Ooooo! Great idea. I am in need of this! It will keep the hubs from walking away with the towel! for some reason, he always takes the towel and throws it over his shoulder! Not this time, Mister!
Great idea, Robin, going to hit the Dollar Tree early tomorrow. My Mom made a bunch of washcloths to go with her dishtowels, sewed a loop in one corner and put up a Command hook right on the side of her cabinet. I found it very handy when cooking to be able to dry my hands or pick up small spills quickly. I think she bought a large bath towel and just cut it up in pieces for this. She was always surprising us with these kind of things.
Such a clever idea!!! I like to get those dollar tree towels and I jazz them up.. I made a bunch last Xmas and I stitched a fabric strip on the bottom.. Added some either lace or ric rac... I've also done applique on them.. Adding it to the pot holder is such a great idea!!!
Last year I made a bunch of decorated kitchen towels for my kids with either an appliqué or the strip across the bottom. It’s just enough to jazz up the towels and add a little color to the kitchen.
I love these. I have a few but I really want to get seasonal ones. Hmmm... If I start now I can collect all the seasons by next year to give as gifts. Great another problem solved. Thank you very much!♥️👍😎🧵
Hi Kathy! I received a wonderful package today. Thank you so much!! I love the wall hanging organizer. Great use for jeans and pockets. I was looking for your email in my list over here and there and everywhere and I just couldn't find it so here I am saying thank you so much for the fun scraps to play with. I have an idea of how to use them already. I do love the little strips and will definitely use them. Right now I am only saving those type of small narrow strips if they are Batiks. I save ALL of my Batik scraps for future fun projects. I am a bit pickier with my cotton scraps for those narrowest strips. Thank you so much for a fun Monday mail day.
That is such a good idea Robin. I was just at $ tree today. If I had known I would have grabbed a couple so I can get started on my Christmas sewing. :-) Love your videos. So full of ideas.
Not the sort of thing I would use but I think it's a great idea for gifts. To make it even prettier you could make your own pot holder to match the towel. I'm looking for gift idea's for Xmas. Last year I had an order for 6 sets of 2 place-mats with 2 matching coasters, all scrappy style. The customer now wants something new for this year, so I'll suggest something like this and put it on my list of possibilities. Have you any other ideas to share? T.I.A. :) Edit: I remember making a jar opener after watching your tutorial - I still use it and maybe would go with the kitchen towel as a set - something for me to think about :)
@@rsislandcrafts Table runner is on my list. I had thought of baskets. Had a quick look on P.rest for ideas. I think the gifts are for 6 different couples. I've got a few weeks to get sorted :)
Very clever use of pot holder to make a hanging towel 👍. Thank you for the video 😊 🎄
Potholders are very versatile.
Love the dollar tree crafts lol especially now with prices so high
I agree. Anytime we can get our supplies for a bit less it’s nice. I also like that It stretches my creative brain a little.
Thanks, Robin, for all your great ideas and for your generosity. Teaching adults can be difficult, but your instructions are always clear!
Thank you so much Patti. 🦩
I am going to Dollar tree first thing in the morning. Thanks
Happy shopping. I was at my store today and the Christmas items were being put out. Hopefully you’ll find something fun.
What a cool idea!
Great idea! My grand daughter is just learning to sew. She's almost 7 so I think she needs to make these for her mom for Christmas!
Perfect gift for her to make.
Now I know what to do with the towels to use in the kitchen. Thanks
You’re welcome. It’s fun to change out the kitchen towels for holidays and seasons.
I love this idea!!!!!!!!!
Thank you. 🦩
"Wonky is okay. Goofy not so good." I think I need to post that on my wall. You can sell merchandise with that saying 😂
What a super cute little project! Great tutorial, Robin!

It’s a chef thing. I never used to do It but now I find myself tossing the towel over my shoulder all of the time. 🤷♀️
Hello Robin, love this idea! 😁 Thank you for sharing 💜 Erica x
Thank you for sharing this simple but quick gift making product! your instructions were very concise and easily followed. Blessings! :-)
Thank you so much! 🦩🦩🦩
Thank you. I am going to make several of these. Snaps and Velcro... good ideas also!
Happy sewing!

Your mom was very creative and thoughtful. I always need a hand towel when cooking.
This is a great idea and looks so simple to do.

I have a couple of these and I made them for Christmas gifts a few years ago. Love them.❤
Great idea! Have to give it a try!
Clever. Think I’ll try one soon. Thanks for the idea.
Love 💕 Them! You inspired Me and I have some nice decorative towels already to enhance now! Thank You for Sharing!
I think you can take a elastic ponytail holders and use as hook for button
I think so too. Hair elastics are great for button closures. Easier for some people to use versus an actual button hole. Thanks!

Sounds like a plan! It would be a fun housewarming or wedding gift.
Great idea, thank you.
Nice!

Sounds like a good reason to head back to the Dollar Tree 😉
I love it😍 thanks!💖
I'm re-watching this and I got an idea, we could attach the pot-holder at a diagonal so we can hang it from the cupboard handle. Just an idea 😊
That's a great idea! Try It out and let us know how It works. I’m waiting to see the new kitchen before I make anything.
Amazing👍

Maybe at table runner or table cloth? Or fabric baskets or basket liners? There are several ways to gussy up a kitchen towel.
