franchise is arguably the best franchise, for turn base.
They flew all the way from the city of the ancients to fight diamond weapon...are they really normal people ? Cant wait to see that badassery in the remake when they fight the weapons

@@rikiforever420 Inflicts Silence to the party unless you have a Ribbon or Added Effect+Seal Materia combo in your armor
Best way is to have your character immune to Silence cast the Enemy Skill White Wind right away to heal your allies and restore HP at the same time.
The game is piss easy anyway

@Zashtheman You can get his ultimate weapon after the rocket is shot into the sky, and is meant to do damage, depending on his Mana level
Diamond weapon was never hard for me, that's why I'm so surprised it's the last weapon fight in FFXIV. I love how they all look just like ffvll versions too.
Its not the last fight, thats Ruby weapon.

I have always been able to beat him, but i have always wondered what would happend if i just dont stop him from getting to midgard.

I actually liked the way Diamond Weapon looks and all compared to the others....he looks more like a bada&% and was terrifying to me to just be coming at you like that...I was like...Nope, I'm out...These weapons are going to look totally cool and terrifying in the remake though...

Do you have Cid's ultimate weapon? It's super easy to get and is based off of magic damage, so i made him my mage. I do about 7500 per hit with it once i got it.
What makes you think that? None of the weapons have magic damage. And the old man doesn't give it to you until third CD.
If you want proof that it doesn't do magic damage, all you have to do is use it against Ruby Weapon.
I got it in disk 2, im using the UK version. And its not magic damage, it's based of your magic power or something. heard that in some guide.
Hm, ok. I've only played the PAL version and he doesn't give it to me unless I'm on third disc.
What you're looking for is it's based on your Mp. The same way Ultima Weapon is based on clouds current health %, Cid's weapon is based on current % Mp.

Oh, ok. Well i have a bunch of materia that adds Mp for him, uncluding the MP BOOST which is 10 or 20% i think.
I beat that boss it's easy bec I was 54 level and I using umilta and meteorite break limit I beat him abt 10 min but I love ff7 it's soo great game I beat this on ps1 I love play n play again

it just stops there. it won't do anything unless you trigger the fight.

i defeated Diamon Weapon.. Started disk 3.. Cant find ultimate weapon?

I came here to remind myself of diamond weapon after watching Kingsglaive, my god how terrible the graphics were in this game...i could've sworn it was much better when i played it 2 decades ago.
Technically back then this was like cutting edge graphics, so that's probably why you remember it to be so good.
Either that or nostalgia, but Kingsglaive am i right?

The ones in Rebirth are clearly “baby” Weapons and are forshadowing Diamond, Emerald, Ruby, etc. for the third game.
