Today, I'll show you how I use the 9 Day Exponential Moving Average to find option trading entries & exits! Using this indicator will allow you to spot the beginning and ending of a trend. Make sure to go ahead, add it to your charts and start back testing!

Saw your video last night.. after continuously trying to find a trading system (candlestick pattern, harmonic patterns, Bollinger bands, rsi+macd, etc etc. ), I used it this morning. made 40% on AMC Calls and 20% on Walmart puts..
Not only did I make money, but I was also incredibly disciplined. No trades until that confirmation on both timeframes!

Thanks for confirming 9 EMA on 1 & 5 Min charts. I’ve been option scalping with price action first then confirm with 9 EMA. 9 is still lagging, so I only use it to confirm trend or consolidations. Once price breaks out of ranges or consolidations, I scalp the options in and out quick profits on high volume stock or ETFs. Thanks for sharing.🤑

I love your videos! I've learned so much from you! Easy to understand and right to the point with excellent examples.
I tested this videos claims the past two days both on nvidia and nikola. One thing I love about this is that there is a failsafe by watching both 1min and 5min charts. It works very well. As I warmed up, I would exit as I got comfortable. My last trade I was down 22%, but neither timeframe had crossed the 9ema. So I said, my profits are locked in, let’s just see what happens. Well, that 22% down turned into a 45% gain.
I have executed 16 options trades, all 16 have won with a 12% gain minimum. Getting more comfortable identifying entry and exits but I really like this.

Hey Vincent, used your technique to gain 205$ on a single option on CRWD. Using the 1 min and 5 min chart I got in at 0633 hrs for 3.45 and exited at 0641 hrs at 5.50 on 5.11.21. It as a sweet trade with good upturned trend. Thanks, buddy.

great tactic. I used this method and it worked just as simple as that. It great that you focus on spreading the wealth, in this case, the knowledge. It's also straight forward and not long winded.

No but not because it doesn't work. The 9 ema is money especially when the market has momentum. I trade Futures though and I use a different indicator from the 9

Excellent guidance. Use this to enter but you can add a faster EMA like a 5 to use to exit nearer the peak. Same principle but use a confirmation on both charts using the faster ema as your exit. That will get you closer to the peak. Look for a close below whatever faster EMA you pick.
Brian, when using this strategy, what would you do if you encountered a gigantic fast price movement, seemingly out of nowhere? I occasionally see movements like that on different charts.

I just came across your vids on using 9 EMA. I've been using 9 & 14 for a bit. I wasn't however using 2 consecutive bars on 5's for entries. I trade NQ futures primarily . I'm back testing using your strategy and so far it looks like it has potential. I'll let ya know. All the best !! Dave

Good afternoon, Thank you for making that video. I have watched it multiple times. I have changed my strategy base on the 9 EMA . It has work very well. I day trade stocks/equities. What I am trying to do is create a filter with Trade Ideas to show me stocks that are above the 9 EMA. Do you know any filter shows on the stocks above the 9EMA?

What sort of scanner would one want to setup to find stocks that are priming up for this sort of move?
Quick question. For example, you have two consecutive green candles above the ema9 on the 5min chart and then which two candles do you look for on the 1min chart since there will be 10 candles within the span of the 2 5min candles that covers 10 min? Do you look for the first 2 candles in the 10min frame or just two in general?

Thank you for the video and strategy. Did you say to enter and exit when both the 1m and 5m charts display two reversal candles on the other side of the 9ema? At times, it seemed like you were showing just 1 reversal candle on the other side of the 9ema. Thank you for the clarification.

Hey Vincent. The ALGO must've put you on my radar about a week or 2 ago. In any event, I am glad it did. I just watched this video & compared your "EMA" thesis to a SPY trade I took earlier today . I've been using the 9EMA albeit not very effectively. Today however I noticed some things that actually line up with your thesis. Actually, I'm realizing I could've been a little more pro-active on my entry than I was. I missed the early morning entry as I was in Physical Therapy, and only returned home about 40 minutes after Market opened, so I waited for a PULLBACK to the 9EMA on the 5min. I entered at around 11:35ET, Think I couldve gotten in earlier (i.e., 11:15ET). Anywayzzz, thank you for the daily analysis, and insights.

AWESOME VIDEO!! Very easy to understand. I do have one question as a newbie. Is this method meant for selecting an entry of an IN THE MONEY option contract that will allow you to ride the wave up or down and hit your strike price? I am trying to figure out if this would be profitable with an AT the money or OUT of the money strike price? Maybe there are other videos that you have made that I need to watch first.

For this type of strategy, just pick anything. All stocks move up and down. Pick 3-5 stocks that you watch every day and you will learn how they move and become confident in your ability to understand what is happening.
