- In this video I'm sharing 5 Creative uses for Betterpress plates. I will be using the same Chic Merry Christmas Betterpress plate for all 5 Techniques. I love finding many ways to use my tools. By finding more techniques to use with them I think it makes them more valuable and we get to be more creative with them. Some of these techniques will work better for some plates than others.

Love all these fantastic ideas! I just got my betterpress letterpress two weeks ago. Haven't been able to play with it a lot yet, but enjoying everyone's experiments using things in our stash! I never thought of using Vaseline! Love all of your ideas! Excellent video, very clear and precise with instructions. Thanks so very much! I originally was on the fence on purchasing the betterpress letterpress. I've done couple of impressions and when I saw first one, I did an out loud "Omgosh, no way, this is seriously beyond my expectations!" I live alone with my dogs, they looked at me wondering who I was talking to in my craft studio. So glad I decided to buy it. Thanks again for sharing your talented ideas!

Very cool way of using the plates. I have never seen the Vaseline technique
I’ve never seen it with a Betterpress plate. At one point I stumbled across it used with a stamp. I’m not sure where and have been wanting to try it with the Betterpress and was so thrilled with the way it turned out!

Really interesting Vaseline technique. (And I love the way your card turned out! Beautiful work!) Have you tried lift ink with the alcohol ink? Could be interesting.
I have used the lift ink with stamps and have videos using it but haven’t tried it with the Betterpress yet😊

Great question and no. Betterpress can be used with glimmer but glimmer cannot be used in the betterpress. Apparently they are slightly thicker and can break your Betterpress
Excellent video. The aura foiled card is stunning! I also loved the grunge look of the alcohol ink. Finally thanks for the tip about using clear embossing powder on the silver ink. I have this plate & have inked it with silver but felt something was lacking. I think the embossing will do the trick!

When you did the hot foil card, did you heat it or just press the foil
Thru the Better Press?
I used the Betterpress plate with my glimmer machine to heat up the plate and then ran it through my die cutting machine for the pressure
