I just ordered the new DW carbon fiber 5000 double pedal and hi-hat stands from you guys yesterday. I love all these DW kits. The DW Jazz snare, Birch/Mahogany kit, with a special nod to the PurpleCore kick drum were my favorites. I hope some day you demo their Cherry Jazz Series kits. One in big sizes and one in bop sizes. Or maybe the 3 different shell variations in the Jazz Series. The Cherry Jazz drums are, ironically, some of the best drums for rock I’ve ever played. There aren’t really any decent videos of those drums out there. The world needs to hear how great those drums are and nobody would record them better than DCP.

Guys, I appreciate the amount of effort to put this together, so thanks, awesome job.
Given that there are no changes to the signal chains or proximity of the mics, most of differences I heard were primarily in the pitch or note (not exactly matched kit to kit)
Overall, I would go with the Purple Core blue drums and “low tuning” as it sounded more powerful.

What I mean is that when I hear a Ludwig or Gretsch or Sonor or A&F….I can hear the distinctive sound of those companies. I don’t really hear that in DW. I’m not bashing DW at all because they make beautiful drums but I just don’t hear a DW sound. Am I the only one? Again, I’m not against DW at all. Just a thought. Not a fan of DW. They just sound boxy to me. There are far better brands that come under DW's price.

Aaand that’s why I do not like DW drums. They are beautiful to look but ugh they just sound bad to me and they all sound the same or very very close. Put up the German made Sonor kits…

I dont like them in low tuning ( maybe are tuned to low ? ) , higher tuning sounds good !
