@@sammiebeeyah8070 Sammie, you cannot learn scalping(or PDT in general) quickly. Anyone who tells you otherwise is very likely lying to you. Scalping (and PDT) requires a very high level of mental discipline, near flawless order execution, great understanding of what markets and products to choose to scalp, understanding the specifics of these markets and products, significant experience with understanding the price action/indicators of the market->product you scalp, and a fanatical adherence to protecting your capital-accepting losing frequently without it messing with your psyche-sticking to a rigid plan(plan will be based on loss target and the market->product). A note on market-products: most American equities follow SPX/SPY almost to the letter. HFT/Algos are trading precisely on the second to second movement of SPX/SPY. IMHO don't bother with anything, on a given day, mimicking SPY. Find something in play, try a product not connected to SPY or just go play SPY itself.
You want to do this? Start practicing and learning. Use paper trading, take advantage of videos like this, books, learn and learn, month after month after month. You have almost no chance of being profitable without first obtaining significant, months and months, experience. And when you start trading live, most of all, at all cost, learn to lose with grace and a resilient outlook. Pick an amount you can lose (frequently too) that you can be ok with (for example, I can live with losing 45$ or less per round trip). Position sizing and intelligently chosen stop losses will be based on 45$. Ultimately, even if you're in the minority of profitable every month scalpers/PDTs, you will be losing 45$ A LOT of times. You damn well better mentally be able to lose 45$ many times a month else even if profitable you'll be doing harm to yourself in the process. Good luck

Thanks to both SMB Capital and Ryan for this video. When I first started trading I mostly scalped using a 1m chart and it typically worked for me. A lot of times the next price level where a security will change direction just seems logical to me.
Lately I've been trying to swing trade, and I'm struggling with that. I've heard Bella say on a number of occasions that as traders we should play to our strengths. I've definitely discovered that this is true, and while I still intend to work on my swing trading, I am going to keep the primary focus on the scalps because it's become apparent that's where my edge is.
As always, thanks for the video.

Its feels good to know there is a lot of guys out there hitting some big numbers. For me, I have found scalping to keep me almost always green while I work on other bigger plays and getting better day by day with lots of screen time. I think I have finally found my style and will soon be able to check off the 'consistency box' and then began to get bigger. Thanks SMB!!

After a terrible 2022, shell-shocked financial backers have a lot to think about and losses to recover from. An expansion report and a wealth of other data did little to alter assumptions that the Central bank would likely keep raising interest rates regardless of whether the economy slows down. This implies that portfolios will experience more losses during the first quarter of 2023. Great topic!!! I scalp only first 15 minutes at the open. I use ORB/D (1m, 5m or break of the entire range) Signals: technical level break( premarket H, L, YL, YH, YC), candles like (doji, hammer, engulfings..), above or below VWAP and averages, premarket direction often gives me a direction at the open, volume gotta be elevated for me especially to enter inside the first minute. My main signals are coming form LEVEL2 ( big orders sitting on a ask or bid can indicate potential break, T&S accelerating, most transaction going on a ask or bid, look if orders going above or below bid/ask, big prints, notice if price steps down/up and taken quickly, volume profile-notice if more volume done at specific price can indicate a big move, refreshing ECN, hidden buyers/sellers can indicate a move). BUT, before that stock has to have a fresh catalyst, high RVOL +2, just be in play, and clear levels from daily, weekly, and premarket to play against. Additional factors i have to know: float, short float, inst. ownership, ATR. One question i always ask my self is, HOW MARKET PARTICIPANTS VIEW THIS CATALYST AND POSITIONED? Trading is easy if we have a system and stick to it. Take care guys!!!!

Recently discovered this channel, and I find the content so helpful.
My favourite scalping strategety is channel trading. Taking quick .10 to .15 gains midday on small caps. Stocks that have put in their range and are consolidating in a channel such as $3.50 to $3.25. I mostly do this on stocks that are barried in intraday longs stuck from the morning session and usually every attempt to break the channel is met with inventory on the offers.

I'm happy to hear that you guy's like the scalping strategy. I've gravitated more towards being a scalper and a lot of traders laugh at it. I use prior days VWAP with big RVOL along with options flow to tell me if I'm right or not. I have my lines up from the previous big RVOL day's VWAP and look for large blocks of calls at least a week or 2 out with high Delta. When the Delta is up in the .90s and they start selling I look for the acceleration to slow down, usually when the Delta gets down to .50s/.60s near one of those VWAP lines for a nice liquid bounce. The time doesn't seem to matter as much for it as the Delta, for me anyway.

something that helped me learn level two reading is watching the times and sales pass by also.
set up three or four time and sales charts one for smaller buyers one for medium size buyers and one for the big buyers.
this is a technique that has helped me see the difference between the real moves and directions in stocks and know whether or not its a consolidation type pullback before the real power starts to move a stock further in that big buyer direction.
AMZN recent break out on monday was a perfect example of this scenario explained.
      post any questions!
      keep up the hard work!

