The instrument being played on this track by Tina Guo is an erhu, Wade-Giles romanization erh-hu, bowed, two-stringed Chinese vertical fiddle, the most popular of this class of instruments. The strings of the erhu, commonly tuned a fifth apart, are stretched over a wooden drumlike resonator covered by a snakeskin membrane. The erhu has no fingerboard.

Tina Guo writes, scores, and performs soundtracks for video games. She also tours for live ethnic music concerts and non-ethnic orchestras.

So many legends on that stage with Joe. Antone Fig on the drums and Reese Wynans on the keys. Joe always has a top notch band with him wherever he performs. Some of his recent recordings feature Mahalia Barns and his past collaborations with Beth Hart are unbeatable. If you get started down this rabbit hole, be prepared for a long and euphoric journey.

Tina Guo is a classically trained cellist that does mostly "industrial" music for movie and video game sound tracts. She plays a mean cello on another track from this DVD, during the song Woke Up Dreaming. Even if you don't react to that song it's worth a listen.

Would like to see you react to Joe Bonamassa, live at the Greek theater rocking out to the blues "Going Down".

Nothing like Joe Bonamassa on (400+) guitars. Very nice new instrument to find for all of us. Beautiful.

Big Bonamassa fan…I’ve seen him three times. But I’d never heard this. Very nice and mellow.

This entire show was acoustic, in fact, the full name on the DVD is "Live at Carnegie Hall - An Acoustic Evening". On the bonus material on the DVD, Joe explains that he was warned that with the incredible acoustics of Carnegie Hall that any of the usual amplification would be too much. Joe normally likes it loud!

This version is quite different instrumentally from the original. Check out from the same concert, "Woke Up Dreaming" with Tina Guo

The Asian lady is a graduate of the school of juliyard. She plays a chello and those things just surround that sound.
