    I do think we could tune up this strategy as follow:
    Signal to Buy:
    Candles cross over the 9 EMA… BUT… a simple cross is not enough. We need to avoid ranging periods and whipsaws. So once a first candle has closed over the 9 EMA, we will wait for a second candle to close over the EMA before we enter the trade. The second candles is very important for confirmation and needs to respect the very important following rule:
    The candle has opened above the 9 EMA, it has also closed above the 9 EMA, and it is very important that the second candle is also green. If the candles opened and closed above the 9 EMA, but it is red, do not enter the trade, as it’s a good sign that you may get stuck in a ranging market. Not so good for scalping.
    Signal to Sell is just the opposite, of course…

      Great stuff Elwood! You are 100% correct...staying out of ranging markets is the key to trading any moving average strategy. Much of this can be avoided by adjusting timeframes; solid ideas to establish confirmation. Thanks for watching and contributing!

    I suggest you trade this on a demo first because all the bars above or below the 9 ema suggests a trending market, at least as often the bars will be straddling the ema and you will lose your ass on entries that don't follow through.

    Thank you for your Educative videos .. If there is one thing I have learned in recent months it is to remain calm, especially when it comes to investments in cryptocurrencies. Learn not to sell in a panic when everything goes down and not to buy in euphoria when everything goes up. I advise y'all to forget predictions and start making a good profit now because future valuations are all speculations and guesses. Bitcoin going up is good for the entire market and you can not tell if it's going bearish or bullish. I Would say More emphasis should be put into day trading as it is less affected by the unpredictable nature of the market.I have made over 31btc from day trading with Harry’s Dent, insights and signals. in less than 2 months, this is one of the best medium to backup your assets incase it goes bearish...

During these periods, one can trade forex pairs on 4 hour, 30-minute, and 5-minute timeframes. For risk vs rewards, this strategy is designed to catch significant moves. While you can use a 1:1 for a better success rate, it may be best to use a minimum of 1:2 or build your trades based on market structure. 😀

    Great breakdown of the 9 EMA strategy! I’ve been using a similar approach in Bitcoin trading, and my weekly earnings have been between 65k and 75k. Too many fake signals with cross over strategy. Knowing supply n demand zones and trend lines is better entry and add to position with 9/20 strategy

    • @howtotradecom
      @howtotradecom  4 месяца назад +1

      Hello Chans, thank you for watching! The number one challenge facing crossover traders is understanding market state. Trading crossovers in compressed, low-volume markets is a surefire way to be faked out repeatedly. Using trend lines and identifying supply and demand zones can certainly help mitigate these issues, as can understanding the role liquidity plays in the overall dynamic. Basically, it's tough to trade crossovers in flat markets!

      Thanks for watching Sid! The #1 key to any trading strategy is to apply it at the correct time. That is done by becoming fluent at determining market state. If you try to apply trend strategies to a flat market, you will get crushed...if you try to apply reversion strategies to trending markets, you will be demolished! It's all about understanding when to apply a strategy...that's how you reduce the number of fake signals and cash in with the good ones!

      Hello Joe! Thanks for watching. Yes, the EMA is a lagging indicator. In fact, any technical tool based on price data is a lagging indicator (this is most of them!). Remember, we use technical tools to place price action into context by determining if a pattern is present and the probability of a certain future price behavior. In that way, devices like the 9 EMA can be very powerful! Again, thanks for watching and tune into a live stream at HowToTrade.com!
