So glad you picked up Killers of the Flower Moon! I grew up about 30 minutes from where this took place and my grandfather was actually born in Pawhuska around that time. I'm glad it's being brought to light after how much was taken from the Osage.
Art work on books is an added bonus.... it sounded like the stories are as well
I agree that Yumi and the Nightmare Painter Kickstarker edition is sooo beautiful, BUT the way the font is oriented on the spine is all over the place. It goes left then right and I have to twist my head this way and that just to read it when it's on my bookshelf. xD
i just want to say-- i love that you had your hair in braids. i just started baldur's gate 3 and chose braids because i love the way you do them. lol
I love hardback and beautiful books, but I can't afford them so have started frequenting my library more often and purchasing used books online (there's no nearby used book store.) I still get to read the stories this way so I'm happy. I'd urge those who usually buy from the big retailers to try used and library books. They have their own charms :)

I really love your channel! I think you do offer different kind of videos (irony that I post this on a Book Haul lol) than other channels that are also great), you are very articulate in your reviews and opinions, funny, genuine and seem like the kindest person, which really makes you my favorite to watch.
Even if I’m not always super interested in a subject, it’s a pleasure to listen to your opinion.
The variety of videos you post is just really neat, I do hope you’re not over working yourself though ;)

I have the BBE of The wolf queen and love it. They do great work. I can’t wait for Powder Mage in October. Immortal Longings FL edition I was excited for, but ended up not liking. So that was an unhaul. BoneSmith FT I started and put down. Hopefully I’ll pick it back up later.

I also need to get to A River Enchanted on my kindle this year as I have heard great things about it. A fire endless got good reviews as well. I actually bought a physical copy of Bonesmith after your great review and I'll be diving into it in October.

For Devine Rivals, I am still looking for the special edition covers. They sold out right away and second hand the prices are just so far out of my budget right now. It’s a beautiful novel though. I truly hope you enjoy it!
First of all, I’ve only just stared watching your channel and I’m loving it so far 😊 I’m so glad to hear you liked A Lady’s Guide to Fortune Hunting! I loved it when I read it and I think it’s a little underrated among readers of historical romance, probably because there’s no spicy scenes in it. Ialso love spicy historical romance so no shade there lol I just think that might be the reason that this book flies under the radar. I have the IC editions too and they are so pretty! Also yesss, agree with everything about The Broken Binding! They are so amazing with their customers, and their editions are just stunning. I’m so glad I made it to their Tier 1 sub recently!

I didn’t like Belladonna but I feel for you with FL. I just quit FL last month because I have not been liking the scarcity they have been creating, the way their sales operate, the skip policy, and the book choices this year. They should really make sure they have enough of a second book in a series to sell to all those that have the first book. Loved A River Enchanted and it’s sequel.
Yes, definitely read Killers of the Flower Moon! The Wager by the same author is also amazing. Your husband and his Dad would probably really enjoy it as well.😊
I'd recommend all of David Grann's books. The Lost City of Z was fascinating, and the movie adapation was quite good as well. He's also written some very good longform articles in The New Yorker.
The audiobook of Killers of the Flower Moon was very good too. There are 2 or 3 different narrators for the different sections, one being Will Patton.

I found Ship of Magic (by Robin Hobb) this weekend at my local bookstore in a $2 case. I haven’t heard much about the series other than it being really dang good, so I figured it’s worth a shot to buy it lmao

With the publisher refusing to do an audiobook for the third installment, it sounds like they are being difficult. It's really frustrating that there are so many situations where corporations are stifling creativity and are making it more difficult for people to get their work out there when they should be helping them do it. These types of problems prevalent in the music, movies, tv, and theater industries have definitely entered the book industry.

There are used bookstores online. I know it's not the same, but it's something. I feel ya, though. I'm often at the mercy of thrift stores who think alphabetizing is for wimps 😂
@ehdrake there's a used bookstore near me that is so cramped 2 people can't even walk the same aisle.

I don't know if you've read and/or reviewed this book before but I recently started reading City of Storms by Kat Ross. It's a fantasy with an interesting magic system. I think the book is still free on Amazon.. I would love to hear your opinion on it ❤ if you get a chance.

I think I prefer the toad on the normal cover of Thornhedge.
Killers of the Flower Moon is a pretty good book, but it WILL make you angry.
It's so frustrating when they don't do the entire series in audio. I think it should be mandatory, that if you start the series having an audio version, you need to make the entire series available in audio. I have so many series not finished because the last book or two aren't in audio.
