Busch will be a STAR in his own right. Remember....he was a ROOKIE last year. At every level he was a monster once established. AAA / AA/ A/ Rookie and in college. This year he'll hit between 25 and 30HR's. You can take that to the bank. Trading him would be the dumbest thing the Cubs could do.
That Cubs Astros trade proposal would be one of the most lopsided trades in baseball history at the time of the trade, Dealing all of that for one year of Kyle Tucker and a pitching prospect is complete and total insanity.
Nico is more than just a back up SS. He's probably a top 5 fielding SS in the MLB for another team & would definitely top 10 in WAR among SS. Problem is Cubs have the best defensive SS in the MLB on their team in Swanson. & Swansons floor at SS is higher than Nico's
An idea would be see how the A's would feeling Ben Brown and Wesneski for Langeliers. A's get 2 young pitchers with 5 years of control each. The combined AFV and surplus slightly favors the A's and tehe Cubs are giving pitching with is always a premium but the Cubs need that upgrade at C.
Dodger one is the best. Opens up a spot for Shaw. But I do not see teams trading for Nico while recovering. But if any team could it would be the dodgers as they have superstar level talent and injury affects them less. You can run another one. Stroman for Bellinger. Cubs need a SP Yankees have 1B and OF needs ATM. This one would fall after Soto decides . This one opens up RF for Caissie which makes sense plus allows for a platoon with Alàcantara.
Well i wasn't sold on Rushing for Nico & Wesneski at first cuz he's a C prospect that isn't a full yime Catcher but man can he hit & control the running game behind the plate. So i wouldn't hate it. But i still prefer an MLB PROVEN player
Bellinger and Paredes to Astros.. Kyle Tucker and Ullola to Cubs. Tucker is a STUD and would immediately make a huge difference. By giving Paredes the Astrol fill a 3rd base need as i dont think Bregman os going back to houston. The Cubs can then slot SHAW into 3rd base.
On the D'backs trade, some cursory googling shows they indeed are considered weak at first base. but they wouldn't give up their catcher for our catcher. What if it was Bellinger instead. Cubs shed significant salary, lose offense but hope busch would improve in 2025. Use the additional money to get Max Fried. Still I think we hold on to all of our grade B talent and add Fried and some high leverage bp guy and Kyle H. at catcher to hold us over until Bellesteros (sp?) is ready.
Boycott Wrigley Fields now! Who b carin? Wirlin verlin breakdancer froms Crestwood IL do. Amysully wat up dog. No playa wanna b da loveable losers forever. MAKE AMERICA TRUMPLESS AGAIN FRANKLIN 🤘🃏🎸🥃🍺🤤🪦🇺🇲🤣😂
Thanks for looking at my trade idea. I suspected I was being too generous to the Astros, but they aren't going to give up Kyle Tucker for pennies on the dollar. Ullola is the Astros #8 prospect, I find it hard to believe his value is that low. Bellinger is included because he gives HOU a replacement for Tucker and it gets him off the Cubs payroll. Ballesteros goes because the possibility that he turns into a MLB level catcher is not very good. Jefferson Rojas is basically position blocked on the Cubs. If the Cubs sign 1 or 2 FA pitchers or trade for 1, then Assad becomes expendable. So, the new trade is Bellinger, Rojas, Ballesteros and Assad to HOU, and the Cubs get Kyle Tucker and Miguel Ullola. You're going to have to overpay if you want Kyle Tucker. Better?

There's no world the Cubs give up Bellinger, Hoerner and 3 of their top 7 prospects for 1 year of Tucker

Love, love, love the Hoerner/Wesneski for Dalton Rushing trade!
Let's do it
Yep, any day of the week...gets a high value in young catcher/bat while making room for Shaw/Triantos and dumping some salary.

I don't trade Owen Cassie unless the deal really blows me away. He's going to be a star.

As good as a Moreno trade to the Cubs is , the Diamondbacks would be nuts to trade him for Amaya.

I wouldn't want stroman back unless we open up this trade and add Nico and Spencer Jones and someone else.

No Owen Cassie in that Astro trade
Bellinger and Paredes to Astros..
Kyle Tucker and Ullola to Cubs.

Keep 3B open for Cam Smith. Trade Hoerner and slot Shaw in the 2B spot.
@robhansen6370 Shaw can move... Cam Smith wo t be in the MLB lineup in 2026... possibly 2026
@@franciscosantiago9032 Move Shaw where? Not to 3b, that's Smith in 2026 so not moving him for 1 year. Not SS and obviously not OF. That leaves 2B.
@kampoc4802 Shaw can play 2B as well... Nico's days are or could be counted on this team that desperately needs slug.
Send belli and Amaya and a lower level prospect for moreno
Anthony Santander would be like 900% cheaper than Juan Soto 😂
That's music to Discount Jed's ears
I want Santander. We got to trade belli or seiya or both
@alexdavila9502 seiya has a full ntc. So he can't be traded without his permission
Cannot see AZ trading Gabby
Bethancourt > Thaiss. WTF??
Don’t make me unfollow u

I say this respectfully, but that would be one of the most lopsided trades in baseball history (day of).
