- One cannot think of a better location to loudly celebrate a metal anniversary than the legendary Wacken Open Air festival. Grave Digger never thought twice than to mark their 30th anniversary with a metal extravaganza that would allow their most loyal fans to celebrate with them at the metal Mecca. This once-in-a-lifetime evening delivered the band's classic "Tunes of War" in its entirety. Thousands of headbangers shared in the enjoyment of timeless anthems such as "Scotland United", "The Dark of the Sun", and of course,"Rebellion". Staying true to the evening's theme, frontman Chris Boltendahl performed in Braveheart-inspired garb. Yet he had more surprises up his sleeve, as he welcomed guest artists Van Canto, Hansi Kürsch (Blind Guardian), and metal queen Doro Pesch to join him on stage. The DVD "The Clans Are Still Marching" captures the energy of this unique evening and delivers it to living rooms everywhere. The DVD also comprises backstage footage, interviews, the video of "Highland Farewell" and its respective "Making of...", as well as all the live tracks on CD.

She's not that good and kind of annoying. To see what I'm talking about, listen to Van Canto's version of Wishmaster, then listen to the real version paying close attention to the superior singer, Tarja.
@@powskier Comparing anyone to Tarja will make them look bad, it's simply not a fair comparison. It'd be like comparing any metal vocalist to Hansi, the game was rigged from the start.
Van Canto did a respectable job with their cover of Wishmaster, and with their cover of Rebellion as well. I won't say it's as good as the original, or better or worse than the original, because that comes down to personal taste and preference. If you dislike Inga Scharf's voice so strongly, then I can only recommend avoiding anything with Van Canto in it.
@@Mightylcanis A lot of people compare. Most people actually think Floor is better than Tarja. I personally don't think so. But many do. Maybe on a couple of songs
@@Mightylcanis ON POINT. As much as I LOVE Tarja - you just have to judge Inga for what she does (and not for what she - like ANY OTHER HUMAN BEING is not capable of). Inga does a great job and anyone should be able to admit this). Cannot understand why anyone would even try to compare those vastly different singers. Try comparing Inga to this swedish Pop-girl who actually tried to sing at Nightwish.... 😂
I've tried listening to some Van Canto things and it's nothing amazing IMO, but they and she in particular are amazing in this intro. Each to their own I suppose.
Hansi screaming "Death or Glory!" at the end is just perfection.
+Clafrk Yes he was great, but i think i know someone who can do better If he were in this. The Ripper owens...Dont know who he is listen to him in the song Framing Armaggeddon by iced earth. At 2:55 in that song should be proof enough lol.

To date this is my favourite version of this song. Hansi's vocals add so much to it, and the crowd is just wicked.

According to an interview with Hansi, Chris told him not to wear underwear under his kilt in accordance with tradition, but Hansi insisted. Probably a good thing since 4:48 happened...

Aah SICK. Im here just because of Hansi too... But Damn, just a nice song and a bad ass show graver digger is putting on. gona have to check em out properly... But that's what Hansi Does in general, becasue he collaborates with so many different musicians, an features in so many bands, he really helped me out to find shit loads of awesome music, that i would have probably never came across otherwise... And that is cool. ( and yes, YES, Hansi in a kilt. Like... YES, that's totally gonna be with me for a while... :DDDDD )
