My son and I just discovered your videos. We really liked the quality of your filming and the areas you have paddled to. Some we have been to ourselves. Thanks for sharing.
. I own a prism that looks pretty similar to your voyager. Love that boat. I do mostly Everglades long range paddles among other Florida trips. We have to tote all our water for however long the trip is and I always wonder if a voyager would have been a better choice. You do a great job on these videos. The extra effort it takes to get some of your shots is stellar. Well done.
@@Saltfly I’ve never padded a prism, but since it’s shorter and wider I assume it’s slower and more stable. Better for some people. Interesting, an Everglades trip is high on my bucket list. I was under the impression that a kayak would be more appropriate than a canoe. But maybe I’ll rethink that. Glad you like my videos and thanks for the comment.
This was really remarkable NH! The fall colors, the moose, just … the woods themselves were breathtaking in that time of year. I did miss seeing the littlbug Sr. 😅 Those were really nice sheds. Thanks again sir. NQU
Thank you sooooo much for this video. I'm from the south and only learned of the boundary waters last year. I've been dreaming of an epic canoe trip ever since my 5th grade principal, Mr. Thurston, from Jefferson elementary in LaCrosse, Wisconsin introduced me to canoes some almost 40 years ago.. He shared his 2 week-long trip down the Wisconsin river and I've been dreaming of one for all this time, but have never found a place I felt was worthy of such a trip. I have now found the place and it's this place! I've seen lots if videos of the BWCWA, but most are during the summer which I'm not a fan of due to the bugs. This video is exactly what I've been looking for! I would like to plan a fall canoe trip here and seeing this video is all the confirmation that I need. Thank you and maybe in the future I might like to pick your brains a bit about this place. I'd love to just get lost up there, cast the fly rod, and sleep under the stars for a week or two. Thank you soooo much! Absolutely what I dreamnt it would be.
@@vangmountain You are very welcome and I sincerely thank you for the great comment. I’m glad that I am able to offer you a bit of inspiration and also maybe some encouragement to finally have that awesome adventure that you’ve been dreaming of. The BWCA is an amazing place and I’m confident that you won’t regret it.
beautifully done! Thanks for sharing. I was "there" as a young boy and as a 17 year old. Long canoe trips in this magical peaceful land. There is nothing else quite like it. I wish I could return. Pretty much too late for me now. May it always be so there, that peace and quiet and ecological harmony remain in perpetuity.
Nice filming, been through most of that route a few times. I'm sure some one will write that your not supposed to take anything like antlers but I also would and do. You peeked my interest to do a trip back through some of those lakes, thanks!
@@donalddakota8069 Thanks for the compliment. The BWCA is considering a wilderness area not a park. Bird hunting is allowed as is shed hunting, before the crash of the moose population there was also a moose hunt. Antlers are not permitted to be taken out of Quetico Provincial Park just to the north…. Glad I could inspire you to get out on another trip.
@@nemadjihermit Your right, I get the Canada parks stuff stuck in my head, I remember the moose hunts back when the population was high. I usually do head into Quetico but there are some BW areas I would like to go back to.
Always a rush when I watch your videos. Did my first solo trip about a month ago now. Up on Sag. I actually mentioned your channel, saying it was an inspiration to me. How close was the bull moose at the 36:00 minute mark? It looked super close. Always a Great watch for me. Mik

He didn’t come close enough to make me nervous but during the night I had a number of them around that were getting a little too close for comfort.
A lot of work with the two camera sets. Much appreciated natural sound. Very relaxing. Nice clip exchange with day paddlers. Rare moose shots very well done. That last bull was a little close for comfort! Been years since we’ve seen one but it’s always special. I’ve never seen a mink up there but plenty of beaver…especially back in creeks.
@@Rollinghillsfarmsmn It does feel like a lot of work at the time, but I’m getting accustomed to it and putting it all together once I get home makes it seem worth it. Not up north again until next year - but this will do. Miss it already. This looks like a real nice trip. See you again next year BWCA, be thinking about the BWCA until then………BWCA is just beautiful!

@@benjaminamthor6367 Thank you very much for the kind words, I’m glad you enjoyed it. I saw the moose on Rush Lake west of Poplar. But just go to any of the burned areas and scout around for moose sign, that’s a good place to start if you want to see moose.
Well done video summary of your trip. Thank you for the extra time and effort you put into capturing the various shots and views. The timelapse sunset at about the 25-minute mark was spectacular. Another great video. Awesome Moose sightings. Water levels in some areas looked low. Was the fire ban in place when you took this trip? Is this your last trip for the year? I'm thinking about doing a variation of your LIS south trip on one of my solos next year. Keep up the great videos!!!
