- On Episode 477 of Spittin’ Chiclets, the guys are joined by young Montreal Canadien and Sandbagger Invitational Alumni Cole Caufield (01:09:13) to talk about his time playing in Montreal. But before that, the boys talk about the Winter Classic in Seattle and all the chaos that ensued. Buoy dunk tanking Biz, Biz beating up Buoy, and…RA scaring away Wayne Gretzky from another dinner?!?! The guys also dive into the World Juniors as well as getting into some Maple Leafs rumors. Later on, Canadian comedian Ian Bagg joins the show (02:14:00) to talk about performing stand up and how social media changed his career. Lastly, the boys catch up on what’s going on around the league and also talk about the early success of the PWHL. Happy New Years Chiclets Nation!

Ian is wrong, Terrace is the centre of the middle of nowhere. The middle of nowhere was Usk, New Hazelton, and ugh, Reno. Terrace is considered the regional hub. But to do anything other then forestry or trucking or trades, you have to leave. Always nice to see a fellow Terracite make it. I gotta disagree about his appraisal of Mr. Dreger, I loved his low key history class, a lot of people fell asleep, but I got the highest exam mark in History exams in the province for 1986. So props to Mr. Dreger, he was a good teacher. Bert Kreischer is cringe. Ian is very funny, even the joke about apologizing for only naming white guys was spot on about where we are today. Thanks for having Ian on the show guys!

Ian was great theres just one thing that bugs me and that was when he said to perform in the middle east he couldnt joke about politics or religion, fuck that. If you can make a funny joke nothing should be off the table. I wish people would refuse if there are restrictions about what topics can be joked about, but money talks i guess

Is a reverse hit not an interference penalty? The guy getting hit in a reverse hit does not have possession of the puck.

You can use your body to “fight” for position on the ice. You see this displayed most in front of the net with little or no speed. Guys just jockeying for position or moving guys out of position.
When a player goes for a hit, they are going into the other players position on the ice. It’s not interference because the puck carrier didn’t actually throw a hit at the player delivering the hit.
Reverse hitting is a useful skill and not enough players are keeping a look out for hits coming their way.
@@philtorrez4198 But in a reverse hit your going into space the reverse hitter just left. And the guy you hit is further from the puck then the guy throwing the reverse hit. I just don't think D men should do it, you can't have it where you can reverse hit a guy, but they can't hit you cause your in a dangerous position near the boards. Players let up on guys going into the boards, or should, so to reverse hit a guy following you into the boards is low. Old rules apply I guess, trust no one.

With the uptick in all nasty looking hits along the boards this season, it seems as if guys are going for blood out there so you gotta keep your head on a fucking swivel if you’re carrying the puck across the line or in the corners. You can’t just be looking for the pass.
