In this cutscene (and most of their other appearances) , they remind me of Team Rocket from Pokémon so much and I LOVE IT. I love the dynamic combination of the one who’s more serious and in it for business-like purposes, the one who’s there for the fun and just tries to have a good time, and then the hype man who’s just there to support his friends. I just love Deep Cut so much. They remind me of a more modernized and fun spin on Team Rocket and I’d honestly have it no other way.
i want more socioeconomic type lore in splatoon!! this section of dialogue (and the recent dev interviews) really showed the income/class disparity between splatsville and inkopolis. the whole thing about upper middle class inklings/octolings moving from inkopolis to lower income areas like splatsville because it’s “trendy” feels a little too real

Okay okay everyone talking about deep cut dynamics and I love them with my whole heart, but we also have to recognize how they fleshed out callie and marie even more with this third game and I LOVE it SO much: callie being naively enthusiastic and positive in contrast of marie an eternal sceptical calm mind, I love their joke, sacarms, and gestures sO damn much they are doing such a good work with actually very little interactions I'm very hyped to see how they are going to bring pearl and marina with the DLC ALSO in a general manner their animations are SO GOOD nintendo steps up every new game and I'm all in for it

I don’t think anybody’s mentioned this, but fryes mouth animations are glitched from 0:50 to 1:04! Her mouth is supposed to be wide open from shock, but in some shots from this footage her mouth is closed or is using a smiling talking animation instead of the more frowning one.
