I also sell fire wood in bags and I am in the Netherlands but I sell it in loosely woven jute bags I pay eighteen cents per bag the advantage over nylon is that you are more environmentally friendly and you immediately supply a fire starter with the wood in the form of the burlap sack
Our bundles are a cubic foot and we are selling them for $8.00 each or three for $20.00. I bought my granddaughter an Amish made bundler from Tony at the firewood frenzy this year. She likes it better than the bags she was using. The bundler works fast for her.
Ok bags are $8 2 for $15, 4 for $30...i know im unorthodox i have battery powered 80v kobalt really shoestring widowed 67 yr old woman surrounded by woods i have a good truck, good tractor...i need to make some money and get rid of trees, logged some in mo. With my husband and here in texas. Doing my best thk u for your informative video. I have been giving cut logs away for free, i had downed trees from tornado so now im looking at splitter, have to be electric i cant pull start chainsaw or snything like that anymore unfortunately. I need some money doesnt have to be big money just something lol
Bagged bundle way better from a customer standpoint. Sturdier and more wood. That wood looks really nice. I have to burn black oak and it is never seasoned around my house. Two years after buying I can burn in my fireplace.
That is some good-looking firewood. Cherry is really nice wood. Too good for fire pit wood. Hard to get in my part of Ohio. It burns clean and clear and smells nice.
Those prices are to high for me. Next time I buy a bag from you, I want a discount. I want you to sell it to me for $7.99. Every penny counts. Lol. Keep up the great content brother.
Found another way to bundle. Use one of those small metal trash cans people use for fireplace ash. cut the bottom out and it work just like Scheib's box.
Good stuff Scheib. I like your pricing and like to see you press a little on moving prices higher. It's a lot of work. Good thing we love it. Lol. Have a good week
Evening brother just stopped in to say hello I like the half rack for 60 because you can fit that in the back of an suv. And your bundles are great man plenty of bang for their buck and at .40c apiece that's a great price they are almost a buck apiece on amazon
I think your prices are more than reasonable!! Really good to see your sales are up!! That's the nice thing about cherry it dries fast!! Stay safe my friend 🍻🍻
Your prices are definatly good, i live 25 miles south of clevelend ohio and i get 75.00 for that size stack of wood, have you thought about that ez bager, that thing works great, i sell about 20-25 bags a week and it saves me a lot of time ,i usaly make about 100 bags at a time it fits the 1 cubic foof bags but i had a tube setup made for the 3/4 cf bags and works great ,i cant belive the time it saves making that many bags at a time. Im get nothing from them, just wanted to let others know how it saves time for other things ,i can make bags in half the time, with 2 people i can make over 100 bags in a hour. Just letting others know, enjoy your videos.ill see you at the pb show. the bundles around here at store are 7.49 + .51 tax so 8.00 for .6 cf mine are 7.00 for 1 cf. Once people found me i sell a lot.
I like the idea of bagging, built in handle and then the bag is good for other uses when empty, but I want a different way to load that bag, and I have an idea that I need to build a prototype of, IF this ever becomes real I will post a vid on YT,
I just started selling bundles close to 3 months ago. Including 10 I'm delivering tomorrow, I will be at 55 bundles. And its hot as shit out here on Cape Cod. Curious as to how it will be in the fall.
Hi Scheib. Nice video. I’ve been thinking about adding a larger rack to my stand. I think you’re very fair. That’s a great buy on the bundles. I sell 1 cu/ft bundles for $5 and I have bins at a little over 5 cu/ft for $20. I’m just a little north of you in the bloomsburg/ berwick area. A little more competition this year with a few other stands popping up. Anyway thanks for another video! And hopefully this heat/humidity will move out for now.
Did you ever add a larger rack? I’ve got a stand and just selling 5 dollar bundles but I kind of want to add a bigger stand thingy did it work out for you I’ve got two stands next to me as competition and it’s not infront of my house it down the road
Do you find that the loose wood sells more vs the bagged wood? From a convenience POV I'd assume the bags would be easier to carry, and probably just enough wood for a weekend camping trip, no?
It’s about an even mix. I guess it all depends on the situation. Normally if they have a truck or an suv they take the loose wood but if that have just a sedan they take bags.
Alot of people don't realize that when people make bundles and there not 12"x12" that there not getting a square foot but they forget they are getting 16"-18" length in pieces not 12". So a 12"x9" by 16"-18" length is actually a cubic foot and your bundles look at least 1 1/2 cubic foot for bundle wood. Alot of people don't look at it that away.
Nice looking set up! I think your prices are in line with everything Ive ever seen. Hell, you go into a Lowes and they're selling .06cf blocks for 9.99 and you usually get a whopping 6-7 pieces lol. I sell my bundles for 10.00 and are over 1cf. My shop that we rent is on a major two lane so lots of traffic but unfortunately my Landlord said no to a wood stand. The bags definitely look better and it's too bad they aren't reusable but neither is the plastic wrap lol.
Hello Today is 08/09/22 2:39 pm I got to say Before you got to the end of your video I was saying to myself your bags was going for $10 or $12 U would do good in my area for your prices Keep up with the good work
I have one guy near me, who has 1/2 fc racks ($40); 1/4 fc racks; 1/8 fc racks, AND bundles ($5). All Ash from dead trees he's cleaning up off his property. He says he never knows what people will want this week, so he puts a variety of sizes out there. He's right on a main road, between two villages. I have yet to see all of the racks full, except right after he finishes filling them. I mean, who can say no to a bunch of pieces of nice Ash?
Schieb that price is amazing am pretty sure there is more in those than how it's typically sold over here in Scotland. Close to me people sell ibc metal crates Which am pretty sure is just over a cube of wood mixed hardwood and that is £135 or like $160-170 so yea value amazing glad it's selling there also much nicer than the sticks of wood youd typically get here. Wee gold mine. Ever thought about chips in a bag for smokers or BBQs?or kindling? 🏴👍
Thanks Michael!! I have thought about chips but there isn’t many restaurants and or people that smoke with chips anymore. Most people have these pellet grills that they use to smoke with now.
Great channel. It looks like you have a pretty good little business there. I think the bags are a lot better approach. I'm assuming people do the honorable thing and put the money in the box but, do you have cameras?
Price seems reasonable to me, I don't think anyone is going to go somewhere else to save a dollar two a bag. What if you did 4 for $30 or something for people that want a little more wood but don't to throw bulk wood in their trunk! PS I don't hate saggy bags Whooo!!
Sir I believe your prices are more than fair imo...I've seen the firewood bundles at Lowe's here in Houston for like $12 and they're a fraction of how much wood your bags contain.👍.. Also, I'm new to this channel, what part of the country are you in?
Takes 2 years to season fire wood using air drying method or chimney fires are at risk. Been burning logs for over 50 years to heat my home . Certainly would never waste my money buying firewood. Daily as I walk my dog I collect fire wood for free. Amazing how much wood I collect in a year using this method as there is fallen trees every where.
I think your 1/3 cord is a bit low at $60 it's no wonder it got hit hard. Out here a cord goes for $250/3=$83 for a 1/3 cord. Your market could stand a bit more for a face cord. But then you may have a plan.
Your prices are in line for the firewood stand. Now for a couple of questions, do you sell by the cord and at what price? I was selling a cord at $250.00 before the massive inflation and fuel prices now I had to raise it to $300.00. My second question with the firewood stand do you ever have any problems with people taking the wood and not paying or just giving some money? I have been thinking about doing a firewood stand but I really don't want to take the chance of someone walking off without paying. Thanks for the video and have a cold one on me.
screw the racks....just deliver....most people who need wood, can't get it to their house...That is why they are buying it......If they had a truck to be able to haul, they would get it themselves......
I also sell fire wood in bags and I am in the Netherlands but I sell it in loosely woven jute bags I pay eighteen cents per bag the advantage over nylon is that you are more environmentally friendly and you immediately supply a fire starter with the wood in the form of the burlap sack

