Eind '95 was jij voor WT mee aan het kijken voor een bassist, nog voordat Sharon meedeed, zelfs nog voordat ze een drummer hadden, toen hebben wij het daar bij KGB nog over gehad, dus je kende ze al voor '98.
Serieus. als jij begint te praten krijg ik altijd van die beelden van 'toen' in mijn hoofd, daar moet je eens mee ophouden, daar wordt ik veel te sentimenteel van. lol :P

Nee hoor, dat lijkt me erg onwaarschijnlijk gezien Jeroen de bassist altijd deel heeft uitgemaakt van deze groep, ook al toen WT onder andere namen door het leven ging :-) En heb ze echt pas in Tjechie ontmoet in 1998 :-)
why not use line6 helix whit all that tuning stuff instead? maybe it could be easier live ????

Hey Ola. Congratulations on your firs interview, it was interesting to watch and atmosphere was so nice, that i felt like i was sitting with you. I dont know if you will read this, but i think you can add some things to future "Coffee with Ola" to make it even better.
1. If you interviewing guitarists, you can ask them to show some small solo/riff which can be challenging to play, like 'Betcha Can't Play This' :)
2. Also, if you like the idea, you can ask your guests to take some cap, t-shirt or whatever and sign it for your followers and make some "contest" for best/funniest comment or answer for some question or smthg like that, and the best answer/comment wins that thing. I think it definitely can give you more followers and views. It can also be in the end of interview
3. You can also choose 10 small and interesting/funny questions and aks that same questions your every guest in the end of the interview. For example - riff or solo; 3 best musicians for him/her at present time; worst/weirdest experience with fan; best experience with fan; etc.
4. If your guest has different language from english or swedish you can also add "Word of the day" stuff, it definitely will be fun.
5. Keep it going and just be yourself. You know we love you, Ola (no homo :D)

Maybe let the guest plug in their guitar, so when your talking about a song or a riff, he or she can play it on the guitar.

Ola, couple of suggestions. Would be cool if you had plugged in guitars in your hands while talking. When he said "Bebop", I instantly wanted to hear him play some and thought that would have been entertaining. A little jam session between you or favorite riff your interviewee has written would also be pretty cool. Otherwise, loved it. Oh and get Jensen.

Let me be sincere and open about how things went today .....
I had a rough ass day, im a bit stressed and tensed up with my Thesis work, ive been working 15 hrs continuously today since 5 AM (Svensk Tid), and I just arrived back home an hour ago....and to relieve and relax myself, first thing I wanted to do, is to watch this first episode of coffee with Ola, forgetting that I need to make dinner and lunch for the next day.....I was looking forward to it since last Saturday...… and what really, really made my day, was how my weird ass question at 20:20 made so much sense to you at that moment… ,hahahaha, I cracked up so badly and laugh really hard, …. it made me fucking happy …
The whole episode was awesome , I absolutely loved it!!!.... Listening to Ruud's view on how he grew up in his younger days and his comment on being able to play all types of styles but not being good at it, made a whole lot of sense to me, because i'm partially the same ,a jack of all trades on all styles, although I still practice on the scales :P ….. I like the minimalistic approach!!!
Please keep it up!!! and I deserve a shout out for shunting out my weird question, hahahaha !!! …. Just kidding, lol, but thanks a lot for starting this new series!!! Its really worth my time!!!

I really enjoyed watching this video. I have been listening to Within Temptation a lot since 2001, and seen them live in 2013, so it was great to see how down to earth Ruud Jolie is. This video isn't a new concept, but it's the most enjoyable one of the interview/chat videos i have seen, so i hope you keep them coming.
I can relate to liking battle scars on your guitars! I think having some wear and tear gives it more character, because once that happens it's pretty much guaranteed that that's the ONLY guitar that looks just like that in the world. Makes it more special.
I've never heard of this guy or his band and I watched the whole interview. I don't even like Star Wars but I enjoyed watching you guys discussing it. You're a natural interviewer Ola! Looking forward to watching more of these.
Cool segment, man. Amazing how changing one wall created a whole new set in your room. Next time make sure the guest knows where the camera is rather than the monitor so they can make eye contact if they want to. I'd really love to hear some guitar playing, too.

19:10 - My theory is that it has to do with the electronics. Less wiring, less noise, better signal, and no other pickups (magnets) influencing the sound of the bridge pickup.

I have yet to hear a band that is mega heavy, that doesn't have Cookie monster vocals. I like a good balance of originality, some technical prowness, musically interesting, with soul and meaning.

This is really great stuff, Ola! And it's pretty important because this kind of projects helps me personally to keep the music personified. I mean, when I was starting listening to music - it was all connected to persons, I knew name of every bandmate from bands I liked, I had my icons, but later, when my musical taste was largely expanded, and around ten bands became tenS of bands, and also adult life hit with its crazy pace, so it became pretty difficult even to remember names of the musicians not talking about knowing their biographies etc. So these videos allow to bring a close look at the bands, to know them better personally (as much as it can be) and so to immerse myself in the creative space more. Thank you again Ola!

Hey Ola, I like this new series idea you have come up with. It's cool to get to see you interact with other artist and not just have to speak into a camera lens.
I LOVED this interview Ola. THIS is quality RUclips material as so many of the things you guys talked about brought back so many memories of my experiences starting out on guitar and discovering "my tone". Like you guys I realized eventually that equipment was secondary to my playing skills and technique. That's not to say that I don't love trying out new equipment but I also definitely revolve around certain favorites that DO IT for me while being able to adapt quickly to any amp, guitar, or pedal that gets me close to what I need in terms of tones.
The bonus Star Wars section was also awesome for Sci-Fi geeks like me. I hope you do a episode reviewing "The Expanse" (the nerdiest sci-fi series out there right now.) It would be cool also if you did a review of the show "Vikings" or the newer comedy version of that called "Norsemen". That would be fun to watch. Even better....you should contact the producers of "Norsemen" to see if you can get a funny cameo appearance in that show in their upcoming season. That would be EPIC.

Great video! Your FAQ's have set the bar pretty low so I wasn't expecting much, but this truly was something to watch for real. I had very little idea about Ruud, but he was great quest and almost hour went by flying, I really did like hes down to earth no bull crap attitude, as well as Olas similar take on this interview. I'm looking forward to your future interviews, keep them lenghty so there is a good chance to hear something sincere from the quests. And keep 'em pro, leave the monkey business to your FAQ's, would balance things nicely, Thanks!