Great technique as long as you have the right tools and understand level II plus TS reading. Couldn’t apply this technique if your broker doesn’t offer direct routing, level II, and most important hiding those big sale orders!

Sammy8446 Shorting sudden spikes .. More importantly , it’s the rules that must be followed . I never trade pre-market , I never trade past 12 pm , I never trade right at the open ( you gotta let certain patters form ) , I never trade more than one stock at a time .. I never trade stocks that I am not familiar with ( never trade stocks that you see popping on a momentum scanner ) and i never get long , always short .. Every trader is different I believe , you must find what works for you , and the way to do that is to eliminate all the reasons that caused you to lose money in the past and establish some golden rules for yourself that you would never break .. Once you develop enough patience to wait for the right set-ups and develop enough discipline to execute your strategy and follow your rules , it will be impossible for you not to make money .. 👍👍

I freaking LOVE to scalp! I am currently in your DNA program and have made some scalping style trades the past couple of weeks. I use the 1 or 5 minute time frames and scalp breakouts above or below key technical levels.....ascending & descending triangles, bull & bear flags, rising & falling wedges, major support & resistance levels, ascending & descending trendlines, etc. Scalping is the technique that makes the most sense to me personally. This video was fantastic! I have only been trading the morning and sometimes the mid day sessions because I work a 3rd security job, so I am only getting about 3-5 hours of sleep per day right now. I believe I could make a good living using this technique if I had real capital to trade with instead of using a simulator. Trading is what I love, so somehow I must find a way to do it full time. Thanks for everything I have learned from SMB up to this point!

Hey Matt nice post I too love scalping and your right it makes the most sense I use the 3m not too fast, not too slow so am right in between your two time frames lol. Here's the key for making a living from scalping we have to build our trading accounts by all means. I did a review off my trades if I was trading a $20,000 account and split that taking 10k positions so I can trade once a day for the week i would be averaging $175 that's $3,500 a month give or take. So we're on the right track its just going to take longer scalping a small account into a larger one which is why my tax refund will be directly deposited into my trading account lol. Good Luck brah wish you the best.

Awesome video. Ryan makes a really important point about seeing stacked offers or bids that are being taken with speed on the tape. I used to wait for those stacks to clear before entering but would get poor fills with market order. If I believe the level to be important, and I see speed on the tape taking those offers or bids out, I now join the party and hit the buy/sell button. It's a little counter intuitive, but I believe the risk/reward is better

Finally a video describing the art of scalping which is the style of trading I developed into. I scalp on the 3m time frame and for me price has to be above two key levels the premarket high and the stocks initial high if above prior days high its a bonus and I wait for a pull back no more then two lower lows or a red bar ignore I then put out a buy limit order 2 cents above the high pivot point this has been the only profitable method i have achieved throughout my young career I can't pick bottoms, I can't trend counter trend, I can't do days lows, or any kind of reversal plays my trading style is solely based on momentum within the first hour of trading. Thanks Mike great content as always.

I'm a retail trader in Long Island. Just found your videos and I am really enjoying them, I just started trading spent 3 months on a sim and was profitable but blew my first real cash account. Looking back I can see my issue was psychology (deviating from my strategy because of emotion). How much would it be to join these classes? I feel like having a profitable pro trader to talk to in person and learn from will help my confidence in trading. Thanks for the content!

Nice video, thanks guys. Scalping is also very effecting with 2 min and 5 min ORB. 5 min ORB is pretty popular. I personally prefer using scalping for first 45 minutes after open.

I scalp with 1,3,5 min timeframe using the macd/histogram and rsi. I also use a ribbon of 5 ma’s and mostly pay attention to the 21,50,200. Histogram is by far my favorite indicator and can lead to extremely profitable scalping, especially in an overall uptrend or a 1 or 4 hour swing. I find confluence between those indicators on sale and differing time frames

I swear there's an excellent information in this video . Since yesterday I am digging deep in SMB capital RUclips channel There's a great knowledge there. Thank you for Sharing your experience guys. Hopefully you can make more videos on Scalping its looks to me as an excellent method for Trading. Because it's in and out strategy without giving much stress if you know when you enter and when to exit .
