Hi Kenny, during the first two weeks you said you wrote policies. Did your company help you with leads for it? I had to find a person to sell to and it was hard. I could use some suggestions on how and where to get leads.
Hi when I first started in insurance I was with State Farm. My first leads came from my warm market and social media.
Is there a significant use of math in this career? I’ve never been great at math..
Not at all, I was never great at math either!

Hi Stephanie, congrats on your new career! I had 3/4 of my license before I started in the industry so it wouldn’t be much pressure. Life & Health should take you 1-2 weeks!

Do you recruit people to work for you ? I like how informative you've been. I just received my license and I'm not sure how to get started because I don't have a mentor. The company I wanted to work for just threw a lot of information at me but I'm still lost 🙄

Do you have more info on carrier appointments? I'v stated working as a marketing coordinator for an independent broker and I've increased sales so much within the last 6 mo he needs to hire more agents. I'm now interested in starting my own company and need direction. He is only partially willing to give only bits of advice be he doesn't want me to leave but he doesn't want to pay me what I'm worth. Hopefully you can help! Thanks in advance!

5 months, after that I knew I needed to leave to open my agency!
@KennyJTV Follow up question: I want to start as an Independent agent but really need a steady stream of income. Can I ask how much I can expect to make as a captive if i start as such just to learn the basics?
Depends on the agency. I was making 40k base + commission when I left.
Do you sell life and health insurance as well?

@@KennyJTV I Just passed my Fl exam on the first go. but do to being in the military and out of state i had to get a new license with NC but all my docs say FL. Do you think that will be an issue when I try to get the state license?
