@@dubzytse710 FDNY goes with low bidders who meets all written specifications. They have had some Pierce in the past. A set of replacement rescues were on Arrow XT chassis'. Don't remember the year. Pierce misses a number of large municipal contracts because they're pricey & city governments, despite their wasteful reputations, are very hard to please. But they try. The Arrow XT was designed & marketed for big city departments. LAFD uses them.
I have to admit, the trucks in general are starting to really look rugged and intimating as well. By the way, are the squad company pieces high pressured?

As always great job Skyler. 2 questions. First was after seeing the refueling needs does FDNY have a fueling truck if there is a long duration fire? 2. Noticed the CTS truck in the back ground. I didn’t know they have ladder trucks? Do they also have engines and where are they stationed? Do they respond as first due if it’s in their area. Thanks
Hey Jim. Yes they have Fuel Truck. I have a video on here of it. They respond from the shops on 3rd alarms. The CTS they have one of each new rig so engines 2002, (2) 2008s 2020 Ladders Tiller 2011 Stick 2005 stick Tower Ladders 2010 and 2020 They are for training to train new guys
Chauffeur Training School. To train members that haven’t driven a rig. They have to have one of every year they change something all rigs drive different. They have 4 CTS Pumpers 2003 (2) 2008 2020 Tiller 2010 and 2020 Tower Ladders 2011 Stick 2006 Stick
Staten Island is FF purgatory, you go there to retire. My cousin works in ladder 110 one of the busiest in NY and he had to do 2 shifts in SI he said it was the slowest 2 shifts of his life. No calls, no BI, only time they went out was to get food. Don’t see the need for them to have a Squad

They needed a Squad because Squad 1 was to far. And R5 leaves to go to Brooklyn leaving no SOC Coverage

Late response but one is an engine and works in hazmat and the rescue works more with ladder tools and is not hazmat
