Thank you for watching Jeff! To be honest, it's all about your preference. In my opinion, the triple moving average crossover is great for shorter time frames and intraday trading. For day and swing trading, the 9/20 is a solid approach. To be honest, either will work in either situation; one of the benefits of the 8/13/21 is there isn't a pressing need for another indicator for confirmation. On the other hand, the 9/20 lends itself well to confirmation (RSI, stochastic, MACD) because it doesn't have the third "anchor" MA. Think this would be unreliable strategy in the 1 minute chart alone, unless you enjoy getting stopped out often and getting diced up in the meat grinder. Better to start on the 4 hr - indicators are more reliable. Also, you can take profits halfway through the move and still have a nice profit.

The first trade example with the EUR/USD 30 minute chart is the conventional method of trading the 9/20 EMA crossover; it doesn't involve using RSI for confirmation...we go over that in the second example! Think this would be unreliable strategy in the 1 minute chart alone, unless you enjoy getting stopped out often and getting diced up in the meat grinder. Better to start on the 4 hr - indicators are more reliable. Also, you can take profits halfway through the move and still have a nice profit.

The first trade example with the EUR/USD 30 minute chart is the conventional method of trading the 9/20 EMA crossover; it doesn't involve using RSI for confirmation...we go over that in the second example! With the RSI confirmation, one actually knows whether to buy or sell before the crossover takes place....that is one benefit of implementing a confirmation device like a momentum oscillator. Wait for the market to be overbought or oversold, then look to act accordingly with the crossover.
