If Todd didn't show us that was a zombie in the roof, I would have assumed that those noises were coming from the ghost of Fredrick loudly judging them.
Chad with the clutch Piglin knowledge. Their odds of surviving have grown by like 300% just by him saying that.

Thank god they know about Piglins, because if they went in the nether without knowing about them, that would suck.
The absolute sass coming through from the editor's notes give me life. It's like they're giving voice to the audience's thoughts.
Todd's editing is fucking amazing, he put a shit ton of effort in this project and it shows.

Agreed. They are going really slow and taking this way too cautious. Along with wasting a bunch of diamonds and stuff. I still think Peebs and Shane are the only ones who have the guts to take on like 2 zombies. Todd has a reason to make those comments.
@@andxrw5597 TBF most of them have very little experience with MC, but I would be lying if I didn't say I thought it was going slow, but I've spent too much time watching minecraft content over the years

yeah i don’t know what happened. in the earlier seasons people were way more willing to take risks. it’s really frustrating. nothing is really happening.
@@jashi2920 Taking risks often got them killed. The first few seasons are a great example of this

I wanna say again how great it is that this show is back. I still miss the presence of Dean, Barry, and Jeff, but I'm really glad we've got the show back at all, and it still feels like the same show we all love.
I feel like it really isn’t the same without those 3, along with Jared and McJones. But i guess if all those guys were in this season we wouldn’t have new guests either

This series is so delightfully cozy so far-I’m honestly nervous for adventuring to start because I just adore the very slice of life nature~
I like how this season they know so little that it builds tragic irony but know enough to where if anything goes wrong, it won't wipe everyone out. Probably. I mean, in one episode we got people remembering that shields exist, the lesson in wolf taming, and confirmation that everyone understands that gold will be important. This is going to be an especially tense season.
I'm appreciating how laid back it is right now, they've only lost one person so far. The more they lose, especially the more knowledgeable members of the group, the more intense it gets as those who don't know how it all works scramble to still try and succeed. That's when it gets really fun to watch and you're rooting for them more than ever! :D
Just saying: I'm loving the use of the chrono cross music. Really takes me back. Also, episode not done yet, but please nobody die...
If only Jared was here so he could yell BEEEEES!

It is so funny and sometimes adorable that they have no idea what they are doing. It is like playing with friends new to the game again. Like I would have made an enchantment table as soon as I could have, but they didn't even really think about it and instead made items with the diamond they found. I always find this series to be wonderful. It is fun to see them learn things together.
Wanted to mention, that ending was pretty solid. Solid, gripping preview!
You can bring dogs into the Nether. McJones did it in season 3, although it didn’t help.

Oh I HATE attic zombies. They're always terrifying the first time you hear one.
It is rather disappointing to see comments every episode along the lines of "why didn't X do this?" Or "Why haven't they done that yet, it hurts!!?" The lot of you need to remember, this is a gathering of friends to have a fun time, not to be sweaty try-hards and appease every single person that intends to watch this series. So what if their house is 3 different types of wood with no floor? So what if Lucah used the wrong item to try and tame a wolf (which she did get assistance correcting)? So what!
Just about everyone on the HC team has little experience with Minecraft, and part of the experience of playing is (wait for it...) learning! And some of the comments come across more of condescension rather than helpful advice. There is a vast difference between "Omg, I can't believe so-and-so didn't know to __" and "Hey, by the way, did you know that __." If you can't tell the difference between those two statements, then I feel sorry for you.
Again, this is a gathering of friends to have a fun time, let's enjoy that for what it is. There's going to be slower segments, there's going to be beginner misteps, but all of that is topped by the crew having an enjoyable time! So take a step back, calm your keyboards of the aggressive, and often times rude, comments, and just enjoy the show put out for us all!
Yeah, I don't get why people are being so toxic about something so fun and not serious. People keep leaving comments before they watch or finish, complain about not playing optimally or doing more, and one particular piece of shit wants Lucahjin to die next. I wish I could believe in a Hell for that guy to go to. She is a god damn treasure and will make it to the end.

Unless I'm mistaken... this is a business? Normal Boots makes money via various means and they split it. Depending on how you view it then it can be more then a gathering of friends or less. When you start recording it for profit this breaks the argument.

