Andreas Hansen I kinda get annoyed how he always sings the lower octave, and barely ever does any of the impressive stuff like on the albums
Retro Renaissance He is almost unable to sing those high notes since around 2009 or so. This performance in no comparison to Imaginations Through the Looking Glass.
I think he only tries to keep his voice intact for the entire tour. I've heard them at the end of their tour and his voice was really gone by that point.
the thing is, he could sing very impressive throughout a few shows, but he has to do a world tour and if he would sing perfectly, his voice would take damage

I listen to everything, Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica and everything in between...Hansi has the most unique voice in metal. Nothing but moving. Not necessarily the best, there's many contenders for that title, but to me, very much the most unique. Gets me every time.
Blackie Lawless voice is better. So bad veteran as you I dont talk about Dickinson

Blind Guardian are the absolute kings of power metal. There simply is no band that can ever hope to contest that title. Period.

There are some contenders. Rhapsody, Sonata Arctica, Helloween, Gamma Ray, Hammerfall. I like Blind Guardian but I've always preferred Rhapsody, specifically pre Rhapsody of Fire.
This performance is so legendary that whenever the guitar solo comes along in the original song, these squealy live notes are always overlayed in my head whenever I listen to it!

@Vapid Nonsence Well, let's not forget they are also one of the oldest, biggest and most popular german metal bands, with one of the biggest and dedicated fanbase. I mean, I remember when i first started to go to metal open air festivals back as a teenager, the first songs i HAD to learn at camping grounds were Blind Guardian songs and 'Ein Hoch auf unseren Busfahrer' (praising the bus driver, every single time i took the shuttle bus to the next village for grocery shopping during festivals). Well, later on also the Cantina Song.

I can barely wait for this DVD.. This is an awesome performance of "Mirror Mirror," especially with Andre's "fill" with the whammy bar at the end. These guys never falter, and never fail to deliver awesomeness.
I love how the band truely enjoys themselves on stage. Sometimes the people who don't sing look very grumpy but they truely radiate joy.
Still one of my all time favorites.

That footage looks pretty amature like, but the sound mix is pretty decent for a youtube video and hansi's voice was such a good shape on the beyond the read mirror tour.

Do see them live. We saw them twice in 3 months. It’s worth all the flights/drives/hotels. Their attitude is insane

The first song I listened to by Blind Guardian. It has a really special place in my Metal hearth (which is full of love of course). The intro took me into a other world in a second. What a feeling!

That's exactly how I feel about Majesty, but Mirror Mirror is one of my favorite Blind Guardian songs. Imaginations from the Other Side is top for me, though. Maybe Noldor...hard decision

Great song. Saw them Live in Osnabrück a few years ago, with Steelwing and Van Canto playing before. At the edge of time tour. My brother and me had caught a slight cold and i think even a bit of bit of fever, so we couldn't go into the crowd but instead took a seat on one of the upper left ramp benches in the hall. Wanted to cheer, but all my throat could manage was some croaky howling. When they played the Wheel of Time, they had the oil-covered Saidin projected in the back (a thing from the Wheel of Time book series by Robert Jordan). Absolutely Epic, that was one of the most AWESOME concerts i've ever seen.