Nice set up. Your customers must be happy with the racks and bins. Lots of wood in the bags as well! Prices are great 👍

The rack looks awesome. I think the neatly stack piles are eye catching and will sell quickly.

You definitely earned that cold one! 🍻
When I upgraded and bought an ez-bagger, my speed went up dramatically. 60 bags an hour effortlessly now! Best $500 I ever spent
Bagged bundle way better from a customer standpoint. Sturdier and more wood.
That wood looks really nice. I have to burn black oak and it is never seasoned around my house. Two years after buying I can burn in my fireplace.
I don’t sell wood just cut for myself so given I know how much work goes into I think your prices are reasonable 👍
for the amount of wood you put in the bags your pricing is very reasonable, very good deal compared to market stores and gas stations that sell wood.
Great prices on the amount you have in your bins. Firewood stand looks Great. Have a Safe Day
Thanks, you too!
Good Watch. You deserve every bit of what you charge for your firewood. Thanks for Video
Wood stand looks great without a saggy bag in sight!! Good work buddy!!😎🤘🪵
That is some good-looking firewood. Cherry is really nice wood. Too good for fire pit wood. Hard to get in my part of Ohio. It burns clean and clear and smells nice.

Awesome, i gotta mix it up a little to get more folks coming in
You prices are good, nice looking bundles for that price. The bundles around here are 6.99 for .75 cf
That is helluva pile of wood on your side-by-side.