I completely understand the players lack experience and some people are being rude, but talking down to others won't help. It just makes everyone double down on it. Being an jerk doesn't stop jerks. You only stop them if you hit them far harder or prove them wrong in a kind way that doesn't resort to insulting.
I know you're better then this, so be better then this like you want others to be.
being bad at minecraft makes the series better. when my friends and I made hardcores like this we're all perfectly capable of beating minecraft by ourselves on hardcore so it ends up being boring and the only deaths are when we're screwing around. I always have to make challenges or twists to make it harder. Being bad at Minecraft is the reason I watch this, its hilarious seeing them react to the new mobs, and im excited for their reaction to the new nether.

EXACTLY. Honestly if it weren't for the goofing around and the group dynamics, I doubt this show would be distinguishable from any other minecraft videos on youtube
9:05 Actually Diamond Pickaxes are incredibly useful and are entirely worth having multiple for several people. There’s a lot of mining you need to do, from strip mining, to tunneling through the nether. Speaking from experience, you never want to be stuck in the nether without a pickaxe.
All they offer is the advantage of more durability at the cost of a rare material which is better served as armor to keep you from dying. Yes you can mine a few rare substances but those are so rare you're better off saving Diamonds for Enchantment and special items. I've never been stuck in the Nether without a pick, because you can bring extra iron. Losing a diamond hurts more too.
I feel like pbg is really channeling that dean energy
as a guy who knows nothing about minecraft this is quite enjoyable

Man, them making shields and then Chad telling them about the gold stuff gave me utter jubilation... only to switch to Lucah trying to use meat to tame a wolf again. XD
Also, looks like this season is going to be picking up the next few episodes! Been enjoying the interactions from the cast members these calmer ones so I'm pumped!

Technically, if you are providing protection and they are providing the food, it’s more of a knight/serf relationship than slavery, so... take that for what you will, I guess

Tip for Luca, don’t bring pets into the nether. I remember the time I sat my dog down while me and my friend entered a nether fortress. While we were exploring it, a message appeared saying “wolf discovered lava” and when we returned to where I left him, he was gone...
It was more funny than sad as I still have no clue what exactly happened to him lmfao

Guy you can kill a enderman with your bear hands with no armor if you do it smartly. It's best you learn this now because once your in the end there could be hundreds of them on you at once. Build a ceiling that's no more then 2 blocks high. Stay under that and they can't hit you because they are 3 blocks high. Second use water. Water hurts them so if your standing in water they can't hit you. Your going to eventually want to find a spawner and make a simple mob grinder for some easy fast levels. By the time you reach the end you are going to want full enchanting as well as lot of potions. Also enchant books instead of the items its self. You have little control over what enchantments you will get so if you all bad ones you can enchant a book then combine those books to make better enchantments.

I don't know if this is pre-recorded or not but the reason wolf wasn't becoming a dog (tame) is because you have to give it bones. You will know if a wolf becomes tame it will have a collar.

For Bees you need to put a campfire directly under the nest and use shears or a bottle.
Shears let you harvest Honeycombs, and Bottles give you honey
(recipe for campfire in crafting table is 3 logs on the bottom row, coal in the center between two sticks, with a stick above the coal)
if you dont have a campfire under the nest the bees will aggro and if they sting you they will die.
it is recommended to put a carpet above the campfire, and i usually put the campfire one block into the ground, as the bees can catch fire if they touch the campfire.
bees are similar to wolves (and zombie pigmin, R.I.P.) in if you attack one any other bees in the vicinity will aggro. however, if you can get away from them after being aggro'd (and not attack them) they will eventually forgive & forget.
you can feed bees flowers to get them to make babees, they will also follow you while holding one.
bee nests are found naturally and beehives are craftable. a beehive/beenest can only hold 3 bees at a time, so if you have more than 3 bees you'll need to make a new beehive (beehive crafting table recipe- 3 honeycomb middle row with 3 wood planks on top and bottom row. planks dont even have to be the same type of wood)

Sometimes endermen can reach you in a 2 block high ceiling, so rather than standing under a ceiling, it's probably safer to hide in a river or something since enderman can't go in water.
