Just for your info our endorsers do not get paid. They do receive free gear and are grateful for that as we are for them being a part of the DW family. Thanks for watching!
Man, DW drums are awsome!! Brent is a killer drummer too. I have been playing a lot of years and in my opinion he brings a fresh style to the stage. Great job DW on that kit. It looks incredible. Brent, keep up the good work brother!

Don't see how theres people hating on this guy?! He's not playing a Solo, he's playing the parts to songs...which are in fact one of the best things for a drum kit to sound in? Yes, its good for it sound in a solo, but this guy is just demonstrating how these can "sing" just in normal songs never mind being thrashed in a blistering solo. -Matt
The tuning is an aid to the ending sound of the drum but it is the shell make up that gives the drum its overall sound. You could tune 2 different shell types the same but what will run true is what type of wood the shell is.
I absolutely love this color combination! I want a kit just like this. I knew my new kit was going to be of course DW, but now i want which shells to go with.
That's a great question! Tony Royster and Thomas Pridgen were in their late to mid teens when we signed them. We do not have anyone that young at the moment.
Steve Douglas! We answered you back on the Performance Series video for some of your questions here. We do not consider any series better then the other. They are just unique to themselves. We hope with these videos you can educate yourself on the different sound qualities. :)
The artist endorses the product, not the other way around. Furthermore, Brent is an outstanding rock drummer. Spend less time being sad, and more time getting to this level.
Thanks, thanks and thanks! We are happy you are liking this kit! We do not do pricing from our factory here unfortunately. Interesting point you bring up. We have artists, employees and customers that love the look and functionality of the tom in the snare basket. We also have feedback from people like yourself that feel the tom will get choked in the snare basket. We feel it's a classic look and to each is their own. We have not noticed differences in the sound much though. Your thoughts???
This guy kicks total ass. He's tight and solid but has a nice fat, warm groove too. Sounds killer live on stuff like Bad Rain, Standing in the Sun, Carolina, Halo etc
It helps your chances if you already posses drum type companies endorsement deals(sticks, cymbals, etc), a heavy web presence and or touring schedule. Hope this helps!
Wish we could give you that info! It's been a while since we filmed this. Feel free to check out his artist page on the link below! sabian(dot)com/en/artist/brent-fitz
Brent may not be a great drummer technically speaking but he is an awesome musician, plays various instruments and his playing has balls. that is what matters in rocknroll.
I'm pretty sure it's just the DW stock heads that do that. As you can see they have dampening rings on all the toms. It certainly makes out-of-the-box playing easier, and I may have liked a sound like that a few years ago, but I've come to really like lots of resonance, which I think DW shells can certainly do. Swings and roundabouts, eh?
I have a question, how much of a difference is there between the PDP drums and Dw drums (sound and quality)....I know the PDP's are made in China or Mexico but from the videos I've seen, they really raise my eyebrow based on the price and value of what you're getting it seems.
Carlos si quieres comprar un kit como este lo mejor sera que lo compres en USA y lo importes, te saldra mucho mas barato que comprarlo ya colocado en Mexico. Yo vivo en frontera no se donde vivas tu pero es algo muy sencillo.
it seems to me that alot of the American drummers have this attitude that learning one style is the way to go because the industry is large and there's so much opprotunity that you can get away with only playing one stlye but were i am from in "Sydney Australia alot of the top drummers here in sydney are very versatile because in Australia there's a smaller industry it's growing but still very small compared to america and you just have to learn as much as you can and be very good
Obviously, the DW Maple Collectors series are more expensive than the Performance Series but I would like to know the differences in the quality between the 3 series. Why is one better than the other?
Did he say this kit would be great for beginners, I'm sure they would but that's a lot of money for a beginner. My first kit cost around £300, 5 years ago, I would love to spend £3000 on a kit for me now but that's only because I know I'm never going to stop!
When it comes to these endorsed drummers, it seems to be only money. Because when Brent is in the studio recording he also uses other brands, you can find those videos here on youtube. I like this drummer so dont get me wrong about that.
Brent it great! Thanks for liking our drums! We are very happy to have Brent on our roster!
You are very welcome! Brent is a very solid example of solid drumming. Thanks for watching!

The bassdrum sounds so pleasurable!
When you are making it happen like that it takes some energy!
You guys couldn't have a better representative. I know Brent from Winnipeg from back in the day. Solid guy and an incredible musician.
We do not do pricing from our factory here unfortunately. Feel free to check the specs below for this kit and the link for the our Dealer Locator for your closest authorized DW drums dealer for pricing and ordering info.

He knows how to hold it down with taste!
Even a Yamaha guy can appreciate they way these babies look. As Brent said, retro modern, very cool.

How is the kit mic'd in this video? I see a kick and snare mic but no other close mics - is it Glyn Johns, mono overhead, or something else?
what colour is that, looks fantastic with that black hardware

Brent may not be a great drummer technically speaking but he is an awesome musician, plays various instruments and his playing has balls. that is what matters in rocknroll.
It isn't a solo, he is playing the drum track from "Just Like Anything" by Slash's Snakepit.
Is it the actual shells/wood that give the drums that dead sound, or is it the tuning? I personally love that sound!
Im curious about what a birch/maple kit would sound like. too extreme?
How much is the price increase on black nickel hardware compared to chrome hardware? Is it 10%?
I have a question, how much of a difference is there between the PDP drums and Dw drums (sound and quality)....I know the PDP's are made in China or Mexico but from the videos I've seen, they really raise my eyebrow based on the price and value of what you're getting it seems.

Thanks! We are longing to make you a kit. :)
How much does this kit cost that Brent is playing on?
They just might! ;)
No way he's got it!
Oh no! The finish on this kit is a Copper Lacquer Specialty.
Obviously, the DW Maple Collectors series are more expensive than the Performance Series but I would like to know the differences in the quality between the 3 series. Why is one better than the other?
I don't like the playing, but what is the finish on the drums? it looks incredible.
Dose he still play with slash
I should totally be sponsored, always been a fan of dw. :/
Can anybody tell me what drumheads those are?
Great kit by the way. And Brent needs no introduction. Amazing drummer!
+Antonio da Fonseca They are Remo heads made for DW - Coated snare head and clear toms with a bit of built in muffling.
Did he say this kit would be great for beginners, I'm sure they would but that's a lot of money for a beginner. My first kit cost around £300, 5 years ago, I would love to spend £3000 on a kit for me now but that's only because I know I'm never going to stop!
Whoa I can see why, those are massive shoes to fill!!
Is the 22 or 20 that good
watching this the day after David Bowie died, and i see that he's wearing a Bowie shirt
Great energy, good solid playing. Reminds me a lot of Dave Grohl in playing style.
Would love to see him unleash.
Snapes can drum!
I don't think up and coming drummers can afford this, lol! But the point was taken!
Does anyone know what ride is that?
He usually uses a 20 or 21" Sabian AA Rock Ride :-)
When it comes to these endorsed drummers, it seems to be only money. Because when Brent is in the studio recording he also uses other brands, you can find those videos here on youtube. I like this drummer so dont get me wrong about that.
What snare is that?
Maple/Mahogany Snare. Made with the kit.
it sounds perfect!!
