when it is all said and done...people will go Kyrgios..who? ...this will be his legacy. There were many like that before him...tennis remembers only those that really made an impact: Laver will be invited to any tournament, Federer and Nadal will get standing ovation whether they play or are 60 and sitting in a box...Kyrgios will be lucky to get into a stadium.
Some players do that even at the rec level. People with a one handed backhand sometimes only grip up that far to save material since they don't really use the upper half of the handle. Not that Kyrigos needs to save the $2 of the cost of an overgrip but it might just be what he's used to. And he has a 2HBH so I don't know if that's normal for him or not.

I’ve always wondered how Nick made it to the highest levels of tennis while never actually dealing with his bad attitude/weak mentality, you would of thought those traits would have derailed his career way before he became a top professional. Makes me think if he didn’t have this attitude problem he would be unstoppable.
Consider the mental game you need to play against someone who's that negative toward the game and everyone involved. He humiliates you by hitting it past you before you can react or standing flat footed and hitting exceptional touch shots. I think it takes a world class talent to avoid getting caught up in that much childishness and play quality tennis until he defeats himself. Too bad all that talent was gifted to such a weak spirited and insufferable turd.
Because he actually has a lot of talent. That mixed with his attitude probably got in a lot of opponents heads. That stuff does not work in the pro stage tho
He tried to walk away many times when the Australian press were attacking him from the age of 19. They never had a good word to say and have trained the 'fans' to hate him. After he won the 2017 Davis Cup for them they said, 'Crawl back into the gutter you crawled out of'. thanks mate.
How to judge someone’s mental acuity - count how many times they repeat the same thing over and over and over. In his case it’s literally 12 times in a row.
He has since that time done a great deal for the cause of men's mental health. Time you updated yourself. Watch his Good Trouble with Nick Kyrgios podcasts. You might learn something.

Can you imagine how good Kyrgios would be if he had the right attitude? His temperament is the reason he's not won any slams. If he stopped expending his energy on all the histrionics, he'd be a world-beater
I don't think so. What I think is that MOST of the players could do what he does: hit some insane shots now and then, and right after miss the easiest balls. Being the best in tennis is not about doing insane shots, its about consistency, and sometimes hitting insane shots. Kyrgios would be, IMO, what he calls others: average player, if he even tried.
Poor kid who wanted to shake hands at 14:50 but notices the rackets and backs away slowly. Jesus Christ what a prick. He shouldn't play games if he can't handle losing.

The irony of saying the other player “broke himself”
Ive never seen a guy not fit into the sport he plays more than this guy. Its a gentlemen sport, but he fits in more at a beer chugging competition
I hate tennis or any sport being referred to as a “gentleman sport” it sounds so snobby and condescending
Nick blew in from the wrong side of the tracks, a mixed race tall poppy that everyone wants to hate - Australians do this to all their best athletes, not just tennis. Ridiculing them is Australia's second favourite sport. thanks for your admission of who you are.
I don’t get why tennis has to be a gentleman sport. Yes kyrgios is being extremely disrespectful, but I don’t know why trashtalk and swearing isn’t allowed in this game. Super snobby in my opinion.
@@GringoBrasileiro2022 its not like basketball or football where you are right next to the opponent and nobody else has to listen. plenty of players swear to themselves or talk trash in the direction of their box. i was a hothead player myself and i would have probably gone a lot further if i learned to stfu and play the game
@@icecreamman1337 Even in basketball the refs have been cracking down on any provocations, trashtalk, etc. with technical fouls (in NBA anyway), I think more so in the recent years. I personally would prefer for tennis to be more free flowing in this aspect. If Nick wants to continue being Nick I get that many people would be put off but on my part I only care about high quality matches skill-wise, and let players' personalities be whatever they are. It's always been weird to see penalties being handed out for breaking rackets for example.
I'm somewhere between "he's clearly unwell" and "bro has no excuse of not going to top notch therapy" on The Kyrgen

Now that is a LEGENDARY UPLOAD!
My guy 🙌🏼 inspired from some of your videos
He makes McEnroe look like a kitten.
He makes Nastase look like a proper gentleman.
Kyrgios said he skip training and went to party. He did not bother to practice before matches. Lack of discipline makes him wasting a lot of talent.
when it is all said and done...people will go Kyrgios..who? ...this will be his legacy. There were many like that before him...tennis remembers only those that really made an impact: Laver will be invited to any tournament, Federer and Nadal will get standing ovation whether they play or are 60 and sitting in a box...Kyrgios will be lucky to get into a stadium.
i'll remember him
Kyrgios has insane talent , shame he will be remembered as one of the biggest underachievers
Better to be an "underacheiver" than to play a rigged game. He's not even full time tennis, he'll be great at something else.

The way he gripped his racquet lmao covered only half the handle 😂😂😂😂😂
Haha gasquet style
Seeing the tape and the handle and never wrapping a racket before. I would have done better.

YES, so true.
how he behaves and what he comments are two different things. a murder can say murder is wrong even if he is a murderer.
@@sultanabran1 not sure I agree. You'd likely not have a person convicted of domestic violence be a spokesperson for women's rights for example. It speaks to credibility.
@@sohailhines In a lot of situations though this is exactly what happens. Because when you are being lectured about something, wouldn't you prefer the person lecturing you to actually understand what you are going through? Almost all spokespeople or lecturers on things have done it themselves.
Yeah because he's a completely different person compared to how he was in 2019 and even 2021
I’ve always wondered how Nick made it to the highest levels of tennis while never actually dealing with his bad attitude/weak mentality, you would of thought those traits would have derailed his career way before he became a top professional. Makes me think if he didn’t have this attitude problem he would be unstoppable.
Strange that he wasn't straightened out as a teenager

Never wanted anyone to loose more than this man child.

Yep, Kyrgios is always looking for an excuse to explain away his loss. That's why has has zero slams and will retire with zero slams. Million dollar physical talent with a dime store brain on top of his shoulders. LOL

Nah, he wouldn't have the same talent. He's got only his crazyness and his crazyness is what holds him back. It's beautiful (not for him)
I don't think so.
